Change Of Season: Episode 20. The New Chapter, and Raging Storms

   Its the next morning in Sullivan, and at Hall Manor, Natalie sits in the study, and sends a text to Elsie, telling her "She's ok. Adam's also here." In one of the bedrooms, Elizabeth lays in a fetal position, crying for her Mother, as Adam sits by his Daughter's side, as Natalie walks in, and sits in a chair, and Adam tells his Daughter "We'll get though this Elizabeth. I'm here and going nowhere. Nobody will ever hurt you again baby." Natalie agrees, and tells her Great-Granddaughter "Elsie and I think you should stay here, and we'll take baby steps." Elizabeth cries again, as she goes "And here I am pregnant.." Natalie motions her Grandson to follow her, and in the hallway, goes "Its time she knows the truth Adam." Adam goes "Mamaw, can't you see her pain? The way Karen died and that son of a bitch she ran off with and married.." Natalie says "I know, but she has a decision to make, and those results will give her ease. I am a Mother myself, to two of my kids, I know." Adam looks into the bedroom, and looks at his Daughter, as Natalie holds him, and says "She's fine Adam. She's my girl."

    At Smallwood Farm, Robert, Lena, Mason, and Scarlet are in the living room, as Tom yells at his Wife "Tell Natalie we don't need a damn handout!" Elsie yells back "Shut up Tom!" Everyone takes a deep breath, and Scarlet quips "They are still the same. My Daddy always said Elsie was the one that you didn't want to piss off." All agree, as they walk inside, and Lena asks "Where is everyone else?" Tom tells them "Natalie's paying for everything, and she'll be cremated and buried in her hometown of LaFayette. I'll do the burying privately." Robert sighs "Smallwood, you always looking for trouble.." Mason goes "Classic Tom." Elsie hugs her Niece, and tells everyone else "I'm so happy y'all came to pay your respects. Fancy's handling the arrangements as we speak. At The Mansion, Fancy sits upstairs in the living room, as she hangs up the phone, and Fancy gets a text, and snaps "That's enough bitch!" Bo runs out of his office, and goes "Fancy?" Fancy snaps at her Husband "If Caroline wants a fight, we'll have one!" Fancy storms out, as Bo calls Lacey, and tells his Daughter "Maybe put your notice in now."

    At HallBro, Jeff arrives, as Paul greets him, and tells him of Karen's passing, as he says "Well guess since Adam likes me I'll take control until he's ready to return." Paul nods, and says to his Nephew "Wise call." At EBM, Ed and Janet sit in Ford's office, as he arrives, and they go "We heard of what you did from Marcus." Ford snaps "None of your asses are perfect! Want to dig into the past right now and dig skeletons?" Ed yells "Alright enough!" Janet holds Ed's hand, as they both warn Ford "Don't hurt our reputation with your actions." Ford laughs in a cocky tone, as they walk out, and he calls Courtney, but goes to voicemail." At Sullivan University, new professor, Connor Wilde, asks his best friend "Ford again?' Courtney sighs "Yes. I'm tempted to call Chief." Connor reminds her "Well Marcus is across the hall.." Courtney says "Ok then, police department. Jordan." Connor quips "Haven't seen her for years!", as they leave.

    At Ed and Ella's Home, Erica walks inside, and smiles, as Ella asks her Daughter "Did you have sex with Storm?" Erica goes "Mother.. is that your business?" Ella warns "I love Elsie, but can't stand him. He's trouble." Erica goes "Mom he is a free man and off parole thanks to my new Cousin!" Ella sternly goes "Do not get back with him?" Erica heads to her bedroom, to prepare for work, as Ella gets a text, and sighs "Poor Karen." At Anna's Mansion, Anna walks downstairs, as Bambi greets her, as Anna asks "Didn't the two of you get a room?" Bambi tells her "He told me when we had breakfast earlier to just make myself at home for now. You'd be fine with it." Anna is silent, with a thought in her mind, as she walks into the living room, and sends a text to her Mother, to no response.

    At Thayer's, Storm eats breakfast, and thinks of Karen, as he sighs "Can't believe you are gone.", as Jake sits next to him, and asks "So Storm, since you've returned to town, let's make something completely clear. Stay the hell away from my Sister or else you'll answer to me." Bess manages the bar, as Storm gets up, and puts out his arms, and goes "Try me Jake. I'll beat your scrawny ass and Colin Broward would be my choice any day for an attorney thanks to Natalie's good Grandson, her.." Jake attempts to hit Storm, as Storm delivers a blistering punch, as a fight begins to break out, and Bess yells "Stop! Stop!' Storm jumps on top of Storm, and pulls his hair up, and pulls out a knife, and goes "I have no problem doing this, and this wasn't the time for you to play the caring Brother.", holding the knife to Jake's throat, as Bess pleads to Storm to stop..

    Back at Hall Manor, Tom and Elsie arrive, as Adam greets them, and takes them to Elizabeth, as Natalie consoles her, and Tom and Elsie also join in, as Elsie says "Wylene's on her way." Adam goes "That's good." Natalie agrees, as Elizabeth mourns her Mother, and Adam walks into his Grandfather's former study, and Natalie follows and asks her Grandson "I think Jeff should stay with Anna. And move in with me, and this place will be your home, and Elizabeth's." Adam tells his Grandmother "I'm thinking of building my own estate outside of town. Tom's selling me some land, at a cheap deal." Natalie goes "Well cancel your plans, and I'll call Jeff. Look at the desk and you'll change your mind sweet boy. And you are an awesome Dad." Adam walks over, as he goes "Oh shit!!"

    At The Broward Mansion, Caroline sips on a glass of wine, as the doorbell rings, and tells her maid "Tell them to get lost. I need to figure this out on Elizabeth.." Fancy storms inside and screams "BITCH!" Caroline gets up, and angrily yells "Get your ass out of my house whore!" Fancy attempts to attack Caroline, as she throws her glass of wine at Fancy, and pulls out a pistol, and goes "Ok, wanna revisit the past I see. Ok Fancy, let's do that!" Fancy steps back, and warns her "I told my Daughter everything. And Colin knows." Caroline screams "You caused it bitch! You killed Forrest! I saw it!" Fancy screams back "Bitch you has us watched, and walked in with that pistol and shot him dead! And Forrest loved ME! He was tired of your snooty ass!" Caroline coldly says "Fancy Smallwood you are asking to die." Fancy shrugs "Colin is in town, and he'll have you in jail if you kill me." Caroline keeps her pistol aimed at Fancy, silent with fury in her eyes.

     At EBM, Ed sits inside his office, as Janet locks the door, and undresses as Ed smiles "Colin said he'd meet me tonight." Janet smiles "Well baby, say where", walking up to him and taking off his suit piece by piece. In Ford's office, he talks to someone on the other line and says "Good, timing is perfect to take advantage." At HallBro, Jeff, Paul, and Ricky sit inside the conference room, as Jeff tells them "EBM almost has complete control of Broward's!" Paul and Ricky shakes their heads, as Ricky goes "Typical bitch! Karen died and she's going to bank." Paul sighs "When Mama and Natalie merged, they didn't really think it out." Jeff tells them "Adam would declare war." Paul looks around the room, and says "My Son would approve." In the lobby, Lacey is silent, the phone rings, and its Bo, as he warns his Daughter "Your Mama went over to fight Caroline." Lacey hangs up, and calls Storm to no answer.

   Meanwhile Erica sits in her office at WSVN, as Storm walks in with roses, and Erica kisses him, as she gushes "You are a romantic." Storm laughs "Well don't tell everyone." Erica asks "So I heard you and Jake got into it? Mom will go ballistic!" Storm quips "Screw them. We love each other Erica! I don't give a damn what anyone thinks!" Blake happens to pop in and goes "Oops, didn't know you had company." Storm laughs "Ol Blake Clayton!!" Blake glares at Storm, and tells Erica "I don't want him here." Storm snaps "I'll go where I damn please Blake!" Erica sighs with empathy "Storm, you need to go be with your family." Storm quips "Yeah. I do." Storm leaves, and Blake tells her "Don't let me see that again or you'll be working with your Mother!" At the Sullivan Journal, Ella reads some articles, and Jake limps inside, as Ella rushes to her Son, and sits him down, and asks "Who tried to attack you?" Jake goes "Storm." Ella shakes her head, and warns him "He's gonna deal with me now. Let me take you home." They leave.

    At The Broward Mansion, Caroline warns Fancy, turning off the safety "Now leave alive and never speak of this again if you know what's good for you!" Colin walks inside and yells "Stop!" Caroline drops the gun, Fancy rushes her, as they begin to brawl, and Colin causally walks past it and whispers "Get her ass Fancy." At Anna's Mansion, Anna has left, as Bambi walks downstairs, and goes into Anna's desk and explores, to find a piece of paper, as her eyes widen. At The Village Inn, Anna meets Mason and Scarlet, as Anna tells them "Apparently Jeff and Bambi's moving in." Scarlet asks "And why do you sound worried. I've been gone too long." Mason says to his Wife "Wilde. Remember anyone in town with that last name." Scarlet takes a deep breath. Back at Hall Manor, Wylene comforts Elizabeth, as Adam stands in the dining room, as Natalie, Tom, and Elsie all stand around him, as he sighs "I wanted Elizabeth to know first, but here they are." Adam reveals to them the DNA results, as Elsie grabs Tom and starts to cry, Natalie latches to her Grandson, all with sadness in their eyes. In the bedroom, Elizabeth looks at Wylene, and cries "This is a nightmare isn't it?" A tear rolls down her face, as Wylene holds Elizabeth, and sighs "It isn't honey." Back in the dining room, Natalie, Elsie, and Tom are silent, meanwhile Adam walks into the study, and makes a phone call.

 
   

   
 

Change Of Season: Episode 19. The Ends And The New Start

    Evening arrives in Sullivan, and at Hall Manor, Natalie walks into the living room and answers the door, as she pays a delivery driver, and brings in takeout, as the doorbell rings, and Anna stands on the other side, and Natalie asks "So come in sweet girl and fill me in on this." Anna tells her Mother "I don't know where she's staying, but Ford definitely knows." Natalie eats, as she goes "Keep talking." Anna fills her Mother in, as Natalie says "Trisha wants to finish Sarah off by killing Adam, and guesses she will finish me off. I don't care but she'll go first. One way trip to hell." Anna goes "I hope Jeff's enjoying his date." Natalie smiles "Me too. He deserves someone. I think Adam and Courtney are together I learned today." They begin to talk, and share some laughs. At The Village Inn, Jeff tells a woman he's sitting with "This place is an institution in Sullivan, and The Mansion." The woman says "I am glad you asked me out, I always crushed on you." Jeff tells the woman "I've felt the same. My Mama said you were divorced." The woman answers "Yes, but let's think about tonight's date and the dessert", in a seductive tone.

   At Park Lane Medical Center, Karen's vitals slowly drop, and her eyes are closed, and holds onto Elizabeth's hand, as her Daughter sits next to her fighting tears, as Wylene, Elsie, and Tom also stand, and Tom walks outside, as he gets a phone call. Two nurses walk inside, and Karen's eyes open. Meanwhile at EBM, Ford remains, unpacking boxes, as Adam walks inside, and begins to beat him, as Storm follows suit, and joins in as Adam goes "Your ass done messed up now." Adam and Storm fiercely beat him, as Ford yells "Adam you needed to die!!" Adam and Storm drops him, as Adam pulls out his Colt-45, and asks his Brother "Are you asking for a favor? I'll do it two ways if you'd like." Ford backs off, as Adam goes "Stay away from Courtney, or die." They leave, as Ford grows scared, and heads home.

    At Victory Hill, Scarlet holds Courtney, as she tells her family "Adam visited Ford." Mason goes "Well that gesture speaks volumes!" Pat agrees, and Scarlet tells them "If he takes after his Grandmothers, look out." At The Mansion, Fancy waits on customers at the bar, as Caroline walks in, and Fancy turns and whispers "My Husband and Daughter is here" Caroline smiles "Perfect then whore." Fancy warns "You are about to get a whoopin you never received before.." Bo runs downstairs, as he warns Caroline "We already know, and you stay out of it. Leave my Daughter alone." Caroline laughs "Your Daughter, ahh what a joke. Fancy and my Husband made that whore's twin." Fancy attempts to attack Caroline, as she quips "Nice try trash, and you all get out of my affairs if you know what's good for you." Caroline leaves, as Fancy storms upstairs, as Bo looks up, and follows.

    At Paul's Apartment, Paul and Ricky sits in the living room, as Paul reads the reports, and tells him "Adam's going to take this out on me." Ricky tells his friend "If EBM buys majority stake, then its going to be dirty. I know this much, if my Son is the right hand of Adam Lord, we know Adam isn't one to play, and goes by his own rules." Paul asks "Did he kill Danny?" Ricky shakes his head, and tells him "Mama wouldn't have wanted it, but it has been a relief for Mama and Daddy." Ricky heads across the hall, as he tells Paul "We'll meet tomorrow at HallBro to discuss what's to come. Maybe Adam will be there, if not him.." Paul is quiet, as Ricky heads across the hall, into his new apartment, and sits back and turns on the TV, and quips "Damn this is nice!" Back at Paul's Apartment, Paul calls Adam, as he gets no answer, and looks up, and says with sadness in his voice "If I knew what to do to make him love me.." Paul has a thought, and makes a phone call.

    Meanwhile at Robert and Lena's Home, Lena walks inside, as Robert tells his Wife "Did you and Pat go wild at the mall?" Lena rolls her eyes, and quips "We caught up, had dinner down at Thayer's, then went and caught some sales at Broward's." Robert nods, as there's a knock at the door, and Robert sighs "It's late. Maybe it's Clarke." Robert opens, as Teddy stands on the other end, and Robert boldly tells his Son "There's no need for you to show up here!" Lena hugs her Son, and yells her Husband "Shut up Chief!" Lena invites her Son to sit down, as Robert asks "So what kinda trouble you done found now boy?" Teddy asks his Father "Can't I just drop by?" Robert gets angry, and Lena asks "Does the Chief want me to cut on the a/c and put him on the couch?" Robert grows quiet, as Lena says "Son what's going on?" Teddy tells his Parents "I might be the Father to Elizabeth's child. I've gotten some visits from Storm Smallwood. He's working for Adam." Robert and Lena both look at Teddy, as Robert asks "So that's why you're limping around. Now I'm leaving the Halls alone! Adam's got a lot of power, and.." Lena asks her Son "Do you know for sure?" Teddy shakes his head, as he says "I don't know what Adam's planning. Only he knows, but he's got me thinking of packing up and leaving town." Robert warns his Son "If this child is yours Teddy, you best be a damn man and be a Father." Teddy answers "All I know is I am in trouble and.." Robert walks to the door, and goes "You need to decide what to do because we're not getting involved, and now you can leave!" Teddy leaves, as Lena snaps "Chief, our Son is in danger!" Robert goes "His problem" Lena yawns, and goes "Well enjoy the couch, I'm going to bed. Alone." Lena heads to the bedroom, as Robert calls Jordan, and asks "So did you visit Ford?" Jordan, sitting at the bar inside Thayer's, answers "He wasn't home, but somebody was there." Robert thanks her, and goes "All I needed to know." Robert hangs up, as he also calls it a night, finding a blanket, and snarls "Teddy's done got me on the couch!"

     At Ed and Ella's Home, Ella hangs up with Jake, as she says to herself "Erica, PLEASE..." At Park Lane Medical Center, Adam arrives, and Tom asks "Where's Storm? Elizabeth could use him too." Adam goes "He had some "therapy" as he put it." Tom grins, as Adam walks into Karen's room, and Elizabeth holds her Mother's hand, as Elsie and Wylene holds her other one, as Adam approaches, and they let go, as he holds it, and says "I'm here Karen." Karen's eyes opens, as a smile comes across her face." Stephanie checks her vitals, and says "It's time everyone." Elsie comforts Elizabeth, as Adam kisses his former Wife, and says "Our Daughter is fine. I'll always make sure of that. Tell my Mom I love her sweetie." Karen looks at Elizabeth, as she goes "I'm gonna miss you Mommy.." Karen grabs her hand, as tears rolls down her face, as Wylene adds "I'll always be here for your baby. Know that." Karen looks around, as her vitals drop.. In the waiting area, Tom calls his Grandson, to voicemail as he goes "Damnit Storm! Your ass needs to get down here now!" Tom hangs up, and also starts to cry.

    Back at Hall Manor, Natalie and Anna are in the den, as Natalie hangs up the phone with Jeff, as Anna asks her Mother "So he's getting a room?" Natalie asks her Daughter "Remember Bambi Wilde and her gay Brother?" Anna nods, as she goes "Connor's moved back. Had no idea on her." Natalie sighs "I don't like this. That girl is bad news." Anna reminds her Mother "You love Jeff in a special way. He's grown, and so is she, so calm down and have a cigarette." Natalie lights up a cigarette, and warns Anna "If she hurts him, I'll tear her ass to shreds!" Anna gasps. Back at Ed and Ella's Home, Ella calls Erica, as she too gets voicemail, and simply gives up, and texts her Mother, as Natalie replies "Duh." Ella is silent. At the Dixie Motor Lodge, in one room, Storm walks out of the bathroom, and unrobes, as Erica tells him "Come here you.. Let's keep making up for lost time and freedom!" Storm lays next to her naked body, as he kisses her, and says "I have missed you my forever." Erica tells him "We can now be a power couple with our connections. And we'll really have what we've longed for." Storm goes "So wanna try?" They begin to make love. In another room, Jeff and his date, Bambi Wilde, has sex, as the radio plays slow jams.

    At Victory Hill, Courtney sits in her room, reading Adam's text, as she says in a sad tone "He's lost so much, and I.." Scarlet walks into her bedroom, and asks "What's going on?" Courtney hands her Mother the phone, and Scarlet reminds her Daughter "Courtney, remember Mason's first Wife, well it was terrible, and she still breathes, but in this case, Mason had no children, and I don't know Elizabeth, but I can definitely find out when I see Aunt Elsie." Courtney goes "Elizabeth is known to work for Teddy King, and Adam told me about Danny's abuse." Scarlet gently says "Hold no grudges, and help her. She will need you if you want your love with Adam to grow." In the living room, Pat tells her Brother "I just talked to Elsie on the phone, and I got to head to the airport. With her situation.." Mason hugs his Sister, and says "See you soon and be careful. Make sure to send Scarlet some photos." Pat tells her Brother "Tell Scarlet and Courtney I love them, and I am so proud of all of you!" Pat leaves to go on her cruise, as Mason sits down, and thinks of his call earlier, as he yells "I'm off to bed." Scarlet yells "See you soon!" In Courtney's bedroom, Courtney goes "Mom and Dad made it, and so can Adam and me." Scarlet sits next to her, and kisses her, and goes "Love has no age sweetheart. Goodnight." Scarlet walks out and turns out the light, as both call it a night.

     At The Broward Mansion, Caroline asks Colin "Are you settled in?" Colin tells his Sister In Law "I am, and now let's talk about you Sis." Caroline gets up and heads upstairs for the night, as Colin pours a drink, and says "Yes, let's talk about my Brother." At Hall Manor, Anna has left for the evening, and Natalie sits in the den, and watches the TV, as her phone rings. She answers it, as she goes "Oh no.." At Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie walks into the waiting area, as Ricky, Fancy, and Lacey has arrived, and Tom holds Elsie, as she cries with hurt "Danny did this!" I failed!!" The Smallwood family braces together in a hug, consoling Elsie, as she cries "Damnit!" In Karen's Room, Wylene holds one of Karen's Hands, as does Elizabeth, with Adam holding his Daughter, as Stephanie checks the clock, and says with sadness "She's gone." In the waiting area, all hear a blood curling scream, as inside, Elizabeth breaks down and screams "NO MOMMY!!! NO!!!!" Adam wraps her tightly in her arms, as Wylene also holds onto her, as Elsie and Tom also run inside, as Karen Smallwood has passed away.

 




   

 

Change Of Season: Episode 18. The Turning Points

    At Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie, Tom, Fancy, Bo, sits inside the waiting area, as the Doctor says "We need to let her know its ok to let go." In Karen's Room, Wylene looks at Karen, as she hold Wylene and Elizabeth's hands, and says "Look out for each other." Karen starts to look around, as she takes a deep breath, and the Doctor walks in, as he goes "Vitals slowly dropping. She's slowly hanging on."Wylene says "Karen's tough.", Karen falls to sleep, and Elizabeth looks at her Mother, with tears rolling down her face, as Elsie walks in and motions Elizabeth over, and says gently "Honey it's time." Elizabeth cries "I.." Elsie holds her, as she says "We're all going to be fine Karen." Wylene adds "She can hear us, so hearing that will help the transition. Too bad she had to endure the hell she did."

    At HallBro, Storm walks inside, as he asks Lacey "Where's Adam?" Lacey quips "He got a call and left. How do you work for him?" Storm laughs "Well Lacey, he thinks like me." Lacey takes a deep breath, as she says "Oh shit.." Storm asks "Is Dad here?" Lacey nods, and goes "We should start our own P.I. business." Storm laughs "I heard what you're doing. I'm game." Storm heads to his Father's office, as he walks in and says "Let's go get a meal. On me." Ricky nods, as they head to The Crown downstairs. Meanwhile at EBM, Adam walks in, as Ed goes "Lord. You aren't welcomed here." Adam walks around the lobby, and says "I was tipped off. And you really made a bad deal. And let's discuss your last encounter before the boys flew away." Ed snaps "Don't bring that up to me you son of a bitch!" Adam asks "I know you may be my Grandchild's Father, and I'm issuing you a warning. Stay out of this kids life if your name is on the DNA test." Ed yells "You already know that but can't remember who shot you. Too bad you wore protection." Ford walks into the lobby, as Adam turns to his Brother, and turns back to Ed, and tells them "We'll meet again now, and sleep with your eyes open." Adam leaves, as Ed looks at Ford, as he is quiet, and they look towards Janet's office, where she sends a text, and gets a response, with a smile on her face.

     At Thayer's, Bess waits on Anna and Jeff, as she tells them "I got a call from Mom. She's back in town, and acting strange." Anna looks at her Son, and turns to her Niece, as she asks "Bess, do you think.." Jeff goes "She's out for revenge for The Queen showing up and planning to kill her." Bess asks "Is Gram an alcoholic?" Anna tells her "Sweetie, she's just gotten more bolder." At Hall Manor, Natalie and Caroline walks in, as she tells Caroline "What is wrong with you?" Caroline says "Lacey knows." Natalie asks "Knows..." Caroline yells "You remember old woman!" Natalie is silent, and gasps "Oh no. Hold down for now and remember one thing, our Great-Granddaughter is involved!" Caroline nods, as Natalie shakes her head, and lights a cigarette, as she tells Caroline "And Karen's at the end now so back off of Elsie!"

    Meanwhile at the charred remains of Ricky and Janet's home, Janet stands outside with Colin Broward, brother in law to Caroline, as he warns her "This is war you know. Caroline was married to my oldest Brother, and she has more clout.." Janet yells "We're not talking about her! Smallwoods.." Colin laughs "Tom and Elsie aren't anyone I'd wanna piss off." Janet asks "Now you have seen what Storm did, what's my chances?" Colin says "I represent winners, not losers. Storm knows Adam Lord. That name is connected to two of this town's most powerful families, and first ladies." Janet looks out towards her former home, and says "Time for them to lose the throne." A police car drives by slowly. Meanwhile, at Village Inn, Robert, Mason, Scarlet, and Marcus have coffee after their reunion, as Mason asks his best friend "So Chief, you still surprise me to think of you as Chief Of Police, when you used to be Dean of Sullivan University." Scarlet looks at Marcus, as she tells him "You got lucky to have him for a big brother." Marcus agrees, as Robert quips "We know where Lena and Pat went, down to the mall, and we won't hear from those two. They are talking about me. Bad things." All laugh, as they share memories, as Marcus gets a text, and goes "Wow, Broward quit." Mason asks "Ford Broward?" Scarlet nods, telling her Husband "He's the one Courtney said creeps her out." Mason goes "But when they were kids they were friends." Robert reminds them "People change. I'm watching him too in Adam Lord's attempted murder. Vest or not, they could have shot someone that we seen today and this town would change forever. I can't let it happen!" Marcus adds "He and I have exchanged words, but been tempted to lose my temperament. Better than Chief." "Mason goes "Now stop that y'all. I want Courtney safe." Scarlet assures him "Honey she's strong, like you." Robert sends a text, and says "I'm sending my pal Clarke over to see Ford. But that stays secret." They agree.

      At The Crown, Jake and Erica has lunch, as he goes "Stephanie's looking after Karen Smallwood." Erica asks "Where's Mom?" Jake answers "Aunt Anna called her and made plans." Erica is silent, as she quips "There is trouble brewing." Jake agrees, going "No shit! Makes ya wanna get on drugs. Dad's really trying me Sissy." Erica assures him "I got along with Blake Clayton, and discussed him earlier, so when I get my first feature, it'll be on my sperm donor as I'd like to call him." Jake asks "Can't forgive him huh?" Erica goes "I lost my baby Jake. He pushed me in rage when I told him and Mom, I lost her.." Storm walks by, as Erica looks up, and Storm looks at Erica, as their eyes meet, and Jake asks "What are you doing these days since you're out of jail." Storm ignores him, and asks Erica "When did you return?" Erica answers "Recently. I got your letters." Storm smiles, and says "Dad divorced Janet, and we're having lunch together. Great seeing you. I'm out at the farm with Mamaw and Papaw." Jake glares at him, as he walks away, and Erica warns her Brother "Don't even go there."

    Meanwhile at the offices for the local newspaper, the Sullivan Journal, Ella and Anna are inside her office, as Ella goes "Wanna write some stories? We could talk about Daddy building Hall into HallBro.." Anna tells her Sister "Well you own this, and I'd ask Mama instead." Ella asks "Have you spoken to her?" Anna goes "Not today. She had the reunion and who knows with her." Ella laughs "Ain't that right." Colin walks inside, and introduces himself, as Ella and Anna both check him out, and Anna asks "Well handsome, please say you're single?" Ella goes "Anna.." Colin tells them "I am Ed's lawyer, and found out from him where you were." Ella asks "So now you know, and you can leave me alone! And how could you!!" Colin tells Ella "I may be Caroline's Brother In Law, but work has to be done." Anna quips "And I was going to go out with you. There that goes." Ella warns "My Daughter works in media, as do I, and I can make you a loser for a first time knowing your past!" Colin laughs "Well look, let's all chat, and know I hate Ed." Colin tells his plan, as Ella and Anna's eyes widen.

    At Thayer's, Caroline meets with Paul, as she tells her Son "Natalie threatened me, so.." Paul reminds his Mother "Now's not the time anyway." Caroline tells her Son "I always enjoy coming here." Bess walks over and greets her Father and Grandmother with hugs, as Bess tells them "Mom's returned." Caroline's eyes turn red, as Paul goes "Bess, you should've told me without Mama here." Caroline says "I think she's also watching me!" Paul tells his Mother "I am thinking you are losing it!!" Caroline tells them "Lacey knows some things best left in the past, I trust nobody right now. Just waiting." At Park Lane Medical Center, Karen sleeps, as Wylene leaves, and Tom and Elsie stands at her bedside, as does Elizabeth, as Elizabeth tells them "I can't." Tom tells her "Now Adam has work to do. I think he'd be here. You got us also remember?" Elsie hugs her, and Elizabeth asks "Should I keep this child?" Karen grabs her Daughter's hand, as Karen whispers "It'll be a reminder of me for you for lifetime my sweet baby." Karen's vitals continue to drop. In the waiting area, Bo tells his Wife and Daughter "Do I need to visit Caroline?" Fancy tells her Husband "NO! Leave her alone." Fancy and Lacey gets another text, as they both grow furious, looking at a picture.

    At HallBro, Jeff, Ricky, and Lacey are in the break room, as Adam walks inside, and asks Lacey "So what are you doing here? I know you got dirt." Ricky rolls his eyes, as Lacey storms out, as Adam tells them "I just got a call that EBM bought public stock in Broward's.." Everyone gets furious, as Adam warns them "If it fails, I'll let you deal with it." Adam walks out, as he gets a text, and heads to the hospital. At Hall Manor, Natalie sits in the study, and texts Elsie, as she pours a drink, and gets a phone call. At Ford's Loft, Trisha paces the floor, as she says "Mommy one of us has to go. I want mine. So you lose bitch." At Sullivan University, Courtney walks into her room, as Ford walks behind her as she yells "Go on Ford! I am tired of your shit!" Ford laughs "Well I thought.." Courtney yells "I love Adam!" Ford strikes Courtney across the face, as Mason happens to walk inside and delivers a left hook. At Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie and Tom sit alone in the waiting room, and warns "When this is over, I'm getting Caroline for bringing up Fancy's past. That bitch knows she's guilty as well." Tom reminds his Wife "Let's focus on Karen's last moments, and be here for our Granddaughter." In Karen's Room, Elizabeth tells her Mother, as she is barely alive and eyes closed "Dad's on his way." Wylene meanwhile has returned, and comforts Elizabeth, as Elsie walks inside, and sheds a tear.


   

 

Change Of Season: Episode 17. The Price To Be Free

    Its the next morning, and at Park Lane Medical Center, Elizabeth wakes up, as Karen sleeps, and nudges her Mother, as Elsie walks in and goes "She's resting. She was in pain and the nurse gave her some strong medication to help her rest." Elizabeth looks at her adopted Grandmother, and goes "I'm not ready to let her go Grandma." Elsie hugs Elizabeth, and says to her gently "She knows now you are ok, and you're safe. She has peace honey." Elizabeth cries in Elsie's arms, as Elsie also sheds a tear silently. At The Crept Myrtle, Adam wakes, and looks over, as Courtney sleeps, and kisses her gently on her forehead, and strokes her hair, as both are naked, and a smile of happiness shows on Adam's face, as her eyes open, and turn to him, as he goes "You are beautiful when you sleep. Actually all the time." Courtney kisses him, and says "You were awesome, and I know who I want now." Adam goes "Me too Professor." They kiss again, and head to the bathroom together, getting into the shower, and makes love to her again.

     At Paul's apartment, Paul and Bess has coffee, as Bess assures her Father "When Gram and Grandmother get wind of it, Ford's in some shit!" Paul asks "Have you met Adam yet?" Bess answers "Once in Thayer's with Elizabeth Travis. The slut.." Paul warns "Bess, if you dare want a relationship with your Brother, you need to understand he will not tolerate anybody talking about anyone he loves." Bess asks "Dad does he love you?" Paul sighs with sadness "Marrying Trisha destroyed my chances I fear. I lost two Sons now." Bess hugs her Father. At Ford's Loft, Ford cooks breakfast, and goes "Stay here and rest, you are risking it each time since I bailed you out of jail in Adam's Landing, and will not do it again!" Trisha walks into the kitchen, and tells her Son "You are making me proud, and Paul got the apartment, but I will always be his Wife!" Ford asks "Want a job at EBM when it gets off the ground?" Trisha smiles, and says "No thanks. I have other ambitions." Trisha walks into the bedroom, as Ford looks at his Mother for a moment and has a thought.

     At Hall Manor, Natalie sits in the den, as Jeff has left and Erica walks in and hugs her Grandmother, as she says "Mom made breakfast." Natalie goes "I like her better without your Father." Erica laughs "Gram! Me too!" Natalie tells her Granddaughter "Great things happening and eventually that shooter will be found." Erica asks "Want me to look in it?" Natalie pulls out her checkbook, and says "Money talks at WSVN." Erica turns her down, as she hugs her and heads to WSVN, as Natalie makes a phone call. At Ed and Ella's Home, Ella sits on the back porch, as she yells "What are you doing here?" Ed snaps "Its all mine and my lawyer will see to it!" Ella warns her Husband "You hurt me too damn many times and sorry you lost the boys Ed, but I will call Chief up if you come back!" Ed yells "Do it!" Jake meanwhile walks in, and hears them, and grabs his Father, and coldly says "Ever raise your voice to my Mom again I'll kill you! Do you understand me.." Ed nods, as Ella adds "Get the hell out!" Ed storms out, as Jake asks his Mother "So I have learned Colin Broward, Caroline's Brother In Law, is Dad'a lawyer. He is flawless and legendary." Ella is silent, and tells her Son "Let's go see Aunt Caroline before Ed brainwashes him!"

     At The Broward Mansion, Caroline drinks coffee, as she sends a text, and says to herself "Well whore, you want to tell the truth, I can help you with that." Caroline picks up an envelope, and looks at it, and says "Didn't want to do this, but here we go." At The Mansion, Fancy, Bo, and Lacey sits at the table, and Bo tells them "Caroline is going to come after the two of you. This was her tipping point, and yes, Fancy and I spent some years apart. She stayed at the farm.." Lacey asks her Mother "So why didn't you ever tell me?" Fancy goes "My life was literally threatened. Caroline Broward is not the one I want to upset, but it was something that happened, and just before Bo, so that's all I wanna say." Lacey and her Mother hug, as Bo joins, as he tells them "She can't break us."

    Meanwhile at Smallwood Farm, Ricky arrives, as he brings some files, as Tom tells his Son "Elsie needs you, I got work to do around here." Ricky goes "Tell Storm to help! Get his mind off of trouble!" Tom quips "Adam Lord got him busy." Ricky agrees, as Tom says "Let's go in and sign these. It'll boost my crop sales." Back at Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie tells Elizabeth "Tom's working on the farm. He's sensitive anyway although he doesn't show it." Elizabeth tells her "Mamaw Natalie's not coming it appears, and Dad's stopping in later." Elsie gets a text, and tells Elizabeth "Get me when she wakes." Elsie walks outside and calls Caroline, and Caroline quips "Why my I wondered how long it'd be before you got involved." Elsie snaps angrily "My Daughter In Law is dying, and back off or I'll take my frustrations out on you!" Caroline replies "Elsie I am not scared of a nobody." Elsie boldly tells Caroline "Come down here and console Elizabeth, and let's chat, Granny to Granny bitch." Elsie hangs up, and walks outside for a cigarette.

     At EBM, Ed and Janet arrive, as Ford greets them, and quips "Good to have a loft nearby." They laugh, as Janet says "Let's check these files for one of HallBro's biggest names, Broward's." Ed quips "The Department Store is dead." Ford agrees, and Janet goes "But not the real estate." At HallBro, Paul arrives, as Jeff greets his Uncle, and says to him "Did you see the news?" Paul assures him "We are safe. One thing I've found out with Adam as CEO, is he doesn't break what's not broke. We're about to run this EBM out of business." Jeff quips "Ed, Janet, and Ford.. That won't last." Adam arrives, as Lacey greets him, and Adam walks into his office, and locks the door, as he sits at his desk, and gets a text, as he opens the results to Elizabeth's baby's Father. At The Flamingo, Storm walks inside, and Teddy warns him "I don't want you in here.." Storm grabs Teddy, and says "Now let's talk about my boss, and what my boss thinks to you, as Storm begins to beat him, and a fight breaks out.

     At Ed and Ella's Home, Erica sits in the kitchen as Jake has left, and Ella assures her Daughter "Ed won't win. I know the judge." Erica asks "Mom what do you know?" Ella quips "Its Scarlet's Sister Jo, from Adam's Landing. She's standing in for someone else." Erica gets up, and Ella tells her Daughter "All the best for your first day!" Erica goes "Same for you Ms. Editor of the Sullivan Journal." At Park Lane Medical Center, Jake and Stephanie stand at the nurse's station, as Jake shares of what happened, and Stephanie reminds her Husband "Baby, Ella can hold her own. You know it, and Erica's in town, and she's really gotten more confident than she used to be." Jake tells his Wife "She's always been a very sweet person, like she doesn't see bad in people, and if she does, good luck getting her to admit it." Stephanie gets a page, and says "Time to go down and check on Karen." Jake kisses his Wife, and says "Send Elsie and Elizabeth a hug from me.", as he leaves and Stephanie walks to Karen's Room, as Karen wakes, but looks at Elsie and Elizabeth, and weakly smiles, as she tells them "It's close. Call Wylene please." Elizabeth comforts her Mother, as Stephanie walks inside, and Elsie tells her "Get Wylene in here!" Stephanie sends a text, and Elizabeth asks "Are we leaving the hospital?" Stephanie opens a report, and says "The doctor says at most a week." Elizabeth runs out of the room, as Karen cries and says "My little girl won't have me, but at least she has what she needs, love. It'll help her... It helps me." Stephanie holds her hand, and says "I admire you." Outside Elsie hugs Elizabeth and says "Calm down now. You are pregnant." Elizabeth cries "Grandma what if I have an abortion?" Elsie snaps "No talk of it!" Wylene runs down, and hugs Elsie and Elizabeth, as she goes into Karen's room.

     At Thayer's, in a private room, Natalie, Caroline, Robert, Lena, Mason, Scarlet, and Pat sits as they have a reunion, and everyone talk amongst themselves, as Mason talks to Natalie and says "How come you never change? You act like in school. One bad girl." Natalie laughs "You always were full of it. Good thing you married a young woman." Scarlet quips "Ms. Hall as you asked. I am surprised to see you. Poor Aunt Elsie couldn't make it." Mason is quiet, and walks away, as Natalie says "Karen has no family, except for her In Laws and Elizabeth, my new Granddaughter, because I'm not quite ready for the Great era yet, but she's giving me a double and making me feel old!" Scarlet drinks a glass of wine and tells her "Stop it! You are still likely hiding your age and hair color also? Yes!" Natalie laughs "You were a model, you know how we do it, though I was just a simple housewife, married to the greatest Man in the world. In another area, Caroline, Robert, Lena, and Pat all chat, as Lena and Pat talk of working at the old elementary school, and Lena tells Caroline "Back off the Smallwoods. They got enough to deal with. You have held it in too long, and Elizabeth doesn't need to deal with you, and your hatred for Fancy!" Robert sighs "Damn if its hard being Police Chief!" Pat tells him "Considered retiring and traveling? I thought I'd hate it, but loved hanging out with Mason." Robert goes "He's a legend in country music. And Scarlet always been a stunner." Lena coughs, and Robert kisses his Wife, and tells her "But nothing compared to you woman." Lena gushes "My sweet baby." Caroline walks away, and catches Mason on the phone, and asks him "So what was the call about? I see worry." Mason quickly answers "It's nothing Caroline. You look well. I miss Forrest." Caroline looks around, and walks out with emotion in her eyes, as she has a flashback.

     Back at HallBro, Jeff is allowed inside, as he tells Jeff "So now I am considering something." Jeff asks his Cousin "Like what Adam? And shouldn't you talk to Paul." Adam says "EBM, will be destroyed. Danny will enjoy his tour of Europe he's experiencing, and for Teddy, well.." Jeff asks "Which one is the Father?" Adam answers "I'll tell my Daughter first, then it's up to her." In Ricky's Office, Paul walks inside, and asks "So how's single life?" Ricky says 'It's the best I've ever felt. Robert surprising didn't get involved. Likely due to Adam. He still hates you huh?" Paul nods, as Ricky sighs "I don't know what to say." Paul adds "I know. I know.." At Hall Manor, Trisha pulls up outside, and pulls out a pistol, but isn't allowed through the gates. At Park Lane Medical Center, Bo and Fancy arrive, as does Tom, as Elsie tells them "She's getting close. Wylene and Elizabeth's in there." In Karen's room, Karen looks at her Daughter, and her best friend, and says "I'm ready now."

   

   

Change Of Season: Episode 16. When The Doors Begin To Close

    As evening's approached in Sullivan, at Park Lane Medical Center, Karen is in a room, as Elizabeth sits at her Mother's side, as Adam stands by his Daughter, with his hand on her shoulder, as Karen weakly goes "Seeing the two of you give me peace. I wish I could stay.." Elizabeth cries "Mommy you are a fighter! You will beat this!" Adam is silent, with emotion in his eyes, as he assures Karen "Our girl will be ok." Karen smiles, as she holds her Daughter's hand, as she begins to cry. In the waiting room, Elsie, Tom, Fancy, Storm, sit as Elsie goes "Natalie's paying for everything." Tom snaps "She does not have to do that!" Elsie snaps "Tom! She wants to make a kind gesture, something she rarely does." Storm gets up, as he hugs his Grandparents, and says "Time to go meet Dad at the Village Inn. He's getting settled in his new place." Fancy sighs "At least some good things are happening in our family." Tom and Elsie holds hands, and Fancy calls Lacey, but to no answer.

    At HallBro, Lacey finishes up, as Jeff and Paul has left, and the elevator opens, as Caroline walks inside and goes "Listen here you bitch, do you think I'm too old to know what you are up to? I have something you never seen called money." Lacey gets angry, and warns her "Are you scared? Think I know something you don't? Anything you are keeping from me.." Caroline snaps fiercely "I hide nothing from you or your Mother, the whore of Sullivan!" Lacey yells "And I know I am a Broward, but would have liked to have met my real Father.. what else?" Caroline goes "Lacey dear, Robert doesn't come after me, he is my friend, and you now.. so there goes a score with Paul and Adam." Caroline adds "When Elizabeth is able, she's replacing you. My call bitch, deal with it." Caroline walks back to the elevator, as Lacey fumes, and as Caroline leaves, says "And you don't want that known do you.."

   At Hall Manor, Natalie has ordered pizzas, as Ella, Anna, Jeff, Jake, Stephanie, and Erica sits in the dining room, and Natalie says "I'd had a meal made but more important things are going on right now." Jeff asks "What is it?" Ella tells her Nephew "Jeff, Ford is going to work for.." Jeff goes "Ah. Paul told me about that." Natalie snarls "He is the type to pull some shit like that. I'd like to put a damn bullet in him!" Erica gasps at her Grandmother "Gram! You used to be sweet.." Natalie laughs "I am who I am sweetie. Now don't have sex with Blake for bonuses at WSVN." Everyone laughs, as Anna says "This is nice, all of us here together." Jake stands up, and goes "Stephanie and I as you all know are married, and we're expecting." Natalie goes "Another one." Ella gets emotional, and hugs her Son and Daughter In Law, as Erica also hugs her Brother and Sister In Law, as Jeff looks at his Mother, as Anna looks at Natalie, as she lights a cigarette.

    Meanwhile at Victory Hill, Courtney walks inside, as she's moved in with her parents, as Mason Cooke and his Sister, Pat Chase, yells "We're home!" Courtney hugs her Father and Aunt, as she asks "How was Europe?" Pat goes "Child it was awesome! Mason blew them all away and I had a lot of fun. Retirement from the classroom isn't too hard. But before I leave for my cruise in a few days, I'm meeting with Lena and compare." Everyone laughs, as Scarlet has her hands wrapped around Mason, and says "Courtney's in love with somebody everyone." Courtney blushes, as Mason and Pat get curious, and Mason asks his Daughter "Well honey, who is he?" Courtney sighs "Adam Lord." Mason asks his Daughter "Well I'm gonna need to meet him." Courtney tells her Father "Daddy, he's a busy man. And very private. He's Natalie Hall's Grandson." Pat gasps, as she goes "Finally! And she has searched for so long, maybe she's willing for a visit." Scarlet tells her Aunt "She's very reclusive. Elsie's the only one she really lets in. Jeff stays with her, but she hasn't even reached out to me yet." Mason quips "Those Martin girls were always hard to catch." Everyone laughs, as Scarlet opens a bottle of wine, and everyone celebrates Mason and Pat's return, as Courtney thinks of Adam, as she gets a text, and takes a deep breath, and a look of concern.

    At The Crown, Ed, Janet, and Ford has dinner, as Ed goes "We're calling our new private equity firm Ed Banks and Morris, EBM for short." Ford asks what about adding a B?" Janet snaps "It's perfect! So deal with it. We will all gain! I know Broward's secrets." Ed adds "Same for Hall. They might think they are a powerhouse, not yet! We're going to break them!" Paul and Ricky walk by, as Paul laughs "Well look Ricky, they already getting started.." Ricky glares at his Ex Wife, as Paul looks at his Son, and tells him "I have had enough of your ass Ford! All because I divorced your Mom!" Ed goes "Ella's giving me mine!" Janet nods, as Paul warns them "Adam and I might bond over this. And Ford, you're in deep shit now. Son, whatever you get, is just well, what you get." Ricky tells his Ex-Wife "Janet, I'm now working again, and got a place of my own. Storm and I have some peace." Paul and Ricky leave, as Ed tells them "So let's make a toast." They say 'To EBM!", as Ed, Janet, and Ford toast.


    Back at Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie tells her Husband and Daughter, as they stay in the waiting room "Ricky sends his love. He'll visit tomorrow. You know him, all work." Robert, Lena, and Wylene arrive, as Robert and Lena asks "How is she?" Fancy sighs "She won't make it much longer. We'll be lucky if through the night. Adam's with Elizabeth. We're giving them their time." Wylene tells them "I'm going in there. That's my best friend." Robert and Lena asks Tom, Elsie, and Fancy "Want to say a prayer?" They nod, as they hold hands as Lena leads in prayer. In Karen's room, the nurse checks her vitals, as Karen is awake, and Elizabeth sits next to her Mother, and Adam stands at her bedside, and holds her hand, and says "I just wish you'd tried to find me, but I know you had enough on your hands." Karen weakly says "Adam, thank you for understanding." Elizabeth walks into the waiting room, as Wylene walks in, and Adam goes "I have to go now. I'll be by tomorrow." Karen smiles, as Adam walks into the waiting room, and Karen looks at Wylene, and says "I'm ready." Outside Elizabeth breaks down, as Adam holds his Daughter tightly, and asks "Are you ok enough to stay with her tonight." Elsie walks over and says "Tom and I are staying." Fancy gets a text and storms out.

    Back at Hall Manor, Jake, Stephanie, and Ella has left, as Erica asks her Grandmother "I understand Ford's shit, but what about Bess?" Natalie answers "She manages Thayer's. Don't ask me about them bastards." Anna warns her Niece "Mama hates anything attached to Trisha, Jeff agrees, as he calls it a night and hugs his Mother and Grandmother, and heads to his bedroom. Anna tells her Mother and Niece "I guess now I should head home. Welcome back Erica and we'll help your Mama keep her home from Ed!" Erica hugs her Aunt, as Anna leaves, and Erica tells Natalie "Thanks for asking me to stay, reminds me of being a little girl." Natalie smiles "I always liked you. So independent, and very smart. My kinda gal. Wanna go watch some poker in the den and see what we can finish off from dinner?" They hug, and head into the den. Outside, someone hides in the bushes, as Anna pulls away.

     At The Mansion, Lacey walks upstairs, and looks at her Father, and Bo goes "I see you found out." Lacey nods, and goes "I'm being tracked by Caroline. She knows we know. And I want my due." Bo asks "Can you accept this?" Lacey sighs "I never even met him, you always will be my Dad!" They hug, as Bo asks his Daughter "Where's Fancy?" At The Broward Mansion, Fancy rings the doorbell, as Caroline opens the door, and says "Please dear, walk into my living room. The one I love to show off to remind you of my power." Fancy snaps "Damnit bitch get to it before these antiques are broken!" Caroline laughs "Fancy, your spawn knows, but what does she NOT know?" Fancy warns Caroline "Bitch if you even.." Caroline sighs "I feel for Bo. Good guy, too bad he met a whore named Fancy, who made him think Lacey was his.." Fancy gets angry, and Caroline warns "Now, stay calm and we'll make a deal. I give you money, and Lacey can start up a business if she's a true Broward and she, and Bo stop digging into that part of the past, or I just casually tell her since I do see Paul, and you seem to like to do the same." Fancy goes "Caroline we are lifelong friends." Caroline quips "And you are a lifetime whore, but wanna make a deal?" Fancy tells her "Go to hell you old bitch!" and leaves, as Caroline yawns, and has a thought before calling it a night.

     Down at The Flamingo, Storm has a drink, as he tells Teddy "I'll work down here.." Teddy goes "Ahh hell nah man! I know you work for Adam Lord, and about Danny." Storm smiles "Another free drink to shut me up on the thought Elizabeth might be carrying your child!" Teddy pours another drink, as Storm laughs to himself, and yells "I wanna fight damnit! Who wants this!" Looking around the bar. At The Crept Myrtle, Adam walks into his suite, as its quiet, and texts his Daughter, as Elizabeth texts "At Hospital with Mom. Ok for now. Love you." Adam is silent, as he gets emotional, as there's a knock at his door, he walks up, and is cautious, gun in pocket, as he opens and finds Courtney, as she tells him "Everyone back home called it a night, but Adam, I want you. Now.." Adam locks the door, as they begin to tear off each others clothes and heads to the bed.. Back at Hall Manor, Natalie and Erica are in the study, as she tells her "I know your Mama is going to keep her house. Ed will lose." Erica is stunned, as she asks "You have turned into the Godmother haven't you?" Natalie smiles "Maybe".
 

 
 

Change Of Season: Episode 15. The Aftermath

    On the last episode three shots were fired inside The Magnolia Room, the action was picking up in Sullivan, as we now pick up Change Of Season, one week later.


    At Hall Manor, Natalie sits inside her den, as Caroline sits across from her, as Elizabeth walks into the room, as Natalie reminisces on what happened "He's the only one who knows. I know when he yelled at us and knocked me down, he saved me.." Caroline looks up, as Elizabeth goes "I'm filling in for my Grandma today, as Mom's going to the doctor and..." Caroline sighs with sadness "Honey, I'm so sorry about Karen. I will do my best not to judge the trash you were brought up in.." Natalie points to her best friend, as Caroline goes "I know she's endured a lot, and I do want to be a part of your life. Just understand I hate that family." Elizabeth sighs "Well Grandma, I understand." Caroline tells her Great-Granddaughter "Now Elizabeth, call me Grandmother." Natalie tells Elizabeth to sit down, as she asks "So what have you decided?" Caroline gets curious, as Elizabeth answers "Dad said to wait." Caroline goes "You're pregnant aren't you?" Elizabeth quips "No shit, and there's three men I despise who's the Dad. One of which was a rape!" Natalie lights a cigarette, and hands one to her Great-Granddaughter, as Caroline snaps "She's pregnant! Are you mad!!" Elizabeth declines, and Natalie sarcastically goes "Well the baby's damned anyway. But we'll get our answers soon."

   At The Crown, Adam sits at the bar, as he survived the shooting, wearing a bulletproof vest underneath his clothes, but was knocked unconscious and suffered a concussion and works to regain his memory, as Bo walks up, and tells him "Here's the results Mr. Lord." Adam answers "Thank you. And you can call me Adam." Bo quips "Chief wants you to remember who shot you so he can lock them up." Adam looks at him silently, as Bo grows quiet, and slowly asks "You got rid of Danny.." Adam smiles, and says "True, and for who shot me, they will pay. And Elizabeth has a decision to make, and I'll get her closest people together over at Tom and Elsie's farm to discuss what to do. As well, I really wish I could remember who shot me." Bo answers "Well they were covered and all the security footage Chief got, we couldn't make out who it was." Adam tells him "Thank you, and I must now head off." Bo stops him, and says "Thank you for accepting Elizabeth. Most men who find out they have a long lost child doesn't embrace them as you have with Elizabeth." Adam goes "She's my Daughter, and she needs me, and I'm always going to look after her." Adam leaves, as Bo orders a drink and calls Robert, and says "Still can't remember." At the Sullivan Police Department, Robert says "I think we know who to watch. Natalie and Caroline's information's worth more than the jackpot." Bo laughs "Oh yes, there's about to be a war erupting I believe. Adam Lord isn't someone you want to tangle with." Robert laughs "Yes sir Bo! Ms. Natalie has told me everything."

    At the new headquarters for HallBro, in the Hall Enterprises headquarters, Paul sits inside Ed's former office, as Jeff walks inside, and Paul asks "Where's our CEO?" Jeff tells him "The Queen said he needed to rest to get his memory back of our announcement." Paul reflects, as he says "He saved us! Mama and I ducked down, I need to take it easy on him." Ricky arrives, as Paul asks his friend "How does it feel to be back in the office again?" Ricky laughs "A hell of a lot better than sitting around the house." Paul walks over, as he pours himself, Jeff, and Ricky a drink, as Paul toasts "To my Son, and HallBro!" Meanwhile in a new office building in Sullivan, Ed walks inside, as he tells the movers "Move my things into the big office, and put Janet's things in the office with the shared bathroom." Ed walks around and smiles, as he grins "Nothing stopping me from bringing down Lord or any of their asses."

    Meanwhile at Smallwood Farm, Tom and Storm sit outside and drink a beer, as Tom tells his Grandson "That was crazy what you did boy, but ya know she damn deserved.. on shit." Janet pulls into the driveway, and yells "Ok you inbreeds." Tom yells, as Storm walks inside "You divorced my Son you whore, and you done messed with the wrong son of a bitch!" Storm returns with a rifle, as Janet yells at her  now Former Father In Law and Son "Just like all of you, crazy! I am suing you Tom, you Storm, Elsie! Tom asks Storm "We can bury her in the field." Storm laughs "My connections will tear your ass apart bitch!" Janet throws some papers, as she gets into her car and leaves, and Tom tells his Grandson "That bonfire was amazing! Karen enjoyed it, hell even Natalie and Caroline came!" Storm quips "Well Adam's doing a lot, he's got me free, and now we are always good with Chief." Tom walks inside, as Storm gets into his SUV, and leaves.

     At Thayer's, Bess sits with her Aunts, as Ford arrives, and Ella and Anna greet him, as he tells Bess "I quit my job." Bess gasps, as does Ella and Anna, as Ella tells her Nephew "I thought you wanted to be a Professor." Ford goes "Ed made me.." Ella gets upset, as she walks away, and Anna yells at her Nephew "You sorry piece of shit!" Bess also adds to her Brother "You are a traitor." Anna tells her Niece "Exactly, and I will let Mama know and.." Ford goes "So what.." Ella returns, and warns boldly "My Mama and Aunt Caroline will team up on you, and we'll help them!" Ford laughs and walks away, as Bess goes "Bastard!" Ella tells them "I need to head home, Erica's about to arrive." Anna follows, as Bess returns to work. Meanwhile outside, Ford makes a phone call to Courtney, to no answer.

   Back at HallBro, Adam walks into his office, and looks at his portrait, as Paul walks inside, and Adam boldly asks "Who let you in here?" Paul goes "Lacey." Adam warns "Didn't Grandma say she wasn't allowed." Paul asks "When will you accept me Son.." Adam yells "Don't you ever call me that! You hurt my Mom! I hate you and you watch your ass because I have no trouble firing you! So I suggest for your job, get lost." Paul gets emotional and leaves, as Adam walks out, and tells Lacey "I think you are up to something. I know what Bo does, and you have asked some questionable things." Lacey asks "So you're doing Caroline's dirty work? Natalie told me I could stay." Adam warns "One mistake and you're gone. I'm watching you." Adam walks back inside his office, as Lacey returns to her tablet, and says to herself "I'm related you bastard." In Jeff's office, Paul walks in and asks "What in the hell is Adam's problem with me?" Paul cries, as Jeff consoles his Uncle, and says "Well its him, that's all I can say." Paul takes a deep breath, as he says "Trisha ruined everything."

   At Hall Manor, Natalie sits in the study, and reads HallBro's files, as she yawns, and opens the drawer and opens a bottle of whiskey and pours a drink, as Elizabeth takes a nap. Natalie's phone rings, as its Elsie, who sits inside the lobby at Park Lane Medical Center, and in a serious tone, says "Bring Elizabeth to the hospital. Hospice.." Elsie starts to cry, as Natalie hangs up, and goes into her bedroom and wakes Elizabeth, and says "We have to go meet Elsie. She'll tell you the rest." Elizabeth notices her tone, and they rush out. At Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie sits, as Fancy also sits next to her and says "Mama, Daddy and Ricky are on their way, so is Elizabeth, Aunt Natalie's coming with her." Elsie takes a deep breath, and goes "What about Adam?" Fancy shrugs, as Elsie sighs "He has enough going on still trying to remember who rang those shots." Fancy hugs her Mother, as she says with relief "Thank God Elizabeth found her real Dad, and Natalie is a part of her family." Fancy agrees as the doctor walks out, and says "We have to keep Karen here." Elsie starts to cry, as Fancy consoles her.

   At Ed and Ella's home, Ella arrives, as she asks "Who's here?" Erica Banks, Ed and Ella's Daughter walks out, and goes "Surprise!" Ella embraces her in a hug, and asks "Why did you scare me like that?" Erica quips "I got finished early from college, and Blake's hiring me for the news!" Ella goes "I'm the editor now for the Sullivan Journal, it and WSVN if we played the right hand." Erica asks her Mother "Are you plotting? Turning into Gram?" Ella goes "I think so, but being free of Ed is wonderful. I feel free. I know why my Mama is like she is now." Erica goes "About time!" At The Crown, Ed meets Jake and Stephanie, who has eloped, and Ed asks "So what about my half?" Jake snarls "Dad! We got more serious things to discuss than you and Mom's divorce, that she won, and your desire to hurt Adam."Ed take a drink, and goes "Like what Son? Your Mom shot me.." Jake tells his Wife "I can't.." Stephanie tells her Father In Law "You are an asshole Ed." as Ed sits by himself, as has a thought.

   At The Mansion, Caroline sits at a table, as a waitress goes "Mrs. Jennings isn't here." Caroline gets up, and goes "Ah I know where she is." Caroline hands the girl a hundred dollar bill and leaves. At Park Lane Medical Center, Tom has arrived, as Elsie and Fancy welcomes him, and Tom holds his Wife, as Fancy asks "Where's Storm at?" Tom answers "Out working I reckon." Elsie fills her Husband in, as he snarls "I hope wherever our sorry ass Son is, he gets killed." Elsie cries "I hate to feel this way but me too!" Natalie and Elizabeth arrive, as Elsie tells her "Sweetie, they are moving her to ICU." Elizabeth starts to cry, and tells her Great-Grandmother "Call Dad and tell him to come down here." Natalie walks away to call her Grandson, as Elsie tells her Granddaughter "She's so weak that the doctor said it can be any moment.." Elizabeth starts to cry, as Tom hugs her, as does Elsie and Fancy. Meanwhile Natalie returns, and says "He's on his way." At The Crown, Adam looks at Storm, and says "We need to head down to the hospital." Storm tells him "I'm going to The Flamingo." Adam goes "Slow down. You'll make your moves when I say to. I call the shots and don't try me." Storm laughs "Whatever you say boss!" They head to the hospital.

    At HallBro, Anna arrives, and greets Jeff with a hug, and asks her Son "Want to go have dinner with me? We can go over and visit Erica also." Jeff nods, as he says "Sounds good." In the lobby, Ford walks in, and Lacey looks at him, as Ford asks "Where's my Dad?" Lacey tells him "In his office. He's not feeling really upbeat, so don't start anything." Ford walks in, as Paul asks his Son "And what do you want Ford? I'm not in the mood.." Ford laughs "Well Dad, I quit my job, and me and Uncle Ed and Janet Morris have teamed up and created our own enterprise." Paul quips "Should've stayed at the University Son." Ford warns "Too good to be true, and you and Adam are going down for Mom!" Paul grows silent, as he has a thought. At The Crept Myrtle, Ed and Janet are at the bar, as Robert walks up, and asks Janet "Want to talk to the ol' Chief?" Ed tells Robert "Don't come down here and start back up with that shit with Adam?" Robert assures Ed "I saw you in that hospital bed. Lena and I still laugh over that. But your friend is a suspect. And if she's guilty, she'll be doing hard time in Unity." Janet gasps "Chief, how can you say I'm a suspect?" Robert orders a tea, and answers "You aren't the only one I'm watching." At The Mansion, Bo walks into his office upstairs, and says to himself, noticing some papers "Lacey's really serious about this." Bo picks up the papers, and reads, as his jaw drops..

 
 

   

 


 

Change Of Season: Episode 14. The Mighty Rises And Falls

     The next day has arrived in Sullivan, and at Hall Enterprises, Jeff warns security "Do not allow anyone not on the list in here. And Ed arrested." A member of security tells Jeff "You didn't hear?" Jeff asks "Hear what?" At Hall Manor, Elizabeth has awaken, to hear Natalie and Elsie in the kitchen, both laughing as Elsie asks "Now what use is he to Janet other than business?" Natalie sarcastically responds "Well he knew better than to press charges on my Daughter!" Elizabeth asks "What are the two of you laughing about?" Natalie asks "Well remember what Ed used to pay you for? Well he'll not be able to even pay now." Elsie quips "Ella got his ass." Elizabeth is silent for a moment, as she starts to join in the laughter, as Natalie excuses herself as a limo arrives, and tells Elizabeth "Feel free to hang around here. See you in a little while." Natalie heads to The Crept Myrtle, as Elsie asks her Granddaughter "So you survived I see?" Elizabeth, with awe in her eyes, tells her Grandmother "We connected so much. She told me some stories of the two of you growing up poor." Elsie nods, and goes "I had Brothers and she was the only girl I knew around me, and we are more like Sisters than anything." Elizabeth agrees, and asks "She brought up Mom last night, and wants her to live here? Me also.." Elsie gets quiet, as she tells her "Go get dressed up and let me think." Elizabeth walks out, as Elsie is silent, and a tear rolls down my eyes, and says to herself "Don't forget I'm your Grandma too Elizabeth.."

      At The Crept Myrtle, Adam sits in the bar, as Courtney sits next to him and quips "So starting early?" Adam nods, and goes "Today is going to be huge. And I have to.." Adam stops, as he tells Courtney "I need to go check up on some things for the press conference in the Magnolia Room. Adam walks off, as Courtney is quiet, and watches as she worries about him and calls her Mother, as the phone goes to voicemail. At Ed and Ella's Home, Anna and Scarlet has arrived, as Ella tells her Sister "So I was wondering when the two of you were going to pop up." Scarlet and Ella hug, as Anna goes "So listened to me and shot him where it hurts??" Ella quips "He said to me this was his house, and knew what was coming after, I did it!" Scarlet asks Ella "Does Ed have any plans to file charges?" Ella and Anna turn to her, as Anna goes "He'd be even dumber. A big announcement's coming, and the man's literally lost everything..EVERYTHING!" Scarlet is silent, as Ella asks "Want to go hang out? I'm visiting my attorney and then Erica arrives tonight." Anna and Scarlet nods, as Anna yells "Today is your freedom celebration sis!" Ella proudly goes "Hell yes it is! Now let's celebrate!"

    At Broward Inc. Paul sits in his office, and asks his Mother "So how will this all work?" Caroline simply tells her Son "We are moving into Hall Tower and this building will be for archives and such since its not as up to date." Paul then asks "What about Janet?" Caroline smiles "Son, you don't worry about Janet. I got my plan all laid out." At Ricky and Janet's home, Janet walks around the house, as she prepares to head to The Crept Myrtle, as she talks to Ed on the phone and Ed says "I'll be out of commission in one department, but not in the department of bringing down Lord and turning Hall and Broward into part of our master plan." Janet goes "Don't worry, and I'll make sure you are taken care of." Janet walks out the door, and locks it and heads to her car to drive off. Once Janet passes Smallwood Farm, Storm sees his Mother leave, and gets into his SUV.

    At The Village Inn, Robert and Marcus sits at a booth, as they discuss Ella and Ed, as Marcus tells his Brother "I liked her back in school. But you know how it was back then." Robert tells him "Things I hope are changing." Marcus asks "Speaking of change, how about you and Teddy? I've spoken to him since I returned and.." Robert goes "I don't discuss Teddy. I raised him better than to be a pimp, running a sleazy strip club in town." Marcus tells him "That has always been your problem, if they didn't meet your standard, you got all uppity." Robert goes "What you mean?" Marcus quips "I am your youngest Brother and you were furious when I dropped out of College to follow music." Robert rolls his eyes, and Marcus adds "But I finished College, and now work at Sullivan University. And help poor Lena keep you in step." Robert quips "Well little bro, good luck at that." Marcus heads to Sullivan University, as Robert heads to Park Lane Medical Center.

    Meanwhile at The Mansion, Tom arrives, as Fancy and her Father sits and has a drink, as she goes "Well where's Storm?" Tom quips "Wanted to hang around the farm. But it's alright. Karen's ok and I've not heard nothing out of Elizabeth except for Elsie saying Natalie has bonded with her." Fancy smiles and says "That's great. I always loved Aunt Natalie. I can imagine the conversation about Ed." Tom asks "Well what happened to Ed?" Fancy goes "Well let's say the boys lost the fight." Tom is quiet for a moment, and goes "Boys...oh. Damn! Did Natalie visit him?" Fancy tells him "No Daddy. Ella did it." Tom quips "That doesn't surprise me at all. I know for years James and Natalie discussed it." Fancy asks "So how's Storm handling everything?" Tom goes "Well he's been in town awhile. Adam Lord's freeing his name. He's himself." At Ricky and Janet's home, Storm opens the back door, as he begins to pour gasoline on the furniture inside the house, as metal music blares from his SUV.

    In the Magnolia Room, a private event room inside The Crept Myrtle, the media arrives, and Natalie has arrived as she tells Adam "So Elizabeth told me she's pregnant." Adam nods, as he adds "And sounds like Ella did my work on Ed." Natalie tells her Grandson "Don't forget Teddy King either," Adam turns to his Grandmother, as Caroline walks up along with Paul, as Natalie tells them "Jeff's making sure everything's ready in here so nobody like WSVN will bombard us with questions." Paul tells Adam "So I heard there'll be a new name, and I've been demoted. Who said you would be running the show?" Caroline warns her Son "Paul, Adam is best." Adam asks Paul "So moving down to Hall, or staying put? I'd prefer you stay put." Adam walks away, as Paul tells Natalie and Caroline "He has it in for me. This better not fail. He's out for blood." Natalie walks away, and Caroline tells him "The Hall and Broward legacies will be in great hands. Who else can call the Governor at anytime and on his personal phone?" Paul rolls his eyes, as Jeff informs his Cousin and Grandmother meantime at the stage "Everything's almost ready." Blake Clayton meanwhile walks up, as he asks Natalie "So care to answer any questions?" Natalie warns Blake "I have nothing for you. Getting my Daughter fired from WSVN I do not forgive. So with that, go sit down and I'll be watching the news, and counting my millions." Blake walks away, as Natalie looks towards Caroline, and Paul looks at his Son, as Adam glares at him with anger in his eyes as he walks up, and says "Don't speak during the announcement."

     Back at Hall Manor, Elizabeth and Elsie are in the kitchen, as Elizabeth tells her Grandmother "This place does feel like home, but I don't think Mom needs to move." Elsie agrees, as she goes "We will make sure she's taken care of. Storm will help her pain." Elizabeth nods, and goes "Yeah he can find anything you want. Or just take it." Elsie sighs "His damn Mama wanted an abortion, but Ricky told me, and I told her if she aborted him, I'd abort her with my shotgun." She gave birth, but I was his Mama. Karen is such a sweet person, and to be suffering like she is." Elizabeth coldly says "Wherever Danny went, I hope he stays, because I'll kill him when Mom dies." Elsie reminds her "I think you have nothing to worry about. He won't be able to find his way back here." At Smallwood Farm, Tom returns, as Ricky and Karen are inside the living room, and asks "Why is Storm over there at your house Ricky?" Ricky puts his hands up, and says "Whatever he's planning I am not involved." Tom laughs "Well he'll be alright. So you moved out I heard.." Ricky nods, as Karen quips "We know he goes by his own rules." Tom tells his Son,"Ricky, be thankful of Adam." Karen smiles "Adam and Storm have a lot in common. I am Adam's Ex Wife." Tom and Ricky are quiet, as Karen shares a story, and Tom laughs "Adam Lord is going to be running Sullivan before long. He took care of our problems, but thank Natalie for the extra info. Those two are possibly the most powerful people in this town now." Karen and Ricky both agree. At Janet and Ricky's Home, Storm stands in his parents bedroom, and has flashbacks, as he stands still, holding a can of gasoline, as he sees his Mother's photo, and puts the gas can down, and picks up his pistol and shoot the photo through her eyes, and begins to dose the bedroom with gasoline, as he cries with anger "Bitch you hurt me and Dad, now you're about to hurt. My life mission now."

      At Broward Inc, Janet arrives, as the doors are locked, and security arrive as she yells "Unlock the door so I can get to my office!" The securityman says "Call Ms. Broward." Janet's eyes turn red, as she gets a notification on her phone, as her eyes widen. At Park Lane Medical Center, Ed is in a hospital room, as he watches the TV, and the news interrupts programming." At Victory Hill, Scarlet, Anna, and Ella all drink wine and laugh, as Ella tells her Sister "This is fun. I've forgotten how to have fun I think." Anna quips "You've never knew how." Scarlet meanwhile glances at her TV, and goes "Natalie!" Anna and Ella turn their heads, as Anna goes "Well today will be one for the history books." Meanwhile at Jake's Law Firm, Jake gets a phone call, and heads out.

      Down at The Crept Myrtle, everyone has taken their seats in the Magnolia Room, and Natalie walks up to the microphone as Caroline stands next to her, as Adam sits behind his Grandmothers, and his Father, sits on the other side of the stage, as Jeff sits on the front row. Natalie begins to speak, as Adam looks towards the press, and Paul looks at Adam, with sadness in his eyes. Back at Hall Manor, Elizabeth and Elsie watches the TV. At Smallwood Farm, Tom, Ricky, and Karen also watch the TV, as Natalie says "Today the two biggest companies in Sullivan will be merging. In time making both of our dreams of the future more achievable and safe. Now I introduce officially the new CEO and the new boss of the new name we came up with called Hallbro. And here's our Grandson, Adam Lord." As Adam gets up, someone in the audience gets up, as they pull a pistol out, and three shots are fired!
 

   

   

 

   

 

 

Change Of Season: Episode 13. New Beginnings

    Evening has fallen upon Sullivan, and at Hall Enterprises, Adam is in his office, as Jeff sits across from his Cousin, as they discuss the meeting, and both get a text from Natalie, staying "Dinner tonight at my home. Invitation only!" Jeff asks Adam "What's the Queen planning?" Adam answers "I have no idea. I prefer to stay out of Mamaw's mind." At Hall Manor, Elsie walks into the den, and tells Natalie "Tom's going to bring Karen and Elizabeth and I'm going back home. I've done beaten the shit out of Janet, and some surprise from my Husband.." Natalie goes "Thank you for arranging this." Elsie goes "Since we're all going to be involved in Elizabeth's life, rather she grow close to you than Caroline." Natalie reminds her "But you know as soon as she meets her,.." Elsie quips "You'll have to find extra help because I'll kick her ass too." Elsie walks into the kitchen, as Natalie walks into the dining area, and has a thought and reads an earlier text.

    At The Mansion, in the kitchen upstairs, as Fancy, Bo, and Lacey has dinner, as Fancy tells her Husband and Daughter "Well Mama went to visit Janet today." Lacey asks "Did she kill her?" Bo quips "Ol' Elsie wants to." Fancy raises her hand, as she goes "And I want to help her too!" Fancy changes subjects as she asks "So have the two of you found a project?" Lacey tells her Mother "My first project is investigating Caroline Broward. I want to know all that old snooty bitch's skeletons." Bo is silent, as he tells his Wife "Well Fancy?" Fancy goes "Well sounds like good bonding time, and it'd be nice to have some dirt on her. Find anything good, make sure to tell my Mama!" Fancy heads downstairs, as she stops at the bottom of the stairway, and has a flashback, looking up the stairs.

     At Ed and Ella's Home, Jake and Stephanie sits inside the living room, as Ella tells her Son "Jake, the two of you don't have to stay. I'd rather it be me and your Dad." Stephanie is quiet, as she tells them "I'm going to see if I can pick up a shift." They kiss, and Jake gets up, as he tells his Mother "I'm staying put. Dad needs to know what he's losing. After my talk with him, we need to be united, and I mostly want to make sure you are ok." Ella smiles, as she touches Jake's face, and gently says "You are so much like my Daddy." Jake quips "You did name me after him Mom." Ella walks to the kitchen, and tells her Son "Tomorrow Erica's coming home, and staying with me." Jake gasps, as he goes "Erica! She said it'd be a cold day in hell before she came home." Ella quips "Divorce was the magic word and I'll be one happy Mama, both my kids in town, and that's what I need right now."

    Meanwhile at Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Caroline sits, as Paul and his Mother has takeout, and Caroline asks her Son "Are you really alright?" Paul goes "Mama. Last night Sarah said everything would be alright! And then today, learned Adam hates me." Caroline tells her Son "The deal is your Wife. It's time to divorce her, and vow to never go back." Paul goes "Mama it's too much! Ford hates all of us. Bess has always been Daddy's girl.." Caroline sternly says "Well soon the time will be where you and Adam has the chance to be around each other. But give him space Paul." Paul asks "Who was the "Dad"?" Caroline is silent, and goes "He owned a bar in the middle of nowhere. Total trash. He controlled Sarah and from what we learned, pure evil. Adam got the worst of it. And..." Paul goes"That man killed Sarah?" Caroline gets up, and says "I should head home." Paul walks his Mother to the door, and says "I am letting Ricky stay here after tomorrow, he's divorcing Janet and I'm gonna help him." Caroline smiles, and says "Make sure he's at work. He's rehired." Paul laughs "He knows." They hug, as Caroline heads home for the night, as Paul gets a text from Fancy, and looks at his keys.

     At Janet and Ricky's Home, Ricky stands in the living room, as Storm walks through the house, and tells his Father "Well now that Danny's off on vacation, and the bitch is on her way home, I can't wait to see her damn face! Got your keepsakes?" Ricky warns his Son "Now, your ass is ready to go back to jail again it seems!" Storm laughs "Dad. Mr. Lord has my back. I know that Janet's trying some backward shit with Ed Banks. He's Mr. Lord's project." Ricky looks around the house, and goes "Hell, this place isn't shit anyway. She owns everything. She's screwed around our entire marriage and wasn't even a Mama to you." Storm goes "I want her to suffer like I suffer. Bitch has asked for it, and a gift for Mamaw." Ricky quips "Well she did get her ass whooped by your Mamaw earlier.." Storm smiles, as Janet walks inside, and yells "Get the hell out of my house you thug!" Ricky yells "He's our Son bitch!" Storm adds "So here's the deal, Dad stays, and you get the hell out of here. You can go keep Eddie boy's bed warm at the Motor Lodge or something. But if not, then we play by my own rules you sorry ass excuse of a Mother." Janet goes "What are you going to do? I'll call Chief right now..." Ricky yells "Janet stop! We're done and either you stay or I stay. Hell what else do you want?" Janet snarls "I own this house." Storm walks outside, as Ricky looks at his Wife, and heads to the door, and says "Well tomorrow my lawyer will be contacting you then. Go to hell." Ricky heads out, as Storm asks "Well what did the bitch decide?" Ricky goes "Well off to Paul's apartment I guess.." Storm pulls out three gas cans, and goes "I'll be at Mamaw and Papaw's.", as Janet stands at the door, and Ricky heads to Paul's apartment, as Storm says "Since I'm next door, this will be simple."

     Meanwhile next door at Smallwood Farm, Tom and Elsie walks inside, as she tells him "It's quiet Tom. Have you turned into an old romantic fool?" Tom goes "See who got that card yonder on the table?" Elsie walks in there, as Tom checks his watch, and sees Storm pulling in, as Elsie goes "Ooo.." Tom tells his Wife "Come here woman." Elsie walks into the living room, as he covers her eyes, and knocks on the door, as Storm walks inside, and goes "Look." Elsie's eyes fill with tears, as does Storm's, as they embrace tightly, and says "Oh I have missed you. Please say you're staying.." Storm nods, as Elsie cries into Tom's arms of joy, as Tom tells his Wife "This boy has done us proud. He helped us with Danny." Elsie asks "Who helped you Storm?" Storm answers "My boss, Adam Lord. I do his work outside the office. His friend helped me get out of prison. Next I'll have a clean record again." Elsie looks at Tom, as she's amazed, and smiles "I have been around him, but he does seem to be a good man." Tom goes "I knew, but had to stay quiet. I just called him, and he was already in town." They walk into the kitchen, as Elsie asks "Did you hear about me whopping your Mama's sorry ass?" Storm and Tom both laugh, as Storm goes "She's about to get hers since I'm back in town."

     At Hall Manor, in the dining room, Natalie sits at one end of the table, as Adam sits at the other, and in the middle are Jeff, Karen, and Elizabeth, as they have dinner and Natalie tells Elizabeth "I never told Elsie you could never visit. She just comes over here to vent, but now you got my official permission. My only Great-Grandchild. And all these years never knew." Karen says "I considered telling you but was scared because of Danny. But Adam apparently has connections to some people." Natalie looks at her Grandson, as Jeff goes "Yeah. He is best friends with Xavier Jackson Sr. The new governor." Adam tells them "Xavier gave me a start and taught me a lot on how to make things happen. Most importantly, he said always take care of your family." Adam looks at Elizabeth, as Elizabeth asks her newfound Great-Grandmother "How are you planning to introduce me to the family? I'm sure Ella hates me." Natalie quips "Don't worry about her. She's finished with his ass I know." Karen watches on, as she feels peace, and as everyone finishes dinner, Natalie tells Jeff "Drive Karen home. I want Elizabeth to stay with me." Elizabeth is silent, with doubt in her eyes, as Adam tells Jeff "I'll drive her.." Natalie stops, and says "I want to speak to the two of you alone." Jeff takes Karen, as Natalie looks at her Grandson and Great-Granddaughter, and tells Elizabeth "I don't show my soft side in front of everybody. But between us, you are already my sweet girl. You do favor my Sarah." Elizabeth tells her Father and Great-Grandmother "I don't deserve the two of you being so kind to me. I'm pregnant and unsure who the Father is. I already hurt Ella.." Natalie hugs Elizabeth and goes gently "Shhh." motioning Adam to leave, as Adam returns to The Crept Myrtle, as Natalie goes "Elizabeth, tonight I want to let you in. And you let me in. My sweet girl." Elizabeth is overwhelmed by Natalie's kindness, she holds onto her Great-Grandmother, as Natalie looks up with a tear in her eye.

      At Paul and Trisha's apartment, Ricky has arrived, and Fancy has brought liquor, as Ricky tells them "Well I guess we're having a divorce party!" Fancy yells "Damn right!" Paul yells "I'm getting one too! And can't damn wait!" Ricky adds "And to boot, my Son is home!" Fancy tells her Brother "It's past due. Mama's gonna be so happy she won't be letting him far from her sight." Ricky quips "He also knows of the bitch and me.." Fancy laughs, as Paul asks "Elsie will really have help now!" Fancy takes a drink and goes "Oh hell, think I'm scared of Janet? I've tangled more than once with Caroline, and Janet! Mama and I have also teamed up before." Ricky sighs "Shit Fancy, I remember walking in with Janet pinned to the wall with the two of you holding her with a knife and Daddy's pistol." Paul yells "Damn!" Meanwhile at Ed and Ella's Home, Ella looks in the living room, as she tells the movers "I don't want those things in here. He doesn't live here." Ed arrives, as he looks at his Wife, and Ella tells her Husband "Tell those movers to go to storage. And I want you to follow."

    Back at The Mansion, Bo has called it a night, as Lacey does research on Caroline, and clicks on "Forrest Broward". She opens the file, and her eyes widen. At Smallwood Farm, Elsie tells Tom and Storm "Tomorrow night we'll have a big dinner and celebrate Storm being back where he belongs!" Tom reminds his Wife "And make sure you invite that Adam Lord. Maybe even ol' Natalie." Elsie quips "She rarely leaves her Manor Tom, its good when she's at home." Storm quips "Mr. Lord's told me about her. I never would have thought she was as cold as me." Elsie reminds her Grandson "James kept her in line. Since he died, she's now showing her true self. I've known it for years. She and I were both poor, and she met James Hall, and I met.. well him." Tom is taken back and snaps "Elsie what the hell do you mean?" Elsie smiles and says "Oh shut up asshole! It's time for us to fuss and let Storm rest." Elsie hugs her Grandson as she and Tom heads to the bedroom, as she goes "I'm going to wear you out.", as Storm walks outside, and lights a blunt, looking across the field at Ricky and Janet's home intently.

   As night has fallen, at Hall Manor, Elizabeth and Natalie sits inside the den, as Elizabeth is in awe, as Natalie laughs, as she takes a drag from a cigarette "Who needs cable when I have cameras in my children's homes." Elizabeth sits back, as Natalie begins to share stores of Sarah, and her family. At Smallwood Farm, Jeff sits in his car, as he gets a text from his Mother, as Karen's safely inside for the night, as he quips "Aunt Scarlet's home." At The Crept Myrtle, Adam and Courtney bumps into each other, as Courtney smiles "We meet again." Adam asks Courtney "Care to join me for a drink in my suite upstairs, away from everyone?" Courtney tells him "I'd love to.", as she crushes on him, and he also breaks a smile, as they get on the elevator. At Jake's Loft, Jake lays in bed with his fiancee, as Stephanie asks "How's your Mom?" Jake rolls over to look at the phone, and says "Silent." Jake turns over, and kisses Stephanie, as they continue making love. At Ricky and Janet's Home, Janet walks around the house and has some thoughts, and calls Ed, to no answer. Janet then says to herself "Soon I'll be the most powerful person in Sullivan!" At Ed and Ella's Home, Ella gets angry, as Ed pleads "Look Ella I thought you'd forgive me for.." Ella yells "That damn phone's been ringing and ringing since you've been whining and begging me to take you back when I already told you the answer!" Ed tells his Wife "I'm not leaving my house." Ella looks at her Husband for a moment, from up to down, and says to him "You know Ed, you really think you are a man don't you? I mean you are so demanding, can turn on the women..." Ella pulls a pistol from her robe, and aims at her Husband, and shoots.

   

Change Of Season: Episode 12. The Path To Battle

     At Hall Manor, Natalie shows Adam, Jeff, Caroline, Paul, and Elsie footage, as they all are silent, and Elsie angrily storms out in a fury, as Natalie goes "Oh shit.." Adam meanwhile tells everyone in the dining room "I think what we've determined will be best and will work in our favor." All agree, as they conclude the meeting, and Adam begins to head out when Paul stops, and asks his Son "Can we try to have something between us? I always.." Adam leaves, as Caroline asks her Son "Cold shoulder Paul?" Paul nods, and says "Damn Trisha ruined me. I wish I'd seen it sooner." Caroline tells her Son "I warned you.." Paul rolls his eyes. Meanwhile Natalie walks over to her Grandson and tells him "We're having a press conference at The Crept Myrtle tomorrow. Jeff nods, and makes some phone calls while Caroline asks Natalie "What will it take for Adam to accept Paul?" Natalie answers "To him, Paul is a stranger, and my unfortunately breathing Daughter ruined it!" Caroline smiles "At least he warmed to me. But he's brilliant." Both agree. Meanwhile at Hall Enterprises, Ed and Janet put back on their clothes, and Janet heads back to Broward Inc, as Ed gets a text, and also leaves.


    Downstairs at The Crown, Ella sits at the bar, as Anna sits next to her Sister, as Ella sends a text, and Anna spots Janet walking out of the elevator, and points on her Sister's shoulder, and goes "Let's see if he follows." Ed comes off the elevator, and Ella's eyes fill with tears, and shakes her head with doubt, and tells Anna "Not with people around." Anna leaves some money, and tells Ella "Ok, we're off to your house and I'm going to help you. Time the son of a bitch knows he's lost you." They head out. As they head outside, Anna's phone rings, as she smiles, and goes "Ahh Scarlet's back!" Ella looks at her Sister, as they await their cars, and Anna answers, as Scarlet, sitting in the living room of her home, called "Victory Hill", from its past, tells her childhood best friend "I am back in Sullivan and before Mason comes home from Europe, want to stop by and have some drinks and tell dirty stories?" Anna has the phone on speaker, as Ella listens, and yells "Not now!" Scarlet asks "Ella Hall?" Ella goes "Hello to you Scarlet. Bad time." Anna tells her friend "I'll text you." and hangs up, as Ella asks "Anna shouldn't you call.." Anna looks at her Sister, and says "You need me more.", as they head to Ed and Ella's Home. Back at Victory Hill, Scarlet quietly walks around, as she looks onto a patch of trees, and smiles "Paradise. So good to be home, as her cat, Stevie runs and jumps in her arms, as she pets him and laughs "You'll meet your sissy soon."

 
      At Sullivan University, in the food hall, Courtney sits with Marcus Carver, Professor of music at the University, as he asks "So Scarlet came in and didn't stop to see me?" Courtney laughs "She might not know you moved back yourself." Marcus sighs "I enjoyed my days living wild and free. Married, family of three. Then divorce and the funk dies on the radio so listened to the Chief. Always have a backup plan." A page goes for Marcus, as he walks off, and Courtney finishes her meal before returning to class, as Ford approaches her, and asks "So now you're talking to an old man?" Courtney asks boldly "Are you watching me?" Ford shrugs "Just happened to be getting a meal like any other staff." Courtney warns Ford "You are turning into a creep since you know I'm friends with Adam, and just stay away from me." Ford responds "You are making a mistake." Courtney quips "Well I just fixed it." as she leaves and Ford makes a phone call, asking "Mom are you safe?" On the Interstate, heading west, Trisha tells her Son "I am fine. Just fine.", as they hang up and Ford also returns to his room. On the Interstate, Trisha drives, as she thinks of her past, and looks over at her purse.

    Meanwhile at Park Lane Medical Center, Tom and Elizabeth's waiting to see a Doctor, as Elizabeth tells him "Grandpa stay out here." Tom nods, as he grumbles "I'm not into that kinda shit anyway. May go see if I can score Karen some free medicine." Elizabeth looks at him, as Wylene passes by, and Elizabeth stops, and asks "You work here?" Wylene answers "Why yes I do. I head up the mental health division of Park Lane. My day job. You ok?" Tom goes "She needs to see a doctor." Wylene tells Elizabeth "I'll take you along with me and get it seen about." Tom gets up, as Wylene tells him "Only ladies." Tom walks away, and makes a phone call, as Ricky answers, as he's headed back home and tells his Father "Are you having Danny killed? Who.." Tom tells his Son "Ricky, Elsie would kill me if I did that. But at least you know Storm's home, and sticking around hopefully." They hang up, as Tom is silent and thinks of Danny, as anger grows in his eyes. At The Warehouse, Storm sits across from Danny, as he's allowed to talk, and Storm's pulled up the blindfold and goes "Nah. You showed me your idea on family when I went to jail for you. You have screwed over a LOT of people. Remember your biological Daughter, Paige?" Danny tells his Nephew "I have to be there for Karen and Elizabeth?" Storm gets a text, and says to his Uncle "Elizabeth knows now, and oh.. you won't be leaving here and going home. That's a promise, holding his rifle, and laughing "Can't wait to use it."

    At Hall Manor, Natalie sits in her den, as Caroline asks her "So do you think I can consider Elsie a friend now?" Natalie takes a drag from her cigarette, and quips "No Caroline, she's going to do something, but for you, never." Caroline sighs "I need to leave and prepare for possible changes and think some things over." Caroline returns home, as Natalie gets a text from Jeff, as he tells her "It's empty down here. Adam's working abroad." Natalie texts back "That's ok. Now be a good boy and if you see Ed, don't say a word." At Smallwood Farm, Adam returns, as Karen sits next to him in the living room and share memories as Adam goes "Since you and I met again and I know about Elizabeth, all I think about is her. I am a Daddy!" Karen tells him "You'd been much better than Danny was. And he had a marriage prior to me and has a daughter that nobody hears from much." Adam asks "So why did Mr. Smallwood take her down to the hospital?" Karen goes "She's pregnant Adam." Adam's eyes turn red, as Karen warns "Look, I know something weird's going on, and I got enough going on facing death in the face.." Adam holds her hand, and says "Elizabeth is safe, and you are too now. Your last days will be of something you and my little girl needs, peace." Adam gets up, and walks out, as Karen looks on, and cries. Adam gets into his SUV, and sends a text, and heads to The Warehouse.


    At The Mansion, Paul arrives, and Fancy waits the bar, as she asks Paul "So what's wrong?" Paul goes "The hardest drink on the bar. I need it." Paul gets emotional, as Fancy asks "Did your Mama or that bitch Janet fire you from Broward?" Paul answers "No Fancy, I met my Son Adam. My Son with Sarah." Fancy gasps, as she asks "How did the meeting go because my Mama sent me a text about being able to join." Paul takes a drink, and says "Maybe you should check in." At Broward Inc, Elsie walks around Janet's office, as she takes a drink of straight vodka, and is silent, as the door opens and Janet goes "What in the hell are you doing here Elsie? I told you and yours to never visit." Elsie walks up to her Daughter in law, and takes another drink from the vodka bottle, as she asks in a calm, but furious tone "Whore remember what I told you last time you hurt my boys?" Janet, in a snobby tone goes "I don't listen to you. You and Tom were horrible role models for parents, grandparents.." Elsie yells "You aren't no damn Mama! You are a whore! A sorry ass WHORE!" Elsie jumps her Daughter In Law, as a brawl begins to break out, as Elsie has her hands locked on Janet's throat, as she yells "Think I'm gonna allow you to hurt my baby screwing Ed Banks? And then the way you treated my Son?" Janet pushes her Mother In Law off of her, and snarls "I never wanted to carry your  family's offspring. Wasn't for Ricky whining and the fact I wasn't where I was, I'd aborted him!" Elsie pulls out her knife, and walks up to Janet, and tells her "You're getting yours whore. And I raised Storm! You were to busy kissing Caroline's ass! Don't let me hear or see you screwing around or it'll be the last!" Elsie storms out, as Janet sees blood, and makes a phone call, to no answer.

    At Thayer's, Ed meets with his Son, as Jake looks at his Father, and tells him "Well I guess you fell for the bait huh?" Ed asks "What? I thought we were going to talk about helping me out of this mess." Jake goes in a disgusted tone "Dad, Mom is hurting right now and you want my help? Do you realize Mom is finished now." Ed asks his Son "Well how about you?" Jake goes "If you want me to support you and feel sorry, forget that! If we were in the middle of nowhere I'd beat the shit out of you." Ed goes "Will you make sure Ella's ok? I'm.." Jake is silent, as he checks his clock, and tells his Father "I have to return to work, and not wasting my time. Dad, you did this." Jake leaves, as Ed sits and says to himself "It's time to make the move." Ed calls Janet, as she sits in her office, recovering from her brawl with Elsie, as she snarls "Well they all know now Ed.." Ed asks "So?" Janet, coldly responds "Time to do us, and do them into bankruptcy. Smallwood Town Center sounds catchy." Ed laughs, as they plot over the phone, as he takes a drink. Meanwhile at Hall Enterprises, Jeff gets a text from Adam, and tells an employee in Ed's office "Make sure to call the movers and the correct date."

   Back at Park Lane Medical Center, Wylene walks into her office, as Elizabeth sits inside and says "Tom's left. I'll drive you back." Elizabeth sighs "So what's your thoughts?" Wylene, holding her charts, asks "About the baby? Or Adam Lord?" Elizabeth goes "Are you saying.." Wylene, nods and says "You will be a Mother soon. And for Adam, I was impressed with him though he spoke to Karen. He's not about nonsense. All business. He and you will find common ground, and you'll have my free services." Elizabeth, is shock, tells her "All these years, and now I am a Hall, and a Broward! I know how.." Wylene goes "Now stop! If Natalie and Caroline are as happy and welcoming to Adam, they will with you, though warning Ms. Natalie is also anti-social." Elizabeth laughs "That's why Grandma says I could never go over to help to get out of there." Wylene tells her "Sweetie it'll be ok. But think hard about this baby." At Smallwood Farm, Tom returns, as he yells "Oh Shit. She's going to jail!", in a panic, as Karen asks "Who?" Tom goes "She just called and said she's going back to work and Janet's screwing Ed Banks." Karen rolls her eyes, and grows faint, as Tom catches her, and helps her to the couch, as he tells her "Rest. I'll be right back." Tom walks to the kitchen and calls Storm, and gets no answer. Tom then calls Ricky, to no answer. Tom is silent, as he goes "Storm got it handled."

    At Victory Hill, Courtney arrives. Scarlet greets her Daughter, and  Courtney's in awe, and goes "I see you got your southern dream house Mom." Scarlet nods with happiness, but then asks "I thought you still had to work?" Courtney tells her Mother "Marcus Carver's handling things." Scarlet smiles "Well that Marcus is a great man. He and Robert's always had a rivalry, but it was age. Marcus was another free spirit from this town, but back to you, what's wrong?" Courtney asks "Why is that?" Scarlet answers "Mothers know." Scarlet leads Courtney into the living room, as they sit and Courtney tells her of Ford, as Scarlet asks "And what about the mystery?" Courtney answers "I don't know my answer." Scarlet looks at Courtney, and says "I think you're falling for the mystery man." Courtney blushes.


   At Ed and Ella's Home, Ella grows annoyed, as Anna tells her Sister "We're going to take on his ass if he shows up!" Ella asks "Anna can you shut the hell up? It's not that easy." At Hall Manor, Natalie sits in the den, as she smokes a cigarette and watches security footage, as Elsie returns, and Natalie asks "Went to visit Janet?" Elsie nods, as she heads to the kitchen and grabs a beer. At The Mansion, Paul and Fancy talk, as she sits down next to him at the bar, and both have a drink. At The Broward Mansion, Caroline sits inside, as she hangs up the phone and a smile of mischief comes across her face. Meanwhile at The Warehouse, Adam arrives, as Danny yells "Son of a bitch you need to let me go! I will kill your worthless ass!!" Adam asks Storm "Did it come?" Storm nods, as Adam tells Danny in a calm tone, holding his pistol "Elizabeth is pregnant.." Danny yells "I swear that baby is Ed Banks' child!" Adam responds "Maybe. It could be Teddy King's, or... yours." Adam asks Danny "Ever been on a train ride?" Three men walk inside, as Adam tells Danny "Karen and Elizabeth are finished with you. And enjoy your trip. If you return, your ass is dead. You'll enjoy it where you're going." A bag is thrown over Danny's chair, as Adam and Storm watches, and Danny's put into a large crate and carried out of the warehouse, as Storm asks Adam "What's next?" Adam asks Storm "Want to live? Don't ask questions."
