It's the next day in Sullivan, and at Hall Manor, Elsie cooks breakfast, as she's on the phone with her Husband, as Tom tells his Wife "Everything is fine. Karen's resting. That deputy's still here and Elizabeth's alright." Elsie tells him "Look after them and I'll fill you in if Natalie allows me to sit in the dining room.", and hangs up. In the den, Natalie reads her tablet, as Jeff walks in and gives his Grandmother a kiss on the forehead, and asks "How's the headache?" Natalie goes "I don't know Jeff. But let's not talk about last night." Jeff asks Natalie, as she reads her tablet "So what's going on today Queen?" Natalie looks at Jeff with a serious look, and sighs "Jeff, my sweet boy, you will find out once everyone arrives." Jeff gets frustrated, and goes "Tell me! Queen, I want to know what you are planning and I deserve to know." Natalie kisses him on top of his head, and whispers "Now the Queen has spoken my son. Now I must go see Elsie.", in a sarcastic tone, as she heads to the kitchen, and Jeff sends a text to his Mother, and Anna replies "Leave the decisions to her. She's on a warpath and this is exactly why she is not a so called people person. Her entire Martin family was that way, and Mama's a different person. She's liberated. So baby watch out." Jeff takes a deep breath, and says out loud "Maybe I should take up whiskey too.."
At The Crept Myrtle, Adam sits at a table, as he is on the other line, and says "I called someone who is a pro in this, and my best friend and old boss. But only you go down there and see the son of a bitch. Don't forget what I told you." Adam hangs up, as Courtney walks by, and smiles "Good morning Adam. I thought we'd see each other last night." Adam looks at Courtney, and sighs "I had some things to do being new to Sullivan, and anything I said the other night I don't remember from all those drinks." Adam laughs with a happy tone, as he shocks himself, as he quips "Damn that's was a fun night." Adam and Courtney stare into each other's eyes, as Adam asks in a seductive tone "Did I tell any secrets Professor?" Courtney goes in a flirtatious tone "About Elizabeth." Adam gets serious again, and tells her "Well keep it to you." Courtney grabs his hands, as their eyes meet again, and silence is between them, staring into each other's souls, as she softly says "I will always stand by you. And you have my word." Adam's alarm goes off on his clock, and says "Off to Mamaw's!" Courtney asks "Will I see you again today?" Adam winks, and says "Maybe." Adam heads to Hall Manor, as Courtney watches him leave, crushing on him, and heads to Sullivan University.
At The Village Inn, Caroline, Paul, and Bess has breakfast, as Bess asks her Father and Grandmother "So tell me what Gram has in mind." Caroline reminds her "My dear, I cannot say." Paul nods, and adds "Today though I meet Adam and we will see if he's really my Son." Caroline smiles with joy, as she gushes "Ah it's been a long time coming. But today is serious as well." Bess tells them "Well fill me in on that part.." Caroline asks "Can you stop please? I have not finished this cup of coffee dear." Ford arrives, and goes in a tone of anger "I hope you all can live with yourselves. Especially you old woman and Dad!" Caroline gets up immediately, and delivers a powerful slap across her Grandson's face, and sternly warns "Don't you ever take that tone with me. I don't give a damn how old you are. You respect us elders!" Paul asks "What's going on Son?" Bess also gets concerned, as Ford yells "Mom has left town! All because of that bitch of a Mother she has!" Caroline warns "Talk about my best friend again boy and I'll tear your ass up in this restaurant. Professor or not!" Paul walks away, as Ford yells "Coward!" Bess defends her Father, along with Caroline, as Bess tells her Brother "Cut him some slack. We get it! You hate Adam! Mom left town! Its for the best Ford!" Caroline adds "I hope her ass doesn't come back!" Ford tells his Grandmother and Sister "I'm done. Like screw all of you. And tell Gram the same thing!" Ford storms out, as he sees his Father, and goes "Don't call me Son. Screw you Dad." Paul warns his Son in a serious tone "Ever show your ass again like this, I'll kick it for you. Understand?" Ford heads to Sullivan University, as Paul returns to the table, as Bess tells her Father and Grandmother "Guess time to work? All nod, and hug as Bess heads to Thayer's, and Caroline and Paul heads to Hall Manor.
Meanwhile at The Mansion, Janet and Ricky sits at the bar, as Janet nags at her Husband "So what's wrong? Not getting your way?" Ricky yells "Your ass didn't come home last night you bitch! I bet you were off whoring as you like to do." Fancy runs downstairs, and warns Janet "Watch it.." Janet gets up, as she tells her Sister In Law "You stay out of it." Fancy walks up to her Sister In Law and snaps back "My restaurant. My damn house. And the family hates you already. But I'm about tired of the way you treat my Brother, and..." Janet laughs "Call that drunk you call Mommy?" Fancy punches Janet in the face, as Ricky breaks up the fight, as Bo and Lacey walks downstairs, as Bo asks "Kinda early for a fight." Janet storms out, flipping her Husband and Sister In Law off, as Ricky tells his Sister "If I can get back to working again, I'll be able to pay for the divorce." Fancy looks at her Husband, as Bo heads upstairs, as Fancy hugs him, and says "We got you covered. And time for Mama.." Ricky rolls his eyes and goes "She will tear her up." Fancy laughs "Perfect for her snooty ass!"
At Hall Enterprises, Ed sits in his office, as Ella walks inside, and Ella goes "I know." Ed goes "Know what?" Ella calmly says "Mama and Daddy was right about you. All these years I risked losing a relationship with my Mama because I had faith in you. My Husband, my soulmate." Ed tells his wife looking her in the face "Ella I had to work late..." Ella screams "YOU LYING BASTARD!" Ella yells "Mama showed me the damn footage Ed!" Ed is speechless, as Ella goes "Busted you sorry piece of shit." Ed warns "We made vows to always stay together you know?" Ella sees a photo of them on a shelf, and throws it at him, and with hurt in her voice, and pain, goes"Ed Banks, I am done. I am done with you.." Ed pleads "Ella, we worked it out before.." Ella walks out and stops and has a thought, as Ed is silent, with dread in his eyes, as he gets a text from Janet.
Back at Hall Manor, Natalie inspects the dining room, as Elsie has a beer and asks "So can I stay?" Natalie looks at Elsie silently, and goes "Normally no, but yes." Jeff walks inside, along with Caroline and Paul, as Caroline and Natalie tells them "Let's all sit at the table and enjoy this." Caroline glares at Elsie, as Elsie glares back, and Natalie looks at both of them, as Natalie tells them "Adam will be here shortly." At Smallwood Farm, there's a knock at the door, and Jordan answers and asks "Who are you?" Karen walks in the living room and yells for Elizabeth, as Adam is silent, and Karen assures Jordan "He's safe. Trust me." Elizabeth walks out of her bedroom and asks her Mother "Who is he?" Karen holds her, and says to her Daughter "Your biological Father." Adam is silent, with tears in his eyes, as Elizabeth studies him, and goes "It really is real." Adam says "This is the day I've longed to.. to meet my little girl. Now a young lady. It's ok if you don't..." Elizabeth runs to Adam's arms, feeling the same, as she cries, and he says "Daddy's here babygirl. You are safe I promise!" Karen and Jordan watches on, and both start to cry as well. Meanwhile at The Warehouse, Danny is walked back to the chair, and Storm ties him up, as he warns his Uncle "Mr. Lord told me one wrong move to shoot you dead." Danny sits down and listens, as he asks "Remember our adventures..." Storms laughs "Sorry, when you turned me in, you lost my ass!" Danny asks "If I apologize.." Danny's retied, hands and legs tied, as he yells "Daddy!" Tom looks at his Son, as he hugs his Grandson, and smiles "Welcome home boy!" Storm cries "Missed ya Papaw." Danny yells "Daddy help me! Get me the hell out of this or I'll destroy all of you!" Tom looks at his Son, takes a deep breath, and goes "You hurt Elizabeth, Karen, Me and your Mama, my family. You're now too far gone. Consider this my option to keep your sorry ass alive."
At Sullivan University, Courtney walks inside her classroom and yells "MOM!!!" Scarlet Cooke, retired model and former native of Sullivan greets her Daughter, laughing "May've lived up North, but never lost the accent!" Courtney, in an excited tone asks "Lived?" They hug again, and Scarlet smiles "Yes honey. Mason and I are back home. Although he and your Aunt Pat are traveling right now. You know Mason and his music." Courtney asks her Mother "So what are you planning to do since you're here?" Scarlet goes "Ahh meet some old girlfriends, and open an animal shelter." Courtney tells her "So glad you are home." Scarlet goes "I wish Mason was here, but...." Scarlet leaves, and says to her Daughter "I'll send you a text to the new house we bought." Scarlet leaves, as Ford walks inside, and goes "Who was that? Damn she was hot!" Courtney slaps Ford in the mouth, and snarls "That's my Mom! And you disgust me!" Ford asks Courtney "So what does Adam have I don't?" Courtney bluntly says "He's a gentleman. You are a normal young sex crazed control freak I don't want to be involved with!" Ford reminds her "We will be working here together. I'm across the hall!" Courtney warns "Well best not cross it or I'll call my Daddy." Ford laughs "You sound little girl." Ford walks out, as Courtney yells "Know Adam's number Ford? I do now.." Ford storms out to his classroom with anger in his eyes.
At Broward Inc, Janet finds the main office empty, and walks to her office to call Ed. At Hall Enterprises, Ella yells at her Husband while the phone rings "Is it Janet Morris! That whore! No.. the hooker from The Flamingo?" Ed turns off the phone, as Ella heads to the door, and asks Ed "Who's staying where?" Ed snaps "I guess you can catch up with that crazy Mama you have?" Ella smiles "No Ed. You will be leaving. So don't worry about coming back. I'll call my lawyer when I return home. And to think my world revolved around you." Ella walks out, as Ed gets emotional for a moment, and picks up the picture, then goes back to his desk, and calls Janet, as she answers from her office at Broward Inc, and says "My end is done. But I love her... "Janet goes in a selfish tone "But Ed, we can build a dynasty." Ed is silent, pondering the thought heavily. Ella meanwhile gets off at the bottom of Hall Tower, and makes a phone call, saying "Well sweetie, it's going to happen." with tears in her eyes.
As afternoon draws, at Smallwood Farm, Karen and Elizabeth sits in the living room, as Tom returns, and tells them "I brought home some food for y'all, stopping by a restaurant in Sullivan called "Annie's Fried Chicken", and Elizabeth feels sick again, as she runs off, as Jordan asks "Is she pregnant." Karen looks at her Father In Law, as Tom looks at Jordan, and goes "Let's not go there or I'll deal with Danny without y'all and the Chief." At The Mansion, Bo's in his office upstairs, and is reading some files, as Lacey walks up and says "Restaurants isn't in my blood Dad." Bo tells his Daughter "Well want me to teach ya some things about being a Private Detective?" Lacey is intrigued, and asks "Can I investigate Caroline Broward?" Bo laughs "Honey whoever you want. I'll show ya how." Lacey takes a seat next to her Father, as he turns on his computer. Downstairs, Fancy stands at Robert and Lena's table, as Robert asks Fancy "Please tell my Wife I need to be looking for your Brother and keeping watch on y'all's homeplace." Lena goes "We done discussed it, and I won because I bought this breakfast." Robert asks "How did you.." Lena laughs "Well there was some slot machines on that vacation!" Fancy laughs "I love y'all. The two of you are some of my favorite people." Lena holds Fancy's hand, and smiles "And when you were in 3rd Grade, I was your teacher. And you've made me proud." Fancy shrugs "Well, I haven't exactly done perfect." Lena laughs "Your life is a success, and having a family who adore you. You have that, so you have made it girl."
At Hall Manor, Adam arrives, as Caroline and Paul are silent, and Caroline wipes the tears from her eyes, as she opens her arms to him, and says "Welcome to the family Adam." Natalie, Jeff, and Elsie watch on, as Adam tells his other Grandmother, "You are stunning." Natalie coughs, as he goes "Both of you." Paul tells Adam "Welcome home Son.." Adam stops him, and coldly answers "This is a business meeting, and I met.." Caroline goes "Call me Grandma." Adam looks at his Father and says "I have no use for you. My Mother died broken because of you and enough of the damn past!" Natalie motions everyone into the dining room, as the meeting begins. At The Crown, Ella sits as Anna arrives, and Ella cries "You were right! My heart.. it's broken." Anna hugs her Sister tightly, and goes "We're Sisters, and we'll get through this." At Hall Enterprises, Ed sits in his office, as the door opens, as Janet goes "Surprise!" Ed asks "Why are you in a bathrobe?" Janet drops the robe, as she and Ed begin to kiss, and Janet goes "I have to get your mind off of that old bitch." Meanwhile downstairs at The Crown, Anna asks her Sister "Let's go upstairs and beat his ass! Better yet, go fix him." Ella stares, and says "Fix?" Anna adamantly goes "Yes Sis! Neuter his ass." At Smallwood Farm, Karen sleeps, as Jordan sits outside. Elizabeth sits in the kitchen, and asks Tom "Though I'm not related to you, do you now disown me?" Tom looks at her, and gently says "Elsie and I raised you and protected you and your Mama the best we could, you'll always be one of us. At the Warehouse, Storm sits in the old office, as he smokes a blunt and watches Danny, as Ricky arrives and Storm and his Dad embrace, as Ricky says to his Son "Thank God!' Storm responds "No Dad, thank Adam Lord." Ricky looks out as Storm says "That's Danny." Ricky responds "He deserves this!"
