Change Of Season: Episode 9. The Divide And Destroy: Part 1 of 2

        Trisha's information to WSVN has taken over the local media as afternoon turns into early evening in Sullivan. At Hall Manor, Natalie paces, as she makes a phone call, and gets Ella's voicemail, and saying "Don't bitch me out next time you don't reach me Oldest Daughter!" At Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Trisha's phone is turned off, as it's blown up with calls as she says to herself in a dark tone "You wanted this old woman, well here we go." At The Village Inn, Anna has dinner, as a reporter comes towards her, and warns "One question and I'll end your career. My family name still holds value!" At The Crown, Caroline arrives, as Ricky greets her with a hug, and Caroline goes "Ah, the best of the Smallwoods. Glad you waited." Paul asks his Mother "I assume this has to do with Trisha and her going to the press?" Caroline tells her Son "At first this was just a check up call on her, and if she was boozed, she got what she deserved. But there's more. You're right Son." Ricky sits back, and goes "Mrs. Broward admits she's wrong about something.." Caroline continues "Natalie informed me a coup was in play between Ed and Janet." Ricky goes "She's wanted the company for years, but now with this shit coming up, and the new guy in town, then this." Paul looks at his Mother, and goes "What do you think?" Caroline tells Ricky "Time for my Son and I to speak privately. Please excuse us. Good seeing you." Ricky leaves as Caroline and her Son discuss strategy.

    At WSVN, Ella storms into Blake Clayton's office, as Blake smiles and gushes "Ahh if it isn't our senior news lady with a comeback in my.." Ella slaps him, and yells loudly "The only damn reason you would listen to my damn Sister is my family, me, ratings, and all important money!" Blake laughs "Yeah Ella, sometimes it's smart to know how to keep your mouth shut and listen to the owner. How do you think I went from mere co-anchor with you, to ownership?" Ella answers "Kissing ass. But I demand you take this down or else?" Blake asks "Well what do you have in mind. I remember your past problems with Ed. Why Erica left town.." Ella warns him "I am going to show you something Blake. And no it isn't ownership, your Dad died and left this to you. So we're not as crazy and out of it as you think." Ella leaves, as Blake has a laugh. At Hall Manor, Elsie runs inside, as she yells "Natalie? Where are you? I ran over as fast as I.." Elsie looks in James' former library, and a drunken Natalie looks at Elsie, and goes "The bitch is going to go to hell today Elsie. This tears it!" Elsie warns "Now you know what'll happen.." Natalie asks "Well then Elsie, what other answer do I have?" Elsie is quiet for a second, and asks "Remember your idea for a trip?" Natalie goes "Not with all going on right now." Natalie says something to Elsie, and Elsie asks in a serious tone "Are you sure? I'm starting to think.." Natalie quips "Well I'll write that one down and save it for after the fireworks?" Elsie asks "What the hell you mean fireworks Natalie?" Natalie slurs "Independence Day's come early and time to show her the bastard James and I know.", as Elsie takes a deep breath, as Natalie pours another glass of whiskey.

     At Smallwood Farm, Robert walks outside, as female deputy, Jordan Clark, arrives as she asks "Any sign of Danny?" Robert shakes his head, and orders "Do not let Elizabeth go! Keep her here, same for ol' Tom in there." But you keep your eyes open. I may escape to have my dinner." Jordan goes "Chief it's alright.." Robert answers "Hell no it isn't! This is going to get ugly." At the Crept Myrtle, Adam sits at a table, as Karen walks inside, and goes "Russell Travis.." Adam tells her "He's dead now. I am now Adam Lord and moved on, except for you leaving me like you did." Karen sighs "Well I made a mistake umm.." Adam goes "Call me Adam. Its my name now." Karen adds "Your Daughter is beautiful, and sadly Danny's been a nightmare... And Adam, I won't be here long." Adam notices her wig, but doesn't mention it, as with empathy, tells her "Mamaw's filled me in on her. Danny's Mama works for her." Karen says "No, that's Elsie's social time. Elizabeth knows Ms. Natalie as an Aunt." Adam asks "So what is it you're saying about not being around? Has that bastard threatened you? I seen the news.." Karen cries "I am dying. Stage 4 and I want you to know your Daughter. I owe you Adam. And that divorce was terrible. I was young and stupid." They stand, as Adam hugs his ex-wife, and says softly "You have my promise Elizabeth will be fine." Karen holds onto him, and cries, as Adam does as well. At the bar, Wylene watches on, also filled with emotions, and cries also.

    Meanwhile at Hall Enterprises, Ed's on the line with Janet, as she heads home for the day as she sighs "Let's just do this and finish it up Ed!" Ed answers "We will Janet. Give me time." Janet swerves, and yells "Damnit we don't have enough time!" Jeff walks in, as Ed hangs up, and Jeff tells his Uncle "So Gram's went crazy and you and your mistress is trying to destroy the company as you've long planned?" Ed snaps at his Nephew "How the hell do you know what I'm doing?" Jeff answers "I met Adam, and Gram sent me a message, telling you she's dropping by. She misspelled some words.." Ed yells "SHIT! Look just go on."Jeff answers "Yeah, Adam actually said to just close the doors for today unless one of us is here." Ed snarls, as they head out. At Jake's Law Firm, Stephanie shows up, as she asks her fiance, "How you doing?" Jake vows "Trisha's on her own here. And now Gram sent this text to me. Damn if my Dad is at his old tricks and I'm sick of it!" Stephanie asks "Well baby, how's your Mom going to.." Jake grows distant, and then in a serious tone answers "She has stood by him through it all, but it has cracked. Now Gram's out for revenge, and she hates my Dad. However he's asked for this." Stephanie hugs Jake, as they also share a kiss.

     At Thayer's, Bess manages the bar, as her Mother sits and snarls to her Daughter "You should just go live with that bitch since you stay there. I don't want you in my home." Bess snaps "From what Dad says, may wanna call Gram for a room?" Bess laughs, as a drunkened Trisha warns her Daughter "If my Mama wants to fight me dirty, I'll do the same thing." Bess walks away, sighing "Whatever Mom." Bess warns another bartender "Look after her and if she gets loud, throw her the hell out." The bartender tends to Trisha as she orders more liquor. At Sullivan University, Ford wanders around the campus, as he runs into Courtney, as she gets to the point and asks "So still being an asshole?" Ford walks on, as Courtney says to herself "Should've seen his reaction if I'd asked for Adam's personal number. Something I need to do.", as she heads off to teach her last class of the day. Ford gets to his car, and he gets a message, as he quickly pulls out and speeds off in a frantic hurry.

    At The Mansion, Janet sits at the bar, as Fancy sees her Sister In Law, and warns her "I'm in no mood for your shit!" Janet snaps "I'm waiting for my Husband, otherwise your Brother. I swear your family are inbreds." Fancy warns her "You know all you do is keep Ricky down, and you literally control him! Why do you think Storm turned out like he did? And why he never comes to town whenever.." Janet goes "Ricky and I have no Son Fancy.." Fancy walks away, as Bo comes downstairs, and quips "Off to meet up with Natalie. Elsie's over there.." Janet laughs, as Fancy hugs her Husband, as he leaves and Janet goes "Well that story was right. Mrs. Hall's now hanging around your low life family." Fancy clinches her hands into fists, and warns "Janet, you are really pushing my buttons. I haven't whooped someone's ass in awhile, and I've been waiting for you." Janet gets up, and smiles "No tip. Poor service." Janet leaves, as Fancy pours a glass of liquor, and has a thought.

     Meanwhile back at Hall Manor, Ella arrives, and Elsie greets her with a hug, as Ella asks "Where's Mama?" Elsie takes her to James' former study, as Ella is shocked, as Natalie has a heavy buzz, while Elsie's sober, and Ella asks them in a serious tone "Ok this isn't normal. What the hell is going on?" Natalie asks Ella "Know anything about computers? Mama does but I'm tipsy." She giggles, as Elsie warns Ella "You may need some yourself when this is over." Ella tells her "Elsie, I am fine. Mama is the one I'm worried about." Natalie tells her Daughter "All these years, James and I did not want Ed at Hall, and you always defend him. Well honey, come look at this." Ella walks over, and gasps with horror, as Elsie is silent, as Natalie asks her Daughter "Ella who is the young girl in his office? Apparently he has two women, one a whore. The other, well that's gonna be ignored but remembered." Ella tells her Mother "So what else is there to tell me?" Natalie tells her in a slurred tone "Ella, he and Janet are planning to form a coup on Hall and Broward! He's finished!" Ella's eyes turn red with rage as she yells "This could make Adam hate me Mama! I am Ed's Wife." Elsie goes "Adam's also Elizabeth's biological Father." Natalie tells her "Ella, Adam has known since he arrived. He's got my side in him with our privacy. And his life really messed with him, but I know he's planning something. Mamaw's intuition." Ella asks her Mother "So what do I do? I am really just..." Ella gets emotional, and Natalie hugs her Daughter, as Elsie returns home, and Natalie assures Ella "Ed is going to see you as the strong independent woman your Pa and I raised you to be and have class." Ella walks out, as she calls her Husband to no answer, and sends a text to Jake, and heads to his Loft. Back in James' former library, Natalie sits at her Husband's former desk, and goes "Think I'm crazy, you haven't seen it yet Ed Banks."

 
       At The Crept Myrtle, Adam walks inside his suite, as he reflects upon his visit with his Ex-Wife and has flashbacks, as he takes a deep breath, and makes a phone call, telling the person on the other line "Found him?" The man on the other line, sitting in a SUV answers "No I have not Mr. Lord." Adam coldly goes "This is your test. Fail and I'll make you spend the rest of your days back up in Lexington Prison." Adam hangs up, as he has a thought, and sends a text to Karen, and leaves. At Smallwood Farm, Tom, Karen, and Elizabeth sits around, as Elizabeth looks at her Mom, and excuses herself." Tom tells his Daughter In Law "That's getting more common." Karen sighs with defeat "I know." Outside, Robert, Jordan, and Wylene stand on the porch, as Wylene tells her Father "It's time to give Karen her last wish, for Elizabeth to know the truth about her Dad." Jordan keeps an eye out for Danny, as Robert warns "From what I know, Adam is heavily private and is not a social person. But neither is Natalie." Wylene asks "Do you think he knows?" Robert quickly answers "Oh hell yes he does. But with what we know now, that girl will have a chance with Adam in her life." Wylene sighs with hope "I hope so for Karen and for Elizabeth, and Adam."

     At Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Paul walks in, as suitcases wait by the door, and Paul tells the maid "Trisha's not staying here." At Ford's Loft, near Sullivan University, Ford sits in the living room, as there's a knock at the door. Ford answers, as Trisha looks at her Son, and tells her "Paul is kicking me out." Ford's eyes turn red." At Caroline's Mansion, Caroline beams with joy, as she takes a drink of champagne, and goes "To the end of Trisha being with my Son, and my Son accepting Adam. Now just wish I could meet him." At Janet and Ricky's Home, Ricky watches TV, as he talks to his Son on the phone, and tells him "You need to come home Storm. For me and your Mamaw." At Thayer's, Ella meets with her Son, as Jake gets up as Ella cries on her Son's shoulder as she goes "Mama was right Son."" Jake calls over the waiter, as he tells his Mother "Well let's eat, and discuss it more." Ella whispers "He's broken his promise on merging Hall and Broward, and cheating again. And you did not tell me." Jake is silent. At The Crept Myrtle, Ed and Janet sits as they have dinner together, and Janet warns him "I think Caroline will be in the way, but enough bad press can work." Ed quips "Hall Enterprises is quickly falling. Adam I am certain's a con-artist." Adam walks through, and catches the end, as he warns Ed "When I have my moment with you, you will watch what in the hell you say!" Adam walks off, as Janet is awed, as Ed goes "He's evil." Janet goes "Deliciously." Nearby, Bo records them. At Hall Manor, Jeff arrives, as he yells "Queen I'm home!" Jeff notices she's left. At Ford's Loft, Ford has left, as Trisha sits and has an array of emotions and guilt, as there's a knock at the door, and Trisha answers and says "Ford's.." Natalie aims a pistol at her Daughter, and coldly goes "You never knew how to shut up and now I'll make sure you do just that bitch."

   
 

   

   

   

Change Of Season: Episode 8. The Fall From The Top

     At Hall Enterprises, Ed walks into Jeff's office, as Jeff sighs "Well Gram's visit was quick." Ed is silent, and goes "Where's my Son? Thought the two of you were catching up?" Jeff tells him "We picked the years up, but now I need to finish reading these files." Ed tells Jeff "You are like a Son to me you know?" Jeff quickly answers "And once I respected you." At Broward Inc, Caroline sits at Lacey's now former desk, as Janet tells her "Caroline. This is going to bring down our entire company. All other interests will be affected with Trisha's DUI. Time to lay off Paul, and let me run things here. It'd be historic." Caroline sternly says "Nobody but a Broward will ever run this company, and one who will never sit in Forrest's old office is you Janet." Janet asks "My Brother and Dora?" Caroline nods, and tells her "Now leave me alone. I'm expecting Natalie." Janet tells her "I think I should be here." Caroline rolls her eyes, as Natalie walks off the elevator, and Janet goes with a fake smile "Ms. Hall! So wonderful to see the first lady of Sullivan." Natalie glares at her, and turns to her best friend, and asks Caroline "Has this bitch mentioned to you her plans with Ed?" Caroline's eyes cut to Janet, as Janet asks in an unknowing tone "She hasn't." Natalie asks Janet "So you homewrecker, who's telling her? You or me?"

     At The Flamingo, Adam walks around Teddy's desk, as Teddy sits as Adam asks him "So tell me all about Danny Smallwood. Where he lives. Everything. Remember if you don't play, you pay with blood." Teddy snaps "Who are you? Are you undercover?" Adam tells Teddy "Hold up." Adam unties his tie, and then throws it around Teddy's neck, choking him, as Adam bends down, tightening his grip, as he asks "Got anymore questions? Wanna mess with me?" Teddy shakes his head, as Adam loosens the tie, and picks up his pistol, as Teddy begins to open. At Smallwood Farm, Tom, Elsie, Robert, and Elizabeth sits in the living room, as Wylene arrives and Robert tells Elizabeth "Talk to my Daughter, and if Karen's up to it.." Wylene tells her Father "Chief I know Karen." As they walk onto the back porch, Elizabeth asks Wylene "But you're Natalie's private therapist according to Grandma? Wylene smiles "I go where the wind takes me when I'm needed." Back inside, Robert reminds Tom and Elsie "Now y'all know how he is, so we may need backup. I'll call my guys down at the station, and my newest deputy. She's my successor." Tom quips "Ahh shit", as he opens his closet door to show his collection, as Robert tells him "Some of em guns are illegal. Wanna go to jail Tom? But hell, you'd not learn. I learned that one over the years." Elsie starts to get emotional, as she says "I can't believe it's come to this." Tom holds his Wife tightly, as they both cry, and Robert walks over and prays over them.

     At Anna's Mansion, Ella is let inside by the maid, as Anna warns "Don't start! That was strictly Mama and we need to stay out of this!" Ella snaps back "How in the hell can we stay out. She's going to make our Sister crazy, and no Anna I have not forgotten either as Mama says to me often!" Anna sighs with frustration "Ella, without Daddy, she is a new person. But she has held this in for a very long time!" Ella asks "Can't she, and hell, all of us accept Adam and move forward?" Anna tells her Sister "I've yet to meet him, but can't wait to get the chance." Ella changes subjects, and goes "Well he's not at Hall." Anna quips "Likely learning his way around Sullivan." At WSVN, the top network in Sullivan and for over 35 years, where Ella was a lead anchor for the news, Trisha sits inside a office, and goes "It's crazy. This guy. She found him out west, and nobody thinks he's truly my missed Sister's Son." Blake Clayton "Owner of WSVN, smiles with a grin "Finally some news to report on the Hall family, and the ratings shall fly. There's been rumors about Natalie Hall losing it. But you also made the news?" Trisha smiles "More time for my Husband." Blake tells her "Well my assistant will get on it immediately. He's getting transferred here from the Midwest. Trisha leaves, as Blake laughs to himself, and goes "Just went to number one."

    Meanwhile at Thayer's, Bo treats his Wife and Daughter to lunch, and Fancy snarls, after her confrontation with Caroline "I swear she and I one day will fight to the death!" Bo reminds his Wife "Just remember what I say and stay far away from her. And since Lacey's out of a job, well now you can." Fancy sighs "But I'm friends with Paul." Lacey reminds her "Mom he and Uncle Ricky are always hanging out. You will see him!" Bo adds "And Lacey can pick up Elsie if she has too much to drink at work!" Fancy is silent, as Bo gets a text from Robert, and tells his Daughter "Keep an eye on your Mama for me. I'm going over to help Robert," Bo leaves, as Fancy tells Lacey "Just work with Bess and me at The Mansion, and I'm taking the day off." Lacey laughs and asks "How is Thayer's?" Fancy smiles "Nothing on me!"

    At The Crown, Paul meets Ricky, as Ford is also with them as they drink and Paul sighs with dread "It's about to be over with Trisha!" Ford warns his Father "Dad I side with Mom." Ricky snaps "Ford can't you see that its going to be over between them. A lifetime of pure hell. I know I'm ready to leave Janet but the bitch has her name on everything and I am not moving in with anybody. I'd stay under a bridge." Ford tells them "The two of you enjoy discussing divorce and I have to return to work." Paul asks "How did that meeting go?" Ford walks away." Ricky tells Paul "It'd be best. You know my Wife's power hungry like Ed Banks." Paul's phone rings, as its Trisha, and he ignores the call, and takes his drink and tells his friend "Here's a toast to a future as single men again!" They toast and start to laugh, for a moment distracting Paul.

    Back at Broward Inc, Caroline, Janet, and Natalie stands in the lobby, as Janet asks Natalie "Has my Mother In Law turned you into a drunk? To come and accuse me of conspiring of Ed? Everybody knows he's a snake and I mean had I been you, I'd hired outside the family." Caroline tells Janet, in a serious tone "If anyone ever merges Broward and Hall, Adam Lord will be the one over it. He's my Grandson, and Natalie's Grandson." Janet snarls "Yeah and from what I hear he isn't a savvy businessman." Natalie glares at Janet, and then warns "Never speak ill of him again or I'll make you regret it! You have it coming for you!!" Caroline asks "Well when will I meet him?" Natalie answers, as she heads back to the elevator "He has more important things to do right now." Caroline turns to Janet, and warns her "If I find out what she said's true, and why would she? She shall be the least of your worries. Now I'm going to check on Paul, and you are being watched." Caroline leaves also, as Janet looks around and heads to her office, and checks her phone as her jaw drops, as she goes "Hope Caroline sees this!"

    At The Flamingo, Teddy silently sits in his office, as he tries to get his mind together after his visit from Adam. Teddy makes a phone call, and tells Danny "You need to watch your ass. Somebody is coming for you. And I can't say no more. This person isn't someone you want to mess with is all I learned.", as he hangs up, and rubs his neck. At Hall Enterprises, Adam finally arrives, as Anna visits with Jeff, and Adam walks into their office, as Adam asks "Jeff Evans?" Jeff nods, and Anna smiles "Adam.. Sarah's pride and joy. Oh my heart.." Jeff excuses his Mother, as Adam tells them "I had some things to do. My apologies." Jeff quips "It's ok." Anna tells Adam "My Mama is so happy because of you. Am so am I. I am here for you and whatever you wish to call me, feel free to. Welcome to our family." Adam opens his arms, and hugs his Aunt and whispers "I think you'll be my Aunt Anna. Mom always spoke highly of you." In Ed's office, Ed looks at his phone, as he grins with joy in his eyes, as he says "Now the skeletons are out of the closet."

     As social media begins to blow up over Trisha's interview with WSVN, at The Mansion, Ella sits as she looks at her phone, as a reporter comes up to her and asks "Are you helping your Husband steal your Mother's home and legacy?" Ella storms out in a fury. At Hall Enterprises, Jeff looks at his Mother, as both look at each other with anger in their eyes. In Ed's office, Ed sits with a smirk, as he texts to Janet "It's gonna happen!" Janet, sitting in her office at Broward Inc, texts back "Meet me tonight. Thayer's." Meanwhile at Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Trisha walks in to find the place empty, and pulls out a suitcase, then walks over to Paul's safe, and takes cash and his pistol with payback in her eyes. At Smallwood Farm, Karen walks out, as Wylene tells her, everybody's napping." Karen asks Wylene "I just got a text, and I'll tell you more on the way." Wylene nudges her Father, as she whispers "Mama and the church choir's about to be here to practice." Robert goes "Don't do that to me!" Wylene tells him "Chief time to wake up. I got to take Karen somewhere. Elizabeth is asleep, just checked, and yes Mama's on her way to bring food." Robert hugs Wylene and Karen as they leave, and Robert calls a deputy, and tells them "Ok new girl, show me what you got rookie!" At The Crown, Paul and Ricky switch from beer to coffee, as they chat, and Ricky's phone rings, as Paul also gets a call and answers as it's his Mother, and Caroline yells "Read the news Paul! This is bad!!" At Hall Manor, Natalie walks in, as she lights a cigarette, and says "Mothers bring them in, but they are allowed to take them out.", with anger in her eyes.


   

 

   

Change Of Season: Episode 7. The Method of Payback

    It's the next morning in Sullivan, and at Hall Manor, Anna awakens, as Jeff sits in the kitchen, as she asks "Did you sleep well son?" Jeff nods, and goes "Gram left early this morning." Anna rolls her eyes, as she asks her Son "Did she tell you where?" Jeff tells his Mother "She did not. But, she stayed up very late." Anna sighs "She's up to something. I may be the one she lets in, but when she works alone and with my Daddy being gone to stop her.." Jeff sighs "I hope Adam's not a snake like Ed." Anna assures "He's not, and don't forget what we discussed last night." Jeff replies "Will do Mom.", as he gets up and hugs her as he heads down to Hall Enterprises. Anna stands in the kitchen, as she has a thought, and quips "I know what it is.. I hope." At the Sullivan Police Department, Ella argues with the jailer "Why can I not bail Trisha out? What's the deal because do you not know who I am?" Jailer, in a disrespectful tone answers "A washed up news anchor." Natalie walks inside, as Ella asks her Mother "What's going on? Trisha called me this morning..." Natalie goes "Go back home and leave her to me." Ella answers "No, I won't Mama. I know you have it out for her and I'm going nowhere." Natalie coldly tells her Daughter "Don't ask me for pity then if you get your feelings hurt. This is playing right in my hands." Natalie walks into the visitation area, as Ella follows with fear in her eyes.

    At Park Lane Medical Center, Elizabeth sits in the bed in her room, as Elsie walks in and brings coffee for them as Tom grumbles "I didn't sleep worth a damn." Elsie snaps "Well I haven't slept asshole!" Elizabeth asks "Is Mom coming down here?" Elsie responds "Hopefully not because the Doctor's gonna release you." Elizabeth begins to suffer a panic attack, as Tom motions Elsie to walk outside, as she follows and Tom tells his Wife "Elsie, Danny's got to get out of our house. You seen it too and you agree." Elsie answers "Yes I do, but how do we make it happen without calling Chief?" Tom tells his Wife "Call Chief and tell him to come down here."  At Smallwood Farm, Danny awakens, as Fancy asks her Brother "Are you alive?" Danny snarls "What the hell are you doing here and where is Karen?" Fancy quips "Karen is resting, and I am babysitting the house while Mama and Daddy's with Elizabeth." Danny laughs "That little whore had it coming. I tried to stop her from that lifestyle.." Fancy angrily goes "You did not and shut up with the lie you sorry son of a bitch! You've put her through more hell than she ever deserved!" Danny yells back "Look who pretends she doesn't have demons. Does Lacey know the truth?" Fancy slaps her Brother, and snarls "I wish you'd been left beaten in the road, and left for dead. If I ever find you like that, you will be." Danny boldly yells "Get out of my house! I run this place, and Mama and Daddy said.." Karen wakes up, as Bo walks in and grabs Danny, pulling his knife out, and warns him "If I ever see you put your hands on my Wife again Danny, I'll kill you and feed you to the fish in Indian Point Lake!" Danny grows quiet, as Bo tells his Wife "Time to change shifts." They hug, as Danny asks "The two of you think I'd rape my own Daughter?" Fancy answers "You fit the part." Fancy leaves, as Bo tells Danny "One wrong move and you'll be dead." Danny looks at his Brother In Law, as Karen walks inside and Danny tells his Wife "Time to go make some money." Danny leaves, as Karen sighs with relief "Thank god."

     Meanwhile at the Village Inn, Adam and Courtney recount the evening before, as he tells her "That was quite a moment this morning." Courtney reassures him "And nothing happened. We both were trashed!" Ford walks inside, as he walks over and asks Courtney "Where have you been?" Adam and Ford glare at each other, as Ford asks Courtney "Do you know who you're having breakfast with?" Courtney reminds Ford "You and I aren't dating." Adam tells his Brother "How about you get lost." Ford gets angry, and yells "You are the one who's out for something. And both of my Grandmothers are enjoying every damn second. You are really a con-artist." Courtney snaps in defense of Adam "You need to back the hell off Ford! He's been through worse than you could ever imagine!" Ford asks Adam "So tell me your story?" Adam gets up, and tells Courtney "I have things to do,", and leaves as Ford warns "I do not want you to be anywhere around that bastard." Courtney answers in a blistering slap across Ford's face, as she walks out and says "See you at the University today and don't talk to me."

    At Thayer's, Ed and Janet has breakfast together, as Janet laughs "My pitiful excuse of a husband went to babysit his Brother today or whatever the degenerates ask." Ed asks "So you already told Paul huh? But then again, he's busy. Its your time." Janet nods in agreement, as she quips "Caroline likely will be at the office today." Ed sighs with dread "My nephew Jeff returns today. I'm going to see if he'll come to my side of things. But he does follow whatever Natalie tells him." Janet grabs his hand, and goes with a smile "Soon we'll be the power couple of Sullivan." They toast, as they say "To the future." At Broward Inc, Lacey arrives as Caroline greets her, going "Paul is home. Today you're my secretary." Lacey moans with dread "Great, and I know.. you call the shots." Caroline snaps "Watch your tone trash. Don't tempt me to fire you!" Lacey responds in a snarky tone "I only answer to Paul." Caroline gets up from her Son's desk, and asks "Now is that so? Well whore, you should know something. I hate you. I hate your Mother, who ranks right there with my Daughter In Law in the tramp department. Your family has caused me nothing but pain. Seeing you face, enrages me more than you could imagine." And if your family and you died at once, I'd celebrate!" Lacey slaps Caroline across the face, and storms out, as Caroline sits back down, and reads files, as she sighs "Good to get that off my chest." Outside at Lacey's desk, Lacey calls her Mother, in tears. Fancy, driving towards The Mansion, quickly makes a detour, and tells her Daughter "I'm about to be there shortly!"

     At the Sullivan Police Department, Robert walks past, as Ella stops him and asks "What is my Mama holding over you?" Robert quips "She donates to my charity for the poor in Sullivan. And James was my best friend." In the visitation room, Trisha asks "Where is my Husband?" Natalie laughs "Likely relaxing, enjoying you being gone. You know you just destroyed your marriage, and now the truth is known." Trisha yells "If Daddy was alive you wouldn't do this." Natalie goes "You are right. You hurt Sarah badly Trisha. Your jealously made me lose a number of years with her, same for your Daddy and your Sisters. And Adam..." Trisha snaps angrily "I've heard enough about him! I think he's playing you!" Natalie calmly answers "That's my Grandson, and he will be the heir to James and I's fortune. I just want to make one thing known to you right now." Natalie walks over to her Daughter, and bends downs and whispers "I will find joy in my days without my greatest joy making you pay anyway I can. And not Paul, Ella, your kids can stop me. Well Paul will have enough anyway." Trisha responds boldly "And mark my words you bitch, you want a war, well you old senile witch, you've got one!" Natalie walks out of the visitation room, and quips "Clean yourself up before going home." Natalie walks into the lobby, as Ella warns her Mother "I don't like this. You are hellbent on making Trisha pay for something that happened years ago and move on! Adam's here, isn't that enough?" Natalie glares at her Daughter, and goes "It is not Ella. And the more you talk, the less I like you." Robert is quiet, as Natalie walks out, and Robert tells Ella "Well take her on home now." Ella waits, as she shakes her head with sadness and hurt.

     At Hall Enterprises, Jeff arrives, as Adam's secretary tells him "Mr. Lord isn't here, but your Uncle is here." Jeff sighs "Oh shit, well point me to my office." The secretary leads Jeff to his new office. At The Crown, Paul sits at the bar, as he drinks and Anna arrives, and goes "I'd thought you'd be down getting Trisha out of jail." Paul tells his Sister In Law "Our Mothers are going to drive her crazy. This was a new low and now charges." Anna gasps "Charges?" Paul snaps "Natalie and my Mama needs to stop. The past is where it needs to stay. So Adam's in town. According to Ford, he isn't very interested in me or his siblings." Anna adds "And don't forget your drunken Wife who drove his Mother to an early grave. Your true love." Paul snaps "Damnit will you all stop talking about Sarah! Hell don't think I was hurt. I made my mistake marrying Trisha and I just need time to wrap my head around the fact Sarah and I's Son is here. I hope so at least." Anna goes "Mama only expects the best. And she wouldn't have gone as far as she has otherwise." Paul agrees, as Anna gets a text and leaves, as Paul orders another drink, and says "He's my Son." Paul says to himself "Should I?" with fear in his tone, and longing in his eye to meet his Son.

    At Broward Inc, Caroline sits inside Paul's office, as she tells her Son on the other line "If you decide to, let me know, so Natalie will know. And right now the less you know the better." Caroline hangs up, as Lacey walks inside, and asks "Anymore copies for you bitch?" Caroline hatefully goes "Copy a pink slip and give it to yourself you whore." Lacey snaps "I've had enough from you Caroline..." Fancy storms inside angrily, as she yells "Caroline you done made a damn mistake taking your anger out on Lacey that you should take on me!" Caroline quips "Looks like Lacey called in the master of how to be a whore, Fancy Smallwood. I'd say Jennings.." Fancy looks at her Daughter, and tells her "Lacey you need to leave this to us." Lacey warns "Mom! You need backup. What if Janet.." Caroline yells "Come on Fancy, since your family is full of mistakes, and you own that old mansion... what's your secret recipe?" Fancy warns Lacey "Get out." Caroline tells Fancy "Tell you Daughter your recipe for your powerful seduction of Browards." Fancy yells at Lacey one more time "Dammit Lacey I said leave!" Lacey answers "No Mom I won't. What is this bitch trying to say?" Fancy tells Caroline "Tell Paul Lacey quit. And you don't ever cross my path again if you know what's good for you." Caroline asks "Does that mean you'll stop your sexual tendencies towards the Broward men?" Fancy and Lacey storm out, as they wait for the elevator, as Janet gets off and Lacey gets on, as Fancy returns to Paul's office, and coldly warns Caroline "Hurt my Daughter, and I will make you suffer you miserable high class bitch."


     At Smallwood Farm, Robert arrives, as Bo and Karen greet him, and Robert gives her a hug, and goes "Lena and I always pray for you." Bo tells Robert "Elizabeth is on her way home, and where's your deputy?" Robert quips "Chief knows how to handle a Smallwood. I remember Tom's still." Bo and Karen laugh, as Robert assures them "Leave it to me, and hopefully Tom'll stay out of my damn way and this will be solved." At The Flamingo, Teddy sits inside his office, as Danny pleads his innocence, as Teddy warns him "I know you did this you sick bastard! Man though I run this strip club, I'd never treat my own or step-child like you have done Elizabeth! And bruh, treating Karen like you have.. Where the hell are your morals?" Danny yells "I got morals damnit!" Danny stands and warns Teddy "Push me and I'll expose what you're really doing." Teddy answers "You seem to have a death wish too Danny." Danny leaves and walks past Adam, as he asks a bartender "Where's the owner?"  Back at Smallwood Farm, Tom, Elsie, and Elizabeth, as Robert looks at Tom "All these years and now you need my help." Tom goes "Oh shut up. It's for Elizabeth." Robert tells them "Bo has left and Karen is resting." Elizabeth goes into her Mother's bedroom, as Tom asks Robert "So where's the squad Chief?" Robert quips "I got you and Elsie to help me. Elizabeth." Tom nods, and sighs "I should've been more open to your words but.." Robert smiles "Times change Tom." Elsie nods in agreement. In Karen's Bedroom, Karen lays on the bed, as she touches her Daughter's face, and tells her "We have one more thing to do." Elizabeth asks "What's that Mom?" Karen, with a tear rolling down her cheek, tells her "Time for you to meet your truth my baby." Elizabeth asks "What are you talking about?" Karen smiles "I need to know you have support. I have to know that and I can do that now."

    At Hall Enterprises, Jeff and Jake catch up inside Jeff's office as Jake tells his Cousin "So met Adam yet? I haven't." Jeff tells him "He is late apparently. Gram did say he's got a lot of things on the burner." Jake tells Jeff "She's supposed to come down here." Jeff quips "Of course. Its tradition, and she's happy for a change since Grandpa passed away." Jake agrees, as they continue to catch up. In Ed's office, Ed hangs up with Ella, as he rolls his eyes, and says out loud "She's really went batshit." Unknown to him, Natalie stands outside his door, and walks inside and asks "Who's gone batshit Ed?" Ed gasps with shock, as Natalie warns him "Don't push my buttons. I know more than you think." Ed asks "What exactly do you know? Know I should be running Hall?" Natalie in a coy tone answers "Umm, enough to destroy you. I imagine my Daughter filled you in on Trisha's ordeal. Well call it practice." Natalie walks out, as Ed shakes his head in disbelief, and a bad feeling.

      Meanwhile at Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Bess arrives, as Paul tells his Children "Your Mom hasn't returned since her Mama bailed her out." Bess quips "Maybe she'll disappear. I hate her more now that Grandma Caroline opened up to me." Paul walks into the bedroom, as he yells with frustration, as Ford reminds his Sister "This guy Adam is going to hurt you, as he's hurting Dad, and I think Gram's gone off the deep end." Bess yells "Gram's never lied, same for Grandmother!" Ford heads to the door, as he goes "Time to meet with the Dean of Sullivan University." Ford leaves, as Bess stands and has a thought, and walks into the bedroom and tells her Father "Let's meet Adam!" Paul looks at his Daughter, and fear comes in his eyes, as he cries. At Broward Inc, Caroline gets a text from Natalie, as she grabs her keys, and is stopped by Janet, as she quickly excuses herself. Janet notices the quiet, and says "Perfect.", and sends a text. At The Flamingo, Teddy counts cash, as he smokes a blunt, and Adam walks inside, and Teddy asks "Who the hell are you?" Adam pulls out his pistol, and goes "I'm going to ask some questions, and one wrong answer? Bang." Teddy pulls his pistol out, as Adam goes "Just don't. I already have what I need, now are we going to do this my way, or would you rather meet the end of this bullet?"

   

   


 

   
   
 

Change Of Season: Episode 6. The Raging Storm

     Night has fallen, and at the Broward Mansion, Caroline sits in the living room, as Bess sighs "Wish I could stay with you.." Caroline immediate answers "Move on in. I'd love to have someone here to talk to. Does my heart good. And would do you good. And away from that evil bitch you have to call Mom." Bess goes "With all I learned today, now I know why Gram always kinda frowned on me and Ford, but not the others, and apparently in love with Adam." Caroline tells her "Well, Natalie and Sarah were always close. Knowing he's here, and running Hall, that really helps her except the news I got earlier." Bess sighs "What's the deal with that?" Caroline fills her Granddaughter in. At Hall Manor, Natalie is alone, sitting in the den, smoking a cigarette as she speaks to Elsie on the phone, as Elsie tells Natalie "I'll be at work tomorrow." Natalie tells Elsie "Elizabeth and I need you right now, so don't worry. The beer is safe." Elsie laughs "I know it is. I'll visit." They hang up, as the doorbell rings, and Natalie heads to answer, as her Grandson, Jeff Evans smiles, and goes "The Queen!" Natalie's eyes fill with joy, as she hugs him tightly, and asks "Does Anna know?" Jeff whispers "Gram, that's your move." Natalie laughs "Tomorrow we'll surprise her and keep you to myself and we can catch up you wonderful boy!" They head to den as Natalie fills him in on things.

    At Ed and Ella's Home, Ed arrives, as Ella greets him, and says "Dinner is ready. You look rough again." Ed snaps "Lord is a con-artist Ella!" Ella snaps "Look Ed, I've spoke to Anna today, and that's my Nephew. You learn to deal with it!" Ed tells her boldly "I'll have him out of the way, watch and see Ella. Hall Enterprises is mine!" Ella answers back in a stern and serious tone "And you will be out of this house and without me." At Anna's Mansion, Anna sits in the living room, as she reads Jeff's text and the doorbell rings." Anna answers and sighs with dread "They always say the crazies show up at night." A drunken Trisha stumbles in, and cries "I'm finished. I'm finished!" Anna tells her Sister "And you know what? It's about damn time!" You were always a troublemaker. You were insanely jealous of Sarah's beauty, her close relationships with Mama and Daddy! If I called Paul, and asked him who he really loves, he'd say Sarah!" Trisha slurs "I hate you Anna. You are Mama's little minion. You are helping her aren't you?" Anna pulls out the phone, and tells Trisha "I'm calling you a cab. And no I am not. But the past comes back sometimes, and yours has so its on you, and now shut up."

    At Park Lane Medical Center, Tom is in Elizabeth's room, as she's admitted and he tells her "Now your Mamaw and Papaw will find answers to this!" Elizabeth sleeps, as he texts his Daughter, and Fancy replies "Karen is ok. Danny is out." Tom tells his Granddaughter "Your Mama's fine. Mamaw's here too. Just sleep." At The Crept Myrtle, Adam's in the lobby, as Courtney taps him on the shoulder, and goes "We meet again." Adam responds "Yep. Just wish I knew." Courtney tells him "Let's head over to the bar. On me." Adam answers "Don't wish to discuss it." Courtney grabs him by the arm, and says "Everybody needs somebody Adam. And you need a friend." Courtney and Adam head to the bar. Back at Park Lane Medical Center, Tom and Elsie stand outside in the smoking area, and Tom tells his Wife "Give me one Elsie." Elsie gasps "But you quit 30 years ago." Tom tells his Wife "Well I need one with this shit with Elizabeth. How we are going to protect them from Danny. Do I really wanna call the Chief.." Elsie lights her cigarette, as she holds his hand, and pulls out her phone and laughs "Well Tom, Granny just has to make a phone call. It'd be great to see him." Tom goes, as he is clueless "Who Elsie?" Elsie smiles "Ricky's boy, Storm. He is on parole." Tom laughs, as does Elsie, as they hug.

     Meanwhile at The Mansion, Paul has a drink, as Fancy and Bo sigh "Janet's a total bitch." Paul adds "I wish Mama would back off of Lacey." Bo is quiet, as Fancy motions both to silence, as Fancy assures her Husband "Caroline is a mean old bitch. Poor Forrest did get around to find some happiness. You've always kept me happy." Bo and Fancy kiss, as Bo heads upstairs, and Fancy goes "That was too close." Paul gets a text and yells "Shit!" Fancy asks "What is it Paul?" Paul gets up and yells "Trisha's gotten another DUI!" Paul rushes out, as Lacey walks in and Fancy tells her Daughter "I'm to the farm, dinner is cooked. Love you." Fancy leaves, as Lacey heads upstairs. At Janet and Ricky's home, located outside Sullivan, Ricky yells at his Wife "All hell is breaking loose, and all you do is damn bitch!" Janet screams "Your family's trash! And if not for me, we'd not have all this.." Ricky yells in fury "I quit at Broward because of you. So no you selfish bitch it isn't just you! You are truly a pain in the ass!" Janet snaps "I'm going to my room for the night, remember who's name is on everything Ricky." Ricky answers "Kiss my ass!", as he heads to his room, calling it a night, worried for his parents, and says to himself "Screw you Janet."

    Meanwhile at Robert and Lena's home, Lena walks into the living room, as Robert hangs up the phone, and goes "Trisha Broward's staying at the jail apparently." Lena asks her Husband "All about work? Not one word about me and my trip?" Robert tells his Wife "I know you got high." Lena kisses him and laughs "You live once Chief. So what's my punishment?" Robert walks over to a desk, and pulls out Lena's paddle from her years teaching, as Lena reminds him "We aren't spring chickens you bad boy.." Robert smiles "Time for you and me to catch up on you leaving me alone to eat out for my meals and dealing with Teddy.." Lena goes "My big baby.", as they head to the bedroom. At Thayer's, an upscale restaurant, Wylene and her Brother, Teddy sits at the bar as Teddy asks "So when's Sydney returning from Africa?" Wylene answers "Soon. Mama's home and she had fun. But wait before visiting her." Teddy snaps "I refuse to go anywhere my Father is!" Wylene snaps "Maybe if you'd grow up and stop helping Smallwood and run something legit, then your relationship would be better!" Teddy answers "I live my life Wylene. Daddy loves you more. Look who he always turns to and always spoiled.." Wylene rolls her eyes, and sighs "He taught me strength and how to fight and be my own woman without help from any man. You seemed to not learn his lesson Teddy. I'm going home." Wylene leaves, as Teddy checks his phone, and horror comes over his face.

     Back at Broward Mansion, Bess is in shock, as she hangs up with her Father, and Caroline asks "Well??" Bess goes "Mom got arrested for a DUI." Caroline laughs "Good for her." Bess sighs with sadness "She's really changing." Caroline quips "Natalie's worst mistake." Bess adds "And now with knowing of her and Dad's history with Sarah.." Caroline nods, and goes "Yes my girl, Natalie really changed after, and I never liked your Mother. Sarah was a saint compared to Trisha." Bess yawns, as she sighs "Time for bed." Caroline agrees, as she tells her "Sleep well Bess. See you tomorrow and we'll try to meet Adam." Bess heads to the guest room, as Caroline makes a phone call to Natalie, to no answer. Caroline has a thought, and heads to bed for the night."

   At Hall Manor, Natalie, Anna, and Jeff sit in the den, as Natalie laughs "Well that was just perfect!" Jeff tells his Grandmother "I am stunned at that Queen." Jeff then tells his Mother "And you didn't call a cab? Just.." Anna tells her Son, as she grabs his hand "Mama needs a break, and here was the chance." Natalie goes "She knows her day is near. Sarah will have her justice. So will Adam!" Anna agrees, as Jeff asks "Well Queen, you have changed since Grandpa's passed.." Natalie tells her Grandson, as the doorbell rings, and Anna heads to the door "I have. And I am now going to run things as I see fit. No questions!" Anna returns as she says "Pizza!" Natalie tells them "Now let's have dinner, and we'll just have a sleepover!"

  At the Crept Myrtle, Adam tells Courtney, as they sit at a table, and both are buzzed "It was terrible. Each holiday we'd get cards and Mom would get so upset. She was so sensitive and then met that son of a.. look never mind..." Courtney tells him "Look it's ok. Do you feel better?" Adam sighs "Kinda. You know, you are very easy to be around. I feel comfortable, but the night must end and we return to our suites." They look into each other's eyes, as they touch hands, and they head off to the elevator, as they head upstairs for the night.

   Meanwhile back at Ed and Ella's Home, Ed's on the back porch, as he reads the updates on Elizabeth along with Ella, as she sighs with sadness "Elsie's family has a rough past, and poor Elizabeth ended up with Danny Smallwood. I know he did it." Ed tells his Wife "Me too. Ella's phone rings, as she walks inside, as Ed makes a phone call. At Smallwood Farm, Danny's phone rings, but Danny's passed out on the couch, as Fancy quietly walks inside, and Karen greets her, as they hug, and Fancy asks her Sister in Law "How's things been?" Karen sighs "Himself." Fancy tells her "Mama and Daddy's at the Hospital and neither one's leaving, and I'm going to stay here." Karen goes "Fancy it'll be fine.." Fancy whispers sternly "Danny never has given you or Elizabeth anything but hell and you don't need all of this at this point." Karen sighs "Sometimes I wonder what if I'd told him.." Fancy asks "Told who?" Karen answers "Adam Lord," Fancy gasps.

   At the Sullivan Police Department, Jake sits in a visitation room, as Trisha's brought inside, and Trisha yells "There is a God!" Jake warns "May not be just yet." Trisha goes "Anna set me up Jake!" Jake goes "Paul has went home for the night and I have spoken to Gram." Trisha snarls with anger "Mama was behind this wasn't she? Damn evil bitch! What have I ever done to her to deserve this?" Jake yawns "It's late. We all know that story Aunt Trisha. Also thank Gram tomorrow when she comes to get you out." Jake walks out, as Trisha's taken to a cell. At Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Ford tells his Father "Mom needs to be in there. Leave her." Paul quips "It certainly is more peaceful. Ford leaves, as Paul calls it a night. In the hallway, Ford sends Courtney a text, which goes ignored.

   At Hall Manor, Anna and Jeff has called it a night, as Natalie sits in James' former office, and opens a folder, as she says boldly "Ed will pay." At The Broward Mansion, Bess has fallen asleep, as Caroline prepares to turn in as she gets a text from Natalie, updating her on Elizabeth. Caroline is silent, as she gets emotional, and prays. At Park Lane Medical Center, Elizabeth is awake, as she talks to her Mother, and Elsie sits next to her, as Tom's asleep in another chair. Elizabeth hangs up, as Elsie asks "So who did this to you Elizabeth?" Elizabeth takes a deep breath, as she goes "I told him no.." Elsie slowly responds "My worst fear come true."

 

 

    

Change Of Season: Episode 5. The Domino Effect

     At Park Lane Medical Center, Elizabeth is in the ER, as Caroline sits in the waiting area, her eyes in deep thought as a nurse asks "Are you related to Elizabeth Travis?" Caroline looks at her, and is silent, as Tom and Elsie arrives, and Caroline asks "Where is that trash you call a Son?" Tom warns
"We are here for our Granddaughter. Now's not the time to go to battle." Elsie tells Caroline "Thank you for saving her. I'd figured since she's related to us, you'd finish her off." Caroline gets up, and sternly tells Tom and Elsie "I am her Grandmother. And when she's released, she's going to learn who her real family is besides living in the dark ages!" Elsie grows angry, asking "What in the hell do you mean you uppity bitch?" Caroline smirks "Well face it Elsie, you failed as a Mother, and as a pretend Granny. And look who you married, him." Tom tells Caroline "We love Elizabeth and her Mama. And our Son is a disappointment to both of us." Caroline snaps "Well if Elsie was a good mother..." Elsie jumps on Caroline, as a fight breaks out. Robert arrives, along with a deputy, as they break up the fight, and Caroline warns Elsie "Your Son will pay for this. And you can be a drunk full-time after Natalie finds out! Excuse me. I'm allergic to white trash." Caroline struts out, as Elsie snarls "I really want to whoop her ass!" Tom answers "Go be with Elizabeth." Elsie walks into the ER, as Tom turns to Robert, and snaps "And I don't have shit to say to you Chief!' Robert quips, as he and the deputy turn to leave "Hope you have bail money Tommy."

   At Hall Enterprises, Adam is on the phone, as he tells the person on the other line "Thank you." and hangs up, as someone walks inside and Adam asks "And who are you?" Ford tells him "Your Brother.." Anger fills Adam, as he gets up, and yells "Not my damn brother and sister!" Ford tells Adam "I know your story and I am making sure Gram isn't losing it like my Mom says.." Adam glares at him, and bluntly says "I don't give a shit about your Mom. That whore destroyed my Mom, and as for your Dad, he isn't shit to me!" Ford goes "I would like to try to grow close..." Adam snaps "Forget it! I have already told you how I feel, so leave now before I lose it!" Ford warns "If you hurt my parents Adam, you'll answer to me." Adam laughs "Keep dreaming and go on to the University Professor. Yeah I know about all of you!" Ford storms out, shaking his head with sadness, and hurt. He walks to the elevator, and Ed steps off, and Ed smiles "How ya doing Ford?" Ford tells him "Regretting coming down here. And zip up your pants." Ford leaves, as Ed heads to his office, and has a thought. Back in Adam's office, Adam pulls out his folder, and reads as rage fills his eyes.

   At Broward Inc, Janet walks inside, as Lacey laughs "Might want to re button your blouse." Janet huffs off, as the elevator door opens and Fancy and Bo walks in as Lacey hugs her Parents, as Bo asks his Daughter "Let's go have a nice lunch downtown at that new restaurant, Thayer's." Fancy quips "I'm spying on the competition." Lacey tells her Mother "Uncle Ricky's visiting with Paul if you wanna go in." Fancy heads inside, as Lacey quips "Watch out Janet.." In Paul's office, Ricky tells Paul "It's getting to be too much helping my Daddy, and my Brother is killing him and Mama." Fancy walks in as Ricky sees his Sister, and they hug, and warns Paul in a joking tone "Now my Husband's here so you know." Paul laughs "My Mother isn't here. She's been quiet today." Ricky goes "Same for my Mama and Daddy." In the lobby, Lacey asks her Father "So what's the scoop about Adam Lord. My friend Courtney told me about him." Bo laughs "Honey, Ms.Hall told me to keep my mouth shut but ask your Granny. She'll spill." Lacey goes "I haven't heard from her today." Back in Paul's office, Ricky and Fancy gets a text from their Mother, and rushes out, as Fancy tells her Husband and Daughter "Elizabeth's been raped." They head to the hospital.

    Meanwhile at Hall Manor, Natalie storms inside, as she throws a vase across the room, as Anna rushes out, and Natalie cries "Not good sweet girl!" Anna gets nervous, and asks "Jeff?" Natalie goes "Elsie just informed me Elizabeth's been raped." Anna goes "By who Mama?" Natalie answers "They don't know but my bet's on Danny." Anna agrees, and Natalie tells her in a serious tone "I don't know how to tell Adam about this. He was emotional when I visited earlier." Anna asks "How is he liking things?" Natalie is quiet and takes a deep breath as Anna sighs with sympathy "Poor boy. I want to meet him. I think he and Jeff will become great friends." Natalie answers "Me too Anna.", as Natalie hugs her Daughter, with worry in her eyes," At Ed and Ella's home, Jake and his fiancee, Stephanie Chase sits outside, overlooking Indian Point Lake, as Ella brings out sweet tea, and tells them "The Sullivan Journal called and needs an editor." Jake tells his Mother "One, the meal was amazing. Perfect lunch! Two, do it. I know you've missed your days working in media. Being on WSVN as an anchor." Ella sighs "Well I do actually, and it'd be a distraction from worrying about Mama and the deal with Adam." Ella answers "I feel the connection, but wish Mama would let me in." Jake quips "She called me this morning and invited me to see Jeff tomorrow. She and Aunt Anna's going to spoil him she said." Ella goes "Ed can say all he wants, but what I hear, sounds like Mama is just fine, except for her hurting for Daddy. " Stephanie meanwhile looks at her phone, and hands it to them, as all gasp, as Ella goes in a shocked tone "Poor Elsie!" Stephanie tells them "I'm a nurse at Park Lane, so I'll find out more tonight. She's in my unit unless she's released sooner." They all hold hands and pray.

     Meanwhile at the Broward Mansion, Caroline sits in the living room, as she is in deep thought, as the doorbell rings, and she answers to find her Granddaughter on the other end. Caroline embraces Bess in a hug, and asks "What's wrong?" Bess answers "Grandmother you know that answer, you hate her, and I wish Aunt Anna could've been my Mom!" Caroline holds her, and sighs "I know honey." Caroline gets a text, and Bess asks "Elizabeth?" Caroline nods, as she asks "Wanna meet your Brother?" Bess nods, as they head to Hall Enterprises. At Paul and Trisha's apartment, Trisha drinks from her glass of liquor and paces the floor, as she has flashbacks, and calls her Husband to no answer. She then calls her Mother, and hears "This number is..", and screams "Damnit!" Down at Hall Enterprises, Adam is at his desk, as he checks his phone, and pulls out his pistol, calmly walking to Ed's office." Adam stands outside the door, as he listens intently, as Ed is on the phone, laughing as he and Janet recall their visit earlier at the motel. Adam is silent, as he reflects on his information from his Grandmother, and heads to the elevator, adjusting his tie along the way.

     Back at Park Lane Medical Center, Elsie and Tom are greeted by hugs, as Fancy, Bo, Lacey, and Ricky all arrive, and Fancy asks "Where's Karen and Danny?" Elsie tells Fancy "I'm keeping her updated, and worried.." Ricky asks his Parents "Are you hinting that..." Tom cries "Son, he's capable of anything and if he did, what do I do?" Fancy snaps "Time for his ass to go to jail! Chief King wants him in a cell, let him!" Ricky, Lacey, and Bo agree, as Elsie goes "I agree too Tom." Tom sighs "Someone call the son of a bitch then. For Karen, and Elizabeth." Ricky gets a call from his Wife, and walks outside, as Elsie reflects on what she knows, as she gets a text from Natalie." In the ER, a nurse asks Elizabeth "Would you like your family to come in." Elizabeth cries uncontrollably. At Smallwood Farm, Karen walks out of the bathroom in tears, as Danny walks inside and Karen glares at her Husband, as he's drugged and walks to the couch and lays down and goes "Leave me alone if you want to keep that dope." Karen, in a fearful tone answers "My medicine Danny," Danny answers "Just what you should do as a Wife, pretend and they'll give ya what ya want." Karen returns to the bedroom, as Danny watches TV. In the bedroom, Karen gets an update, and feels faint.

     At Hall Manor, Robert King's Oldest Daughter, Wylene King, and her Mother, Lena King arrive, as Anna greets them, and tells Wylene "Mama's upset. She needs you to calm her before she does something." Wylene heads into the den, as Anna asks Lena "How was Jamaica?" Lena laughs "Wonderful teacher retiree vacation. But can't tell Chief anything. He might lock me up!" Anna laughs, as they hug. In the den, Natalie tells her therapist "Elizabeth Travis is my Grandson's Daughter. She's been raped and I have nothing to lose now that James is dead." Natalie pulls out a pistol, as Wylene goes "Stop it Mrs. Natalie! You are not killing anybody! Let's think of time you would lose not getting to know Adam and enjoying Jeff when he arrives." Natalie sighs with a serious tone "Adam has enough pain, Elizabeth's life is pure hell. Thank God for Elsie and Tom! But its time I help her heal. Killing the bastard would do that." Wylene sighs "Danny Smallwood is a worthless piece of shit I admit, but want Chief to lock you up?" Natalie grins and goes "He would thank me."

     At Jake's Loft in Downtown Sullivan, Jake tells his fiancee "Thank you for staying quiet about Dad. I'm sick of him!" Stephanie hugs Jake and kisses him, and goes "Talk to your Gram, and he's gonna slip.." Jake finishes "And my Mom will go mad!" At Hall Enterprises, an employee informs Ed "Mr. Lord left." Ed goes "Excellent." Ed makes a phone call to Janet, but to no answer." At Broward Inc, Paul sits in his office as Ford tells him of his visit with Adam, and warns his Son "He's had a lot thrown on him at once. Natalie and my Mama isn't helping either, and it's driving Trisha back to the booze again at the level I warned her would be it." Janet storms inside, and yells "This is a work environment, and family problems are for home." Ford leaves with disgust, as Paul gets furious and yells "Don't EVER do that again or I'll mess your ass up!" Janet quips "And your Mama would just defend me. She is on my side." Paul asks, in an angry tone "Tell me what the hell you're plotting bitch? Think I don't know about you and Ed's little friendship. Well I know people too and does ol' Ricky know?" Janet boldly warns Paul "Start thinking of something new because when Ed and I merge Hall and Broward, you are finished!" Paul gets up, and answers "Try it and it'll be the worst mistake in your miserable life you narcissistic bitch." Janet storms out, as Paul sends a text.

     At Ed and Ella's Home, Ella drinks a glass of wine, as the doorbell rings. She answers as Anna stands on the other end. Anna tells her Sister "Ok time to talk." They walk into the living room." At Hall Manor, Wylene and Lena keeps Natalie company as she insists "Look I'm not going to leave and commit a murder spree, I owe it to my Daughter, and Adam!"Lena and Wylene assures her, as Lena sends her Husband a text "Everything will work out." At Hall Enterprises, Caroline and Bess stop at the desk, as Adam's secretary tells them "Mr. Lord isn't here." At Park Lane Medical Center, Bo and Lacey talk in the waiting area, as Ricky and Fancy talk amongst themselves. A nurse allows Elsie to walk inside, as Elizabeth is in the triage, and has taken a sedative. In an empty triage, Adam puts on a surgeon's gown, with a bouquet of lilies, as he walks towards Elizabeth's room in the ER. Elsie walks inside, and hugs Elizabeth, as Elizabeth cries "I want my Mom!" Elsie gently says "She is getting worse. It wasn't a good day." They hold each other, as outside Adam listens, and tears roll from his eyes and walks back and whispers "You're safe now baby. Daddy's here."

 


 

   

 

   

   


 

   

Change Of Season: Episode 4. The Downward Spiral

      It's the next morning, and the Hall family are getting over the shock from the night before. At Hall Manor, Natalie smokes a cigarette, and says to herself "Damage control." At Ed and Ella's Home, Ella tells her Husband "I'm going down there with you.." Ed snaps "I'll meet him first." Ella warns him "I think.." Ed snaps "Shut up!" as he heads to Hall Enterprises angrily, and Ella grabs her keys and follows. At Paul and Trisha's apartment, Trisha is quiet, as she has a thought and calls Anna, to no answer, as she sighs "Mom's about to take all this out on me." as she is scared." Anna meanwhile sits in her Mansion in Downtown Sullivan, and tells her Son on the phone "Mom's getting revenge, and luckily I'm safe from the fire " Anna's Son, Jeff, in Los Angeles, asks "Do I need to come home?" Anna answers "Yes." Meanwhile at Hall Enterprises, Adam sits in his office, as he awaits Ed's arrival, reading from a folder.

   At Smallwood Farm, Ricky arrives, as Tom and Elsie drink coffee, and Elsie tells him "I have the day off. So I'm gonna be busy around here." Tom reminds his Wife "So how should we deal with our guests?" Elsie tells her Husband bluntly "Karen needs to be here. You know that. We just need to keep Danny in line, and if I see him do anything to Elizabeth, I'm kicking his ass." Ricky is silent, as Tom tells him "Let's go outside, and you tell me my profits." They walk outside, as Karen walks into the kitchen and tells her "Danny is off and Elizabeth never came home. I'm ready when you are." Elsie and Karen leave.

    At The Flamingo, Elizabeth wakes up in a small room upstairs, as Danny is inside and yells "I want more of my profit or you know how it'll work!" Elizabeth yells "Bastard I am tired of you, and I'm tired of this! Mom needs me, and we're getting away from you, or you can leave!" Danny walks over to his Step-Daughter, and warns coldly "Know I can make you do anything!" as he gropes her. Outside, The police drives by slowly, coming to a stop.

    Back at Hall Enterprises, Adam sits inside his office, as Ed arrives, and Adam is silent as Ed walks inside and asks him "Who in the hell do you think you are?" Adam responds "Your new boss, Mr. Lord." Ella arrives, as Ed rolls his eyes, and Ella walks inside and asks "Are you my Sister's child?" Adam nods, and tells Ed "Your belongings are moved, you now answer to me." Ella asks her Nephew "What do you plan to do with Hall Enterprises?" Adam answers "It's my legacy, and calling. Now excuse me as I continue to read reports and pick up on events." Ella walks out, as Ed warns Adam "Natalie made a mistake and I will fix it." Adam warns "Don't pick a fight that'd destroy you. I got all I need." Ed looks at Adam, and coldly tells him "You don't scare me Lord. You sure as hell ain't James Hall. And.." Adam stops Ed and boldly answers "I am not him, and you just know when you wanna play with me, you are getting burned. Your worst nightmare has come to life so I would say to you to go fix up your new office before I fire your ass!" Ed walks out, and makes a phone call, as Adam watches security footage, with anger in his eyes.

    At Broward Inc, Paul arrives, as Lacey sits at her desk and goes "Your Mother is waiting for you." Paul rolls his eyes, as he walks in and Caroline asks her Son "Paul, so what are your plans regarding your Son?" Paul takes a deep sigh and warns his Mother "Mother, knowing that Natalie has told him about my past with Sarah, its likely he will hate me and I have two children with Trisha." Caroline yells "Paul I warned you years ago that the past will be the present, and well here it is! I want a relationship with him and.." Paul asks "What if he is nothing but a con-artist? We all know Natalie hasn't been herself since James died!" Caroline snaps "Son, she is smarter than you or your whore give credit to her for. She has searched for him a long time." Lacey walks inside the office, as she tells them "Trisha's here." Paul looks at his Mother, as Caroline goes "This is my company and I shall stay for this." Lacey walks out, as Trisha walks inside, as Caroline asks her Daughter In Law "Have you called Ford and Bess about their Brother?" Trisha snarls "Why don't you get a hobby or just go see my senile Mother and.." Caroline slaps Trisha in the face, as Paul gasps, and Trisha yells "Bitch! That's all I'm taking from you!" Caroline looks at her Son, and tells Paul "I am meeting my Grandson, and I shall be telling Ford and Bess of him." Trisha boldly tells her "I don't want him in their life!" Caroline glares at Trisha, as Paul goes "Mother you need to leave." Caroline snaps back at Paul "Son, I see you are truly whipped." Caroline walks up to Trisha, and asks "Think about a cell. I'm going to the Village Inn and meeting Chief." Caroline storms out, as Trisha looks at her Husband, as Paul tells his Wife "Well it's gonna come out either way." Trisha hugs him, and says "I'm calling Bess, and we'll all meet up at The Crown to tell our children before Caroline or my Mama has a chance."

     At The Village Inn, a popular restaurant in Sullivan, Natalie sits at a table, as Police Commissioner, Robert "Chief" King arrives and quips "Look who has ventured down from her manor." Natalie laughs "Well Chief, I am happy now that James' legacy is in good hands and I found Sarah's Son." Robert sighs "Well that's one hell of a cold case. Bo told me about it last night." Natalie asks Robert "So now that you know, I need to know how to get justice for her." Robert asks "Natalie, what if Sarah's alive? Have you.." Natalie goes "My favorite child died. She left this town pregnant and brokenhearted. I kept my quiet for years and your Daughter's top patient. Now I am free to go after the one I wish was gone." Robert goes "Now Natalie you don't mean that." Natalie quickly goes "Hell yes I do!" Robert gets a text, as he goes "Well looks like I won't be able to watch Danny Smallwood due to this new addition to your family." Natalie goes "Caroline?" Robert nods, as Natalie gets up and tells Robert "I'll handle her. You just do some thinking and help me out. I want my Sarah to have some peace wherever she is." Natalie leaves, as Robert replies to Caroline, going "Talk to Natalie."

    At The Mansion, Elsie and Karen arrives, as Fancy hugs her Mother, as Karen tells them "Each time seems worse." Elsie sighs "Like I told you. Keep fighting. Elizabeth needs you." Fancy tells them "Chief King came by and said he's watching Danny." Elsie rolls her eyes, as Karen looks at Fancy, and cries "He is going to kill her." Fancy quips "What can I say? My Brother's always been a sorry piece of shit." Elsie snaps at her Daughter "We know that! I failed as a Mama with him!" Fancy puts her arms around her Mother, and whispers looking at Karen "At least one came out ok and Ricky if he leaves that bitch that thinks she's going to control him." At Smallwood Farm, Tom and Ricky walks in the kitchen, as Danny sits inside and drinks a glass of liquor, and in a drunken tone, looks at his Father and Brother, and snaps "I'm killing that whore!" Tom laughs "Looks like you got your ass tore up. Danny jumps up and grabs his Father, snarling "This is what you wanted Daddy. You don't have what I do!" Ricky breaks them up, as Tom warns "Ever try me again like that and I will kill you!' Danny heads to his bedroom, as Ricky asks his Father "At your age and Mama, he's gonna kill one of you here." Tom answers, wiping blood "Wasn't for Karen, his ass would've been kicked out."

    In Downtown Sullivan, at Jake's law firm, Ed sits inside his Son's office, yelling "Jake I know you can get this con out of Hall! I also know another option." Jake stands and warns "I am not about to pick sides in this Dad! And Mom will leave you for good. Why you think my Sis left town? You Dad." Remember when you did this to Grandpa Hall?" Ed snaps "Son I was innocent!" Jake yells "Take your ass and get out of here. And find another lawyer. Gram would be happy!" Ed storms out to the elevator, as Jake watches, and once Ed's on the elevator, Jake walks into his office, and makes a phone call." At Hall Manor, Ella rings the doorbell, and yells "Mama! Open the door!" Anna greets her Mother and smiles "Mama's on an adventure." Ella rolls her eyes and asks "Can we even trust her Sis?" Anna and Ella walks into the den, as Anna asks her Sister "So how was the visit with Adam? Ella tells her "He does favor our side. But it makes me wonder about Sarah? Trisha and Paul broke her and left town pregnant and only Mama and Daddy had contact." Anna goes "I did also.." Ella continues "Ever wondered if she might be alive?" Anna answers "I'd like to say so, but Mama wouldn't be this insistent with her war with our little Sister." Ella shrugs "True." She asks "And why are you here when she's gone Anna?" Anna smiles "I'm fixing up Jeff's guest room. He is going to stay here since he's returning home and helping Adam." Ella smiles "Wonderful news. Can't wait to tell Jake and Erica."

    Meanwhile at The Mansion, Adam sits at a table, as he tells a waitress his order, as he hears a voice, as near him sits Elsie, Fancy, Karen, and Elizabeth, and has a flashback as he goes in a tone of shone "I don't believe it." At The Crown, Paul and Trisha drink, as their Son, Ford, and Daughter, Bess Broward arrive, as Paul looks at his children, and tells them "Before I met Trisha, I had a Son with another Woman. That's the truth and anyone who says to you otherwise is a damn lying piece of shit!" Bess quips "What about Gram and Grandma?" Trisha laughs "We should place them in a home." Paul rolls his eyes, as Ford asks his Father "Is my Brother the one Gram put in charge of Hall Enterprises?" Trisha nods, and goes "Now remember he might be a con.." Bess tells them "I want to meet him. He needs family." Trisha goes "And I forbid it!" Ford goes "I'll feel him out!" Ford walks out, as Paul tells his Wife and Daughter "Time to return to my office, and hopefully some peace." Paul leaves, as Bess tells her Mother "Gram told me about Sarah, and the two of you.." Trisha snaps "Never speak of that again!"

    Back at Hall Enterprises, Natalie walks inside her Grandson's office, and looks around and sees her Husband's portrait behind Adam's desk. Tears form in her eyes, as she walks towards the portrait and touches it and says with a peace in her voice "Papa, this company is safe." The door opens, as Adam walks inside, and Natalie asks "I thought you were at lunch?" Adam goes "Can't eat. Don't wish to discuss it." Natalie takes a seat, and gently says "I'm your Mamaw, talk to me." Adam shares what he overheard at The Mansion, as Natalie lights a cigarette, and sighs "Yes she is suffering. On all fronts. But that Elizabeth has..." Adam snaps "I know she is! Karen left town and moved here and just how am I going to protect her?" Natalie tells him "One call to Mr. Chief and that'll be solved." Adam stands, and says "Mamaw look at the security footage." Natalie walks over and her jaw drops, as she goes "James and I never liked that bastard. Only Daughter of mine that married anyone good was Anna. But he was killed when Jeff was a baby, and she raised him as a single mom." Adam asks "Well what should we do?" Natalie is quiet, and goes in a suspicious tone "Do what's best. I am good about staying silent, but he's paying for this." Adam nods in agreement, as Natalie kisses Adam on the forehead, and goes "Whatever you want to do I support. Now I must leave and consider my move." Natalie leaves, as Adam watches the footage again, and makes a phone call.

     At Hall Manor, Anna works in the guest room, as her Sister helps, as Ella asks "If Jeff is staying here, think Mama's opening her doors to us again?" Anna answers "No. We know Jeff is her favorite, same for Adam." Ella sighs with sadness "I wish I knew why Mama doesn't trust me." Anna answers "Your Husband." Ella snaps "Ed is a good man! And he should have taken over Hall!" Anna takes a deep breath, and warns "Ed is a snake Ella. You can't pull them blinders off to see that. And his time of reckoning is coming." Ella looks at her Sister, and tells her "I trust him, and will stand by him because we made vows." Anna quips "Suit yourself, but you're gonna be hurt." Ella leaves, as she has a flashback, and closes her eyes for a second as she says to herself "Oh I hope you are wrong Anna."

    At Smallwood Farm, Elsie and Karen return, as Tom asks his Wife and Daughter In Law "How did it go?" Both get emotional, as Tom says in a despondent tone "Oh no." Elsie tells Karen "Go get some rest before Danny returns. We'll take care of you." Elsie and Tom hugs her, as she cries "My Daughter will be alone without me.." Elsie answers "Just go rest. We'll take it from here." In Downtown Sullivan, Caroline's headed to Hall Enterprises, as a body's in the road, beaten up as she stops and gets out of the car and rushes to their aid. Caroline picks up a heartbeat, and asks "Are you awake?" The woman looks at Caroline, as Caroline goes "Elizabeth..." Caroline calls 911. At Broward Inc, Paul is in his office, as he has flashbacks, and pours himself a drink. At Paul and Trisha's apartment, Trisha paces the floor as fear grows in her eyes. In a room at the Dixie Motor Lodge, Ed sits as a woman walks out of the bathroom, and smiles "So good you came around". Ed tells Janet "The two of us will own Sullivan" Janet takes Ed's clothes off, as they begin to have sex. Back at Hall Enterprises, Bo arrives as Adam hands over footage, as his eyes widen, and goes "I'm on it. Never liked the son of a bitch anyway." Adam replies in a cold tone, pulling out a pistol "Time he learns who's the new boss in this town, and he will pay!

 



 

 

   

 

 

Change Of Season: Episode 3. Breaking Out Of The Shell

   Night as arrived in the city of Sullivan, and at Hall Manor, Natalie sits in her room, as Caroline and Elsie are inside, and Caroline tells her "Are we not feeling so bold, or are you plotting?" Natalie tells them "I made my decision, and spent many years looking for my sweet girl's Son. I owe him, and he knows struggle, unlike my Son In Law." Elsie takes a deep breath, as Caroline tells Elsie "Maybe you go greet the family while we speak privately." Elsie walks out and under her breath says "Kiss my ass bitch." Natalie warns Caroline "Let me do all the talking and if you behave, I'll let you have at it with your lovely Daughter.." Caroline goes "Trisha is all yours. Don't dare tempt me." At Ed and Ella's Home, Ed arrives, as Ella looks at him, and asks "Looks like you've had a rough day. I wish I could say the same for tonight." Ed smiles "Tonight I take over Hall Enterprises." Ella warns "Don't start with that. Daddy told me I would be the boss before you. Wanted someone related." Ed answers
"Natalie would be crazy not to give me James' office." Ella warns "Just let her bring it up. At Paul and Trisha's Apartment, Paul sits in the living room, as he takes a drink, and yells at his Wife "It's time to go into Natalie's Inferno. Well, depending on her new attitude from what Mama told me." Trisha walks in and goes "The kids won't be there. Just me and my Sisters, and Ed." Paul sighs "Sounds like she got something to say." Trisha answers "Yes baby. Classic Mama." Back at Hall Manor, Natalie walks around, on the phone with Adam, and tells him "Move on in. And rest up." as Caroline and Elsie sits in the den, and Caroline asks "Aren't you supposed to be working. I am amazed you can walk." Elsie slurs "My ride's coming and I have to see my family. We didn't get it good like you did." Lacey delivers a honk, as Elsie waves at Caroline, as she heads home, as Anna arrives, and Caroline greets her, and they walk into the dining room.

     At The Crept Myrtle, Adam settles in and sits at the bar, as Courtney arrives, and sits and asks him "I've never seen you around here." Adam quickly goes "I'm about to be well known. A few drinks before the work begins and I meet my long lost.. sorry." Courtney tells him "My family are from up east, and I rarely get back." Adam goes "Sorry for opening up like that. I just have a loss to take in with mine." They talk as they have a few drinks, and she tells him "We are neighbors. You need a friend." Adam goes "Thank you Courtney." Courtney heads to her suite, as Adam orders another drink and has a flashback, with anger in his eyes.

   Back at the Smallwood Farm, Tom returns, as Danny sits in the living room, in a hurry, as he counts cash, as Tom warns his Son "You are going to get her killed! You are a selfish ass son of a bitch." Danny laughs "Well Pop, guess I got it from you. You never knew how to be faithful to my Mama." Tom sighs "I can't wait till you, Karen, and that stripping granddaughter move out." Danny answers "We will when I make enough for a loft downtown. This would work better, and Karen wouldn't piss off Mama as much." Tom answers "Well she's on her way home, so why don't you go to bed with Karen, and let your Mama wind down. It'd be wise." Danny is quiet, and heads off, as he enters Karen's room, and she wakes and asks "Where have you.." Danny answers in a hateful tone "Making that whore of yours a success, so take a pill and go back to sleep."

   Meanwhile at Hall Manor, Anna and Caroline, sits as Natalie walks in and hugs her Daughter, and asks "Where's Elsie?" Caroline snarks "Had to go put out a fight somewhere." Natalie rolls her eyes, as Anna asks her Mother "Are you ready for a big event like this, you are so private since Daddy died." Natalie goes "I have some things to set straight, so I want to get this over and move on with my life and know James and I's legacy is safe." Anna looks confused, as Ella and Ed arrive, as Caroline greets them and Natalie walks into the dining room, and Ella asks her Mother "I see this one's got the makings of past events when Daddy..." Natalie warns her "Don't bring up the past. I am now who I am, and leave me be until the other child and spouse arrive." Ella snaps "Since Daddy died, you have became reclusive, and Ed has kept the company together, and I do know business." Natalie snarls, growing ill with her Oldest Daughter "I will discuss that over dinner. Go tend to your Husband while you have one." Natalie lights a cigarette and walks away, as Ella walks into the den, as Ed stands up, and Ella asks Caroline "What is she planning? She's like a zombie and acts like she hates me." Anna laughs "I am her favorite. She does keep in touch with me." Ella tells her Sister "You do whatever she orders. She likes those types." Paul and Trisha arrives, as everyone heads to the Dining Room, where dinner is set, and Natalie looks at everyone and goes "Time for a family dinner and some news.", making Ella, Ed, and Trisha curious and concerned.

     In Adam's Suite at The Crept Myrtle, Adam's in his suite, as he has flashbacks, and walks over to the side of the room and takes a drink, as he says to himself "I'm about to have some answers and make them pay." Meanwhile at Smallwood Farm, Karen and Danny argue, as Tom yells from the living room "Both of you shut the hell up! I'm sick of this shit!" In their room, Karen yells at her Husband "You'd be angry and ready to kill if someone was pimping your Daughter Paige!" Danny snaps "I'd use her too! I need money!" Karen yells "Well I want something at this point and a home." Danny slaps his Wife,  and coldly answers "I control you bitch. Remember that! Danny laughs "At least your whore and I aren't incest." Danny walks back into the living room, leaving pain in Karen's eyes. Tom warns his Son, as Elsie walks in "Don't let me hear that again you piece of shit." Danny walks outside, as Elsie quips "Same as last time he came home?" Tom nods, as they kiss, and head to the bedroom as they call it a night.


    Back at Hall Manor, dinner is underway, as Ella and Trisha asks their Mother "So what have you decided to do?" Caroline and Anna are silent, as Paul and Ed listen, as Natalie goes "One thing certain, not to anybody in this room. Its a surprise." Everyone is quiet, as Ed tells his Mother In Law "I was promised CEO if anything happened to James!" Natalie laughs "I do not trust you. I have reason. But your Wife and my Daughter who still believes in fairy tales knew what I did.." Ella warns her Mother "Don't go there." Trisha asks "So who is now in charge?" Natalie looks at everyone, and yells "My Grandson. I found him, and he starts now." Everyone is in shock except Caroline, as Paul looks at Trisha, as Natalie tells them "I have searched for years, and now found him and he knows his story. I told him everything." Trisha yells "You old senile bitch!" Paul says to himself "Oh shit." Paul asks "What kind of person is he Natalie?" Natalie tells everyone "Who James and I would prefer running our legacy." Ed asks "Am I fired?" Natalie tells him "Ask Mr. Lord in the morning dirtbag." Dinner concludes in silence, with all except Natalie and Caroline in a shocked, betrayed state.


     Natalie walks into the living room, as she yells at her Daughters and Son In Laws "To shut all of you up, I'll let him decide when he wants to meet you, but he isn't as friendly as me. Well to one in here, very thanks to Daddy." Trisha warns her "Mama, I know you never forgave me, now Daddy's dead and you go find a person you think's your Grandson." Paul pushes his Wife on, as Caroline tells her Son "Talk to you tomorrow at your office." Ed storms out, as Ella goes "I'm going to meet him." Natalie warns "He'll know." Anna hugs her Mother, and goes "I'll go down tomorrow. I know Bo Jennings's record works, and he wouldn't be here otherwise." Natalie hugs her, as she leaves and Natalie closes the door, and tells Caroline "Now what's your plan?" Caroline asks "Did you tell him of our children's past?" Natalie nods "Sarah told him. I confirmed it." Caroline warns "I don't like your plan and I am scared you ruined a relationship for me possibly." Natalie assures her "Look, he knows about you, but I told him you come off as a snob." Caroline laughs "Look who's talking!" They hug each other, as she also leaves, as Natalie looks around, and turns out the lights for the night." At Hall Enterprises, Adam walks into the security office, and watches video, as he yawns.
 

 

   

   

Change Of Season: Episode 2. Secrets And Divisons

    At Hall Manor, Natalie is silent, as she stares at the person on the other side, and is speechless. The man asks "Well are you going to invite me in?" Natalie nods, and gasps "You so much favor James. Got my sweet Sarah's hair, and my eyes." The man has a flashback, and asks "Why did you wait so long to find me?" Natalie holds his hand tightly, and goes "Because after that guy took you away after Sarah's death James and I could never find you. But now I have and so proud." They walk to the den, as he tells her "I have changed my name and worked my way to the top with whatever it takes." Natalie smiles, as she asks though she knows "What is your new name?" He answers "Adam Lord." Natalie asks "Can I hug you Adam?" Adam asks back, opening his arms, fighting tears "Can I call you Grandmother?" Natalie goes "Just call me Mamaw Adam. You are home." They embrace in a tearful reunion, as Anna walks up the walkway, and rings the doorbell. Elsie stands in the hallway, watching the reunion and heads to the door and quietly opens it and tells Anna "Come back tonight. She's asleep." Anna walks away, as she peers into the window to the den, and gasps.

    On the outskirts of Sullivan is the Smallwood Farm, owned by Tom Smallwood, and in Tom and Elsie's Farmhouse, Tom walks inside as Karen is in the kitchen, and Tom asks his Daughter In Law "Where in the hell is Danny?" Karen tells him "Tom, I don't know. He's been gone a few days." Tom snarls with anger, as he gets himself a beer "That Son doesn't treat you right Karen. I don't know why you put up with his sorry ass." Karen answers "Me either. Now what do you want me to cook?" Tom gets a phone call, as he answers and its his and Elsie's Oldest Son and child, Ricky Smallwood, telling his Father "Come meet Janet and me in town tonight for dinner. Fancy just sent me a text and told me Mama's gonna be late." Tom tells his Son "Where at?" Ricky answers "Just come to The Mansion. You know Fancy always makes sure you get everything free, well all of us except my Wife." Tom laughs and goes "I will and bring Karen since Danny's run away again." Ricky goes "Alright Daddy. Love you and see you soon." Tom hangs up, and tells his Daughter In Law "Well plans changed and we're going down to Fancy's restaurant for dinner. Invite Elizabeth." Karen sighs "I would but she's working." Tom rolls his eyes. On the edge of Sullivan is a strip club called "The Flamingo", where Karen's Daughter, Elizabeth Travis dances around a pole, as men sit around, throwing money at her and yelling with excitement, as she takes off her top, and throws it into the audience. Outside, Danny Smallwood, Tom and Elsie's youngest Son, stands outside with his eyes glazed, as someone approaches him and money is exchanged.

     At The Broward Mansion, Caroline sits back, as she has a glass of water as the doorbell rings, as she goes to answer to find her Grandson, Ford Broward, Paul and Trisha's youngest Son at the door, as they exchange a hug and Caroline asks him "Well what have you decided?" Ford looks at his Grandmother, and goes "I feel torn Grandma. Mom wants me to work for Hall Enterprises, and you have made me an offer also. I also got a degree and planning to teach soon at the Sullivan University.." Caroline smiles, as she tells Ford "My Father taught there for many years. Highly respected professor he surely was. I understand about you being torn. Go take that job instead." Ford asks "Have you heard from Gram? I called her earlier but no answer as usual since Grandpa Hall passed away." Caroline sighs "I am worried about her Ford. But she is holding well, just needs time to adjust to life without the one she loved." Ford gets a text, and goes "That's the University, guess now I have my answer and thank you." Caroline hugs him, and tells her Grandson "Make me proud now." Ford nods, as he leaves, and Caroline walks into her study, as she gets a text from Anna, and ignores it, as she is silent and goes "I'm going over there!" Caroline heads over to Hall Manor, as she says to herself "Elsie knows better than to keep me away!"

    Meanwhile at The Crown, Paul meets with Trisha, as Paul tells his Wife "I needed a distraction from the bitch Mama insists I keep down there." Trisha orders another round of drinks, as she tells her Husband "I have blown my Mama's phone up about the dinner but no answer from her." Paul sighs "She's fine Trisha. And you know already she isn't going to let you run Hall Enterprises." Trisha snarks "She'd let Anna before or even Danny Smallwood before she considered me. I don't know why but she always has had it out for me." Paul rolls his eyes, and goes "Remember how we got together and the outcome?" Trisha yells "Damnit Paul I want to forget the past!" Paul yells back "I do too but neither one of our Mothers will ever forget and they will keep reminding us until they join our Dads one day!" Trisha takes a drink, as she goes "I have a feeling Ed will be running the show after tonight's family dinner." Paul goes "She might pick our Son to call the shots. Ford is capable of it, and I know he's being scouted now by Mama for a role at Broward, and if he does, Janet Morris is out of there!" Trisha quips "You hate her don't you?" Paul takes a drink, and quips "Oh hell yes I do! She feels like she is the boss, and even made Ricky quit to control him. Their Son left town to get away from her crazy ass." Trisha goes "Elsie's family all are crazy." The waiter comes over, as they have lunch together.

    Back at Hall Manor, Natalie and Adam sits in the office, as she sighs "Well I have given you the information you need and tonight take a look around and make yourself comfortable. I'll do my part, and you get some rest. You are safe my boy." Adam asks his Grandmother "Why do I feel like you are keeping a few things from me?" Natalie answers "Because its not time yet to reveal them. Let me have this dinner with the family tonight, then I shall share more." The doorbell rings, as Natalie hears Elsie yell "Damnit she said.." Caroline storms inside, as she yells for Natalie, as Natalie tells Adam "Escape through the back. I'll brief her. She's your other Grandmother and I need to talk to her privately." Adam and Natalie hugs, as he leaves, and Natalie walks into the living room as Caroline snaps "Anna called me! Where is my Grandson Natalie? You aren't keeping him from me!" Natalie takes a deep breath, and goes "I wanted to spend some time with him before he met you. And I didn't know my Daughters are spying on me. Bitches." Caroline gasps, and goes "I thought you liked Anna?" Natalie sighs "I do but she never can keep her mouth shut. This is proof." Caroline looks at her best friend, and in a serious tone, tells her "We are in this together and he's our legacy. And we need to brace ourselves for the war to come." In the kitchen, Elsie sits, as she listens, and has a flashback, and pulls out a photo in her purse, and has a thought.

 

    At Ed and Ella's Home, located in Indian Point, Ella is reading, as the doorbell rings, and Ella walks up to answer, as her Sister walks inside, and tells her Sister "Mama had a visitor. Elsie ran me off when I went by to check on her." Ella takes a deep breath, and asks "Who was the visitor?" Anna goes "I don't know. He looks to be somewhere in his 40s, and didn't want anybody around." Ella and Anna walks into the living room, as Ella asks her Sister point blank "What has our Mother been plotting since she talks to you? She has decisions to make with Hall Enterprises, and Ed is ready to take over the company." Anna reminds her "I have a Son also Ella who is capable of taking over. Jeff moved to L.A. to run Hall's division out there." Ella goes "You're right, and don't forget Ford. And what if she chose Erica or Bess.." Anna hisses "Bess is a whore Ella. Mama has no use for her, and same for Trisha when you really think of it." Ella goes "Well Jake has his law firm and has no interest in the company and I guess we'll find out tonight what's going on. I'll find out what she's plotting." Anna warns "You know how she is when confronted.." Ella quickly responds "If I don't, then you know damn well Ed will and it's best we don't discuss this further unless she provides the information at dinner." Anna agrees, as Ella walks over and pours them a glass of wine.

     At The Mansion, Fancy sits at the bar, and glares over at the table, where Janet says in a snobby tone to a waitress "Make another call to my damn Husband?" Fancy walks over and warns her "Must I remind you that this isn't home?" Tom, Ricky, and Karen arrives as Fancy hugs her Father and Brother and whispers "I normally donate her cash." They share a laugh as Fancy tells her family "I will take care of this table and all of you are cut off the booze in my restaurant unless Mama shows up." Janet rolls her eyes, as Tom sighs "Damn when I called her, she sounded trashed, told her not to drive home." Fancy tells them "Mama isn't coming. She's helping Natalie with her dinner tonight and I'm sure it's going to be something else. I told Lacey not to worry about her likely knowing that's going to make her stay all night." Tom goes "I wish she'd quit that job. Being a damn maid." Ricky tells his Father "Daddy, she enjoys it and Natalie is good to her." Janet tells them "I'd like to have that company of hers. Been told over drinks she may sell." Tom warns her "Natalie isn't someone you want to piss off. Think we are crazy, you don't know her. She always keeps a low profile and Elsie and her, and even that bitch Caroline, go way back, trust me on that one!" Fancy warns as she returns "Well Caroline can go to hell, and Natalie has kept Bo busy, he should be here shortly. Janet rolls her eyes, and tells her Husband "Ricky Smallwood, I hate your family." Ricky laughs back "They feel the same for you, double for Mama!"


    At The Crown, Ford gets a drink, as Courtney Cooke, a local professor at the college arrives and asks "Made a choice yet? You know what I think..." Ford sighs "I feel pulled in so many directions, I feel like I need to fight for my Grandpa Hall, and take that over from my Uncle. He has many skeletons, but I also want to teach. I have no idea right now. Just a stiff drink." The bartender comes over, as Ford and Courtney order drinks. At Broward Inc, Paul returns, as Lacey awaits and smiles "The bitch is gone right now." Paul takes a sigh of relief as he heads to his office, and has a flashback. At Paul and Trisha's apartment, Trisha makes a phone call to no answer, as she drinks and checks her clock, as she says to herself "This dinner feels strange. Dark.." with fear in her voice, as she shakes the glass of whiskey. At Hall Manor, Elsie sets the dining room up, as Natalie helps and tells her "I can take it from here." Elsie goes "The hell you can with that announcement about to blow everything up, and where is your newfound heir?" Natalie smiles "Off to see his new office. With all I know, Ed's been "around the block". I know more but can't tell you because I know you too well." Elsie snarls "Elizabeth!" In the living room, Caroline walks around, as she attempts to call Ford, but to no answer. Meanwhile at The Flamingo, Danny and Teddy King, the owner, sits inside his office, as Danny tells him "Yeah she's as cheap as her Mama. And this helps out." Teddy laughs "Quite popular with Ed Banks." Danny smiles "And she can clean him dry and know who gets the right percent!" Outside, in the back seat of Ed's limo, Ed and Elizabeth has sex, and Ed goes "I have to head home to a big dinner.." Elizabeth sighs "And I just took off my clothes my sweet sugar daddy." At Hall Enterprises, Adam walks around, alone, glancing into his new office as he sees someone and they ask "Who are you?" Change Of Season: Episode 1. Pilot

   In the growing city of Sullivan, founded in the late 19th Century upon the oil boom, a change of guard has taken place as the Patriarch of the Hall Family, James G. Hall has passed away from a sudden heart attack and his Wife, Natalie Hall sits inside the Hall Manor, situated in Downtown Sullivan as her best friend and confidant, Caroline Broward, widow of Forrest Broward sits inside the den, as Natalie looks at a portrait of her late Husband, and takes a puff from her cigarette, as Caroline warns her friend "You know you should give them things up." Natalie sighs with sadness, as she turns to her "My everything. He is gone, and my favorite child is gone Caroline. The only child I relate to is Anna, and the others, well.." Caroline asks Natalie "You seem to be hiding something from me Natalie. I've known you since school and know when you are keeping a secret." Natalie tells Caroline "I found him, after all these years. Once he arrives, he gets the keys to Hall Enterprises." Caroline asks "Who have you found Natalie?" Natalie goes "Our Grandson." Caroline gasps, as she asks "And how will your Daughters take your news? Need I remind you since James died you have stayed locked in this manor and only spoken to me and that maid of yours." Elsie Smallwood, Natalie's personal maid and friend, walks in, as she snaps at Caroline "I have a damn name you bitch." Caroline gets up, and tells Natalie "Well I need to visit Paul and.." Natalie warns her "Caroline keep that mouth shut! I have a dinner planned tonight and the announcement will come then." Caroline warns "This won't go well you know." Natalie responds "I have played my part for James all these years as the sweet wife. Now that he's gone, time to let my Daughters know once and for all who is running the damn show." Caroline leaves, as she glares at Elsie, as Elsie glares back, as the doorbell rings, and Elsie answers, as Bo Jennings, a private detective walks inside, and looks at Natalie and Elsie, and looks at his Mother In Law, as she goes "Time for a beer." Elsie heads to the kitchen, as Bo hands a large envelope to Natalie, as he tells her "Here is everything on him and more. You might want to sit or join Elsie in the kitchen." Natalie tells him "I'll call you tomorrow for your payment. Thank you." Bo walks out, as Natalie walks into James' former office, and opens the envelope, as she starts to read his findings.

    At Hall Enterprises, in Downtown Sullivan in Hall Tower, Ed Banks walks into his office, as his Wife, Ella and their Son Jake follow. Ed tells his Wife and Son "Well since I am now the head honcho around this place, time we consider making changes." Ella reminds her Husband "Right now Mama is in charge.." Ed snaps "And where is she Ella? I've been calling all the shots since your Father died in that office across from me!" Ella gets a text, and sighs "I'm heading downstairs and meet up with Trisha. I will leave the two of you to do business." Jake tells his Father "Ok Mom's gone." Ed smiles, as he goes "James told me years ago he wanted me to run this if anything happened to him. And since you are an attorney for Hall Enterprises, how about a favor for your Dad?" Jake takes a deep breath, and warns him "Look I done one and saved you, this is something you and Grandma will need to discuss." Ed goes "Yeah and so you owe me." Jake gets up, and tells his Father "I'm headed to my office. And I know how Grandma works, and she at least calls me, so I want to keep my relationship good with her. You may want to think about that as well." Jake leaves, as Ed walks over, and pours himself a drink, and has a flashback, and sighs with worry "If she knew.."

     At Sullivan International Airport, an airplane lands, as a man sits inside and takes a deep breath, as the pilot tells him "Limo is waiting for you. Welcome to Sullivan." The man grabs his suitcase, and walks out and gets into the limousine. At Broward Inc, Paul Broward sits inside his office, and takes a drink of coffee as he reads the sales reports, as the secretary walks in and tells him "Your Mother's here." Paul gets up from his desk as he greets her with a hug as Caroline sits down and Paul asks "So you've not heeded my warning Son?" Paul asks his Mother "What's the problem with a young lady working here? We already have her Aunt and I can't stand that bitch." Caroline sighs "Well Paul, Janet Morris has done great work, can't help she married poor people and you keep that tramp in a desk I once sat at and helped your Father build this company." Paul grows frustrated and asks "What did Lacey Jennings ever do to you?" Caroline snaps "Her Mother was who did it to me Paul. I demanded Fancy to be fired, and you better fire Lacey before she tries to break up your loveless marriage." Paul sighs and asks "Where are you going Mother? I don't like this cryptic Smallwood bashing spree you seem to be going on to discussing Sarah." Caroline is silent, as she goes "Well Paul, you call the shots here. Maybe I need a hobby and not meddle in your affairs." Caroline walks out, as Lacey Jennings sits at her desk, and Caroline quips "You make one mistake and I will destroy your career before it starts!" Caroline leaves, as Lacey sends a text to her Mother, and Fancy replies "Meet me at The Mansion."

     Back at Hall Manor, Natalie is silent, as her jaw has dropped in disbelief, as Elsie walks into James' former office and asks "Are you alright?" Natalie stutters, and answers "I don't believe it. That girl..." Elsie goes "What girl?" Natalie tells Elsie "You know Elizabeth Travis isn't Danny's Daughter." Elsie nods, and adds "But I consider her one of my own." Natalie hands a piece of the report over to Elsie, as she reads, and goes "I'll be damn Natalie. You have a huge mess on your hands I can't clean for ya." Natalie sarcastically answers back "And does Elizabeth know about this?" Elsie answers, as she takes a drink from her beer "No she doesn't. Karen hasn't mentioned him before. She met Danny and they got together when she was pregnant." Natalie opens the desk, and pulls out two glasses, and tells Elsie "Well this will be our secret, and I need a drink myself.", pouring herself and Elsie a glass of liquor, as Elsie quips "Now I know hell's about to break loose!" At The Crown, a bar and social spot in Hall Tower, Ella meets with her youngest Sister, Trisha Broward, as they hug and Trisha tells her Oldest Sister "Anna should be here shortly." Ella grows upset and snaps "Why in the hell did you invite her? You know damn well whatever we discuss, she'll go back and tell her and then she will likely cut us completely off." Trisha smiles, and assures Ella "We have Husbands who are powerful men, and I have a successful nephew who can help us take over Daddy's Estate." Ella warns her "Trisha, I know what you are after, and I'm not getting Jake into this." Trisha snaps back "Mama has been M.I.A. since Daddy died! She told me to leave her alone." Ella responds "Same here for me." Trisha adds "Anna is the only one she has allowed in our family home and you have even said you think she might be taking up boozing with Elsie! Caroline goes over there, but we know how she is." Ella quips "I love Aunt Caroline." Trisha murmurs "Auntie my ass. She is Mama's best friend and has hated me ever since I got together with her Son." Ella and Trisha both gets a text, as Anna Evans walks in and asks her Sisters "Did y'all get.." Ella and Trisha nod, and Ella cuts to the point and asks Anna "So what is our Mama planning? Hell she talks to you." Anna looks at the text, and tells her Sister "I'm sworn to secrecy. And I want no part in this plot the two of you are involved in." Trisha goes "We are only concerned.." Anna yells "Yeah, with Daddy's company and Ella is bidding for her precious Ed and we know you would kill to get everything! I am out of here. See the two of you tonight! And so you know, Mama isn't in the mood for any shit!" Anna storms out, as Ella looks at Trisha, as Ella goes "Mama's been plotting." Trisha nods in agreement, as they order drinks.

     Meanwhile the limousine pulls up to the Crepe Myrtle Hotel, Sullivan's top and most exclusive  hotel, the man gets out and the limo driver tells him "I will be waiting as told." The man nods, and walks inside, and tells the lady at the desk "I have a suite waiting upstairs." The man shows his I.D., as the lady goes "Oh yes sir, everything has been taken care of." The man gets his keycard and heads to his suite. Back at Hall Enterprises, Ed sits at his desk, as he reads his text, pouring himself a drink and grinning, as he says "Tonight this will be mine." At The Mansion, a local gathering spot in Sullivan, Lacey arrives as her Mother, Fancy Jennings, the youngest child of Elsie Smallwood and owner of The Mansion, awaits her Daughter, and tells her "I ordered us both a strong drink. So she's still gunning for you?" Lacey asks her Mother "What in the hell is Caroline's problem with you? Because she seems to.." Fancy looks at her and answers "She is a high society bitch sweetheart. She has a big problem with the entire family. One of your Granny's reasons for drinking working for Natalie, who at least treats us decent." Bo walks up, as he goes "So my two favorite girls are at my favorite spot and having a drink? Mind if I join y'all?" Fancy hugs her Husband, with a kiss, and smiles "Certainly not baby." Lacey asks her Father "So are you finished with that mission Ms. Hall sent you on?" Bo looks at his Wife and Daughter, and answers "I am done with my part. And Fancy, your may just want to go pick up Elsie from the manor." Fancy asks "What did you find Bo?" Bo responds "Since Natalie made me sign a disclosure from discussing it, well all I can say is right now I bet Natalie's done pulled out the hard liquor and knowing your Mama.." Fancy rolls her eyes, as Bo assures his Wife ''Caroline didn't take part. All Natalie." Fancy sighs with relief, as Lacey looks at her parents with a thought crossing her mind.

     At Broward Inc, Paul is inside his office, as Janet sits at his desk and in a snooty tone goes "It's time we conquer Hall Enterprises in a merger.." Paul stands up and snaps angrily "Look you crazy bitch! My Mama and Natalie are best friends and tonight Trisha and I are going over to Natalie's for dinner. My Mother wouldn't go for that idea but you should call her and tell her your bright idea. I wish your Husband was still working here. Hell, he's at least got some sense and down to earth." Janet snarks "Ricky can stay at home and wasn't for me he'd be as sorry as the rest of his family!" Paul gets up, as he heads to the door, and boldly tells her "Janet, there's a gentleman's agreement that Hall and Broward both co-exist, as my Mother and my Mother In Law are best friends, and if you try anything, then I intend to fire your ass whether my Mama likes it or not, and if she heard this, she'd do the honors herself! I'm meeting with my Wife now and you can go and do some work besides keeping up with damn gossip and stirring up a fight!" Paul leaves, as Janet heads to her office, and pulls out her phone. At the Broward Mansion, Caroline sits in the living room, as she has a flashback, and glares at a portrait on the wall of her and Forrest, as she walks up to it and snarls "You son of a bitch. Well dear, Natalie and I now officially are connected, and time that I return down there and fix your mistake." At Hall Manor, Elsie sits in the office, as she makes a phone call to her Husband, as Tom Smallwood answers and asks his Wife "Do you just drink with that woman?" Elsie snaps "Tell Karen to cook supper tonight and I will be home later. I'll make up for it asshole." Tom replies in a smug tone "I know you will. And I'll like that part."
